To See That Leftism Has Crossed A Red Line

I’ll preface my commentary with the obvious: All of the “mostly peaceful” protests by our “college educated” on campuses nationwide that are clearly pro-Hamas and aimed at Jewish students are wrong, illegal, and all involved should either go back to the classes their parents and taxpayers are funding or be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. But why the sudden sanctimonious outrage from the media and pundit class, billionaire donors, business leaders, and politicians? Why are the harassment and threats against Jewish students a red line that’s been crossed and now found to be totally unacceptable? It’s only because the current violence hits too close to home.

Comments:

But so far, Georgie Boy Soros who is of Jewish heritage himself isn't seeing this way.

Oh, it goes back further than that. Remember Occupy Wallstreet...bought and paid for by the Left? And let's not forget how Tea Party activitists were smeared by the same media and politicians -- handwringing b/c they "could" turn violent. These billionaires funded these schools -- and by default, these movements -- without ever asking for accountability on how their funds were being used. I saw Leon Cooperman interviewed on CNBC this week -- he was trying to claim, "well, my money goes to the business school at Columbia" like somehow the business school is an island of sanity at Columbia. It is not...it has been infiltrated with DEI commies who have been using HIS money to indoctrinate students. While I'm glad they are finally waking up, it is too little and waaaaaay too late. The damage is done.

It's good to see who the politicians masters truly are. Your stuff can burn for a summer: Sorry, best I can do is "LAW & ORDER!!!" Criticize a certain country in the ME, yeah you folks have about 5 minutes to disperse. God, I wish our politicians cared about our country 1/1000 as they do others.

What makes you think the 'powerful people' won't just tolerate this evil like all others. These 'powerful people' positioned themselves to benefit from the evils of Nazism and Communism in the past. They will do so now. It's not the 'powerful' that stand up to evil. They can be bought.

And the antifa thugs are still organizing and the FBI/KGb hunts down patriots, parents who question school boards and Constitutionalists instead of the antifa thugs, Hamas terrorists and reforming Black Panther criminal gangs.

going by the way Hamas uses its followers in Gaza, they are putting these kids in the line of fire and hoping for the worst, so they (Hamas) can speak for the dead as usual, prance about as moral authorities and stir up even more violence and trouble. Parents take your children home! Hamas wants them for cannon fodder. Take them home!!

The America that I knew regularly performed miracles. We put men on the moon, dug the Panama Canal, invented the atomic bomb, and created the transistor. There was no limit to what we could do. Nothing seemed impossible. Fifty years ago, the seeds of our destruction were planted with the beginning of the social justice movement, the anti-war movement, identity politics, and alternatives promoted as equal to or superior to intact nuclear families. We were told, “Do your thing,” without regard for society’s needs. A new version of communism stormed our shores, led by teachers’ unions, free love, and blaming whites for every wrong imaginable.

From Europe to India, farmers have taken to the streets in recent months to protest agricultural policies. First, demonstrations erupted across Europe, with farmers forming blockades, dumping manure in cities, and egging government buildings. Now, thousands of farmers have marched toward New Delhi in scenes that recall the mass protests of 2020-21. Although the reasons for agricultural workers’ discontent differ from country to country, the ongoing unrest comes as the world’s farmers are “increasingly feeling under political attack,” [snip]. This edition of Flash Points considers the root causes of the farmers’ protests, what unites them, and how climate and trade policy are transforming global agriculture.

Last week, The National Pulse reports that Trump is leading in all seven battleground states. Pop the cork! Trump wins... Not yet, anyway. This isn’t to suggest that Trump boosters shouldn’t be heartened by polling data and trends favorable to 45. Apart from hardcore progressive Kool-Aid drinkers, who believes that their lives are better off after three years of doddering Joe Biden? Four more years of the Enfeebled One would transform the Republic into Oakland. Yet what did we learn from polling in 2016, 2020, and 2022?

On Sunday, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida ended his presidential bid and announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump after landing just over 20% of the Iowa caucus vote. [snip] Nevertheless, party infighting only continues with online attacks and congressional hold ups threatening the unity of the GOP. The Republican party needs to reset its priorities: There will be plenty of time to fight over budgets, abortion rights, and foreign policy after securing the presidency. Until then, any internal squabbles can be used as free ammunition by the Democratic party. Republicans will need to get their house in order to secure a majority vote in November.

The political adage “If you cannot beat them, join them” has been well-known for centuries. So, the Left made one extra step and arrived at the “if you cannot beat them, lead them.” The Left has been trying (unsuccessfully) various methods to eliminate capitalists and private property. Eventually, Leftists learned their lesson and decided to preside over private property instead of confiscating and spreading it around. Lenin used it (the so-called “New Economic Policy” in the Soviet Union 1921-1928), Mussolini used it, Hitler used it, and the Chinese used it. It blatantly violates a well-demarcated borderline between the government and the governed. However, by now, it is the cornerstone of globalism.

Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn of Colorado announced Friday that he won’t seek a 10th term in Congress in the latest shakeup of Colorado’s U.S. House races for the 2024 election. Lamborn, who represents the Colorado Springs area, about an hour south of Denver, talked about his plans to retire at the end of 2024 on a radio show Friday morning, saying he wants to spend more time with family. His planned departure comes on the heels of Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert’s announcement last week that she’s running in a different district, where the seat’s been left open after Republican U.S. Rep. Ken Buck said he wouldn’t run again.

In a recent article I pointed out that the conflict in Israel is very important, but it’s a distraction from another major goal: an attack against the United States that would make 9/11 pale in comparison. Remember, Israel is the “Little Satan” but the U.S. is the “Great Satan.” Though the world now rightly focuses on Israel, the world’s sole Jewish state is largely irrelevant as regards the real threat to world peace: militant Islam. If you really want to address root causes, then look no further. Israel and the Jews are but a convenient distraction, a red herring, just the canary in the coal mine.

A profound irony of Israel’s latest grim suffering is that the knife- and gun-wielding Palestinian (Hamas-sponsored) terrorists and their leftist cheerleaders in the American academy reveal a deplorable collusion between what ordinarily would be antagonists. The collaborative condemnation by the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee that held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for” the October 7 slaughter suggests a bewildering collusion between far right and far left: fundamentalist Islamists supported by woke, neo-Marxist radicals.

It’s been a week since wildfires on Maui ravaged the island and sent residents streaming into the ocean to avoid the flames. So far, Joe Biden has “no comment” about the casualties and, presumably, he has nothing to say about the massive relief efforts that are surely underway. But are they underway? According to the Wall Street Journal, “State and federal aid is trickling into the region in the wake of the deadliest U.S. wildfire event in over 100 years.” So after a full week, aid is just “trickling in” from FEMA to deal with the destruction of most of the Western part of Maui?

Wildfires in Hawaii − fueled in part by strong winds from a passing hurricane − have forced hundreds of evacuations, caused thousands to lose power, destroyed homes and even sent some residents fleeing into the ocean to escape the flames. County of Maui spokesperson Mahina Martin told USA TODAY on Wednesday that the fires are affecting three areas of the island: Lahaina, a residential and tourist area with a commercial district in West Maui; Kula, a residential area in the inland, mountainous Upcountry region; and Kihei, home to a mix of residential homes, condominiums, short-term vacation rentals and visitor facilities in South Maui.

Pope Francis told CBS News this week that climate change deniers are “stupid” even in the face of compelling evidence of a climate emergency. “Some people are stupid (necios), and stupid even if you show them research, they don’t believe it,” the pontiff told CBS Evening News anchor Norah O’Donnell when asked what he would say to the deniers of climate change. “Why? Because they don’t understand the situation, or because of their interests, but climate change exists,” the 87-year-old pope asserted. Pope Francis had never before sat down for an extensive interview, one-on-one, with a U.S. television network during the course of his 11-year pontificate.
