Republicans’ day of reckoning on Trump is coming

Twelve Senate Republicans stopped Donald Trump from invoking a national emergency to pay for a wall on the southern border last Friday…three times as many senators than needed to pass it. That’s the good news. The bad news? Even more Republicans will be needed to override Trump’s veto. What’s worse is the fact that if more Republicans don’t join Democrats in overriding this veto they will provide Trump even more power when he has a history of not acting in the best interest of our country.

Mary Anne, shouldn’t you be over at CNN? Never mind. There’s less and less difference with each passing day.

Which country?
The coastal elites or flyover country?
He has damaged the Deep State.
But is this bad?
He has helped minorities. Is this bad?
CNN for you, but no soup.

Those twelve "Republicans" are going to suffer for this rottenness. We stand with Trump. We want the southern invasion stopped before we must deal with a northern one.

Mary Ann Marsh is the forever hardcore Dem operative who crawls under the door over at Fox once in a while. Totally brainwashed and charged with doing it to others. Her articles should bear skull and crossbones symbols.

MaryAnne needs to learn about the powers of an EO. She could start with the history, but should not skip the reasoning.
I´m not surprised, but I´m deeply disappointed at what Fox has become.

That hot dog was thrown down the hallway ages ago by Obama, while a republican controlled congress did nothing. Suddenly Trump is doing what congress should have and the so called republicans are suddenly alert and offended. Get real!

FTA:
"... I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.”
So you think that sounds like a threat do you? You are welcome to disagree on that which is in the best interest of the country but under Trump the iron boot of government has been lifted slightly and everyday Americans are back to work. You in your ivory tower may not have been touched by Obama’s anti-growth policies but much of the country was, as we had been for decades under disparate trade policies. We didn’t exactly think it was in our nation’s best interest to surrender our uranium to Russia and we also see how that resulted in the direct financial enrichment of those in the Obama administration.
So back to what you see as a threat, I think that there is a rational concern for what we the people might do if our government continues to neglect their duty to sustain the sovereignty of our nation.
You see Ms. March, when a nation is experiencing a coup on the part of elements of their own government there is a danger that the people remaining in support of the legal entity might just push back. And given the history of the American spirit of freedom and individual liberty that push back could be quite an event. Consider that more of a promise than a threat.

Article discounted.
I thought it would say how the "dirty dozen" GOPers who voted against safety, security, and prosperity for American citizens should lose their power over the people since they do not work for them, but rather for the $$$.
I am not voting for Pa´s member of the Dirty Dozen, Pat Toomey. He lost my vote, sure hope many other citizens of the state feel the same way and vote against him next year.

Mike Lee said his vote was about keeping presidential powers in check, but when the lame duck congress had the chance to vote for this and did not he said that was a wonderful budget. Sorry Mike. When the chance to primary you comes along, this Utah state and county delegate is going to vote for someone else and encourage other GOP delegates to do the same.

When are these sob sisters in the media going to realize that the country is made up of a whole lot more than just the Swamp creatures/interests in DC? Maybe if they get their passports that they think they need out of their desk drawers and come to flyover country.
They might learn a thing or three about WHY we elected Trump in the first place. The interest of our country would be the NE to build the wall. The CoC, corporate donors and other hacks just need to start remembering that.

To #9 Toomey isn´t up for reelection next time around. He goes in 2022. So your best bet is to do what I did and send an email that tells him that you are watching his votes and expect him to support the American people not foreign citizens. His defense is that he wants the congress to decide how money is spent but since they are failing to live up to their duties to uphold the borders and the COnstitution I think we have a need to explain that that argument is not cutting it. The Senators actually do count pro and con calls and emails so let him hear from you.

To those of you searching for a conservative alternative to FOX check out OAN news all day. Even international news rather than the bobble head pundits that appear everywhere else. They have their pundits on at night but the news is straight reporting and repeated every hour. Worth checking out.

I am finding that podcasts are more informative (and a lot less aggravating to listen to) than FNC these days. Fox cable and broadcast producers insisting on "panels"
with prog mouthpieces who bully, talk over, and take over the air time drive me straight up the wall.
Breitbart News, Laura Ingraham, Sebastian Gorka, Herman Cain, and the new House Freedom Caucus podcasts are where I go in addition to Drudge and here at Lucianne go get informed.
Blaze/CRTV and OANN are other good sources. Soundcloud.com has on-demand repeats of many of these.
We no longer need FNC, the GOP or their globalist advertisers, donors, and other financiers.

Actually, it is better for the GOPe/Uniparty if the veto holds up. You have Republican Sen. Rand Paul and others already trumpeting how this "emergency" is unconstitutional. Both chambers of Congress have voted against it. If Trump "violates" his Constitutional powers by spending unappropriated money on The Wall there is a following argument that he abused his powers - and that is "impeachable". Paul and others will have a difficult time backing away from this "principle" when faced with it. Don´t think Trump´s veto is the final word...
