We Must Have Courage To Take Back Our Country

The America that I knew regularly performed miracles. We put men on the moon, dug the Panama Canal, invented the atomic bomb, and created the transistor. There was no limit to what we could do. Nothing seemed impossible. Fifty years ago, the seeds of our destruction were planted with the beginning of the social justice movement, the anti-war movement, identity politics, and alternatives promoted as equal to or superior to intact nuclear families. We were told, “Do your thing,” without regard for society’s needs. A new version of communism stormed our shores, led by teachers’ unions, free love, and blaming whites for every wrong imaginable.

Comments:

Take America back? You betchya. Happy Easter everyone.

While our generation was busy absolving themselves of guilt by proclaiming "God is Dead," "if it feels good do it," "never trust anyone over 30," "tune in, turn on and drop out," all the while wallowing in drugs and debauchery, I was overseas in the military protecting their right to indulge in their juvenile nihilistic hedonism. Most of them never got over it and are now running (read destroying) the country. If America's best days are behind it, it is due to those gutless, clueless parasites among us, that sit with their head securely up their posterior, and both hands in someone else's pocket, while looking to the government to support their juvenile sense of entitlement, rather than working and sacrificing to help themselves. As a result, the entire country suffers because of it. The tyranny of these parasites, in and out of government, is what is destroying the country, and your friends on the left, buying their votes with our money, are responsible for its decline.

I hope we can recover without a massive bloodletting. It seems increasingly unlikely, but I continue to hold out hope, and to pray for our country.

50 years ago, we were still a G_d fearing Christian nation. Morality was a thing, charity was a thing, kindness and politeness was a thing. We all believed in the same things and argued over how to achieve results. The nation was blessed. Since then, all of the above has gone away, along with the blessings and protections.

My worry is that we will have very few smart people in the future, particularly in Western countries. People like those who put men on the moon, who make breakthrough in medicine, etc. Our children are being taught (perhaps not overtly) that knowledge and learning are about feelings and grievances and that math is inherently racist. History is about oppression and oppressors. How many children will have the career goal of being "activists" or "advocates" instead of scientists and engineers?

The author indicates that the seeds of our destruction were planted 50 years ago; however, I believe it was 55 to 60 years ago, as practically en entire generation of our current politicians used their family's influence to avoid the draft, typically with multiple deferments.

Why Farmers Are Protesting Around the World 9 replies

From Europe to India, farmers have taken to the streets in recent months to protest agricultural policies. First, demonstrations erupted across Europe, with farmers forming blockades, dumping manure in cities, and egging government buildings. Now, thousands of farmers have marched toward New Delhi in scenes that recall the mass protests of 2020-21. Although the reasons for agricultural workers’ discontent differ from country to country, the ongoing unrest comes as the world’s farmers are “increasingly feeling under political attack,” [snip]. This edition of Flash Points considers the root causes of the farmers’ protests, what unites them, and how climate and trade policy are transforming global agriculture.

Last week, The National Pulse reports that Trump is leading in all seven battleground states. Pop the cork! Trump wins... Not yet, anyway. This isn’t to suggest that Trump boosters shouldn’t be heartened by polling data and trends favorable to 45. Apart from hardcore progressive Kool-Aid drinkers, who believes that their lives are better off after three years of doddering Joe Biden? Four more years of the Enfeebled One would transform the Republic into Oakland. Yet what did we learn from polling in 2016, 2020, and 2022?

On Sunday, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida ended his presidential bid and announced his endorsement of former President Donald Trump after landing just over 20% of the Iowa caucus vote. [snip] Nevertheless, party infighting only continues with online attacks and congressional hold ups threatening the unity of the GOP. The Republican party needs to reset its priorities: There will be plenty of time to fight over budgets, abortion rights, and foreign policy after securing the presidency. Until then, any internal squabbles can be used as free ammunition by the Democratic party. Republicans will need to get their house in order to secure a majority vote in November.

The political adage “If you cannot beat them, join them” has been well-known for centuries. So, the Left made one extra step and arrived at the “if you cannot beat them, lead them.” The Left has been trying (unsuccessfully) various methods to eliminate capitalists and private property. Eventually, Leftists learned their lesson and decided to preside over private property instead of confiscating and spreading it around. Lenin used it (the so-called “New Economic Policy” in the Soviet Union 1921-1928), Mussolini used it, Hitler used it, and the Chinese used it. It blatantly violates a well-demarcated borderline between the government and the governed. However, by now, it is the cornerstone of globalism.

Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn of Colorado announced Friday that he won’t seek a 10th term in Congress in the latest shakeup of Colorado’s U.S. House races for the 2024 election. Lamborn, who represents the Colorado Springs area, about an hour south of Denver, talked about his plans to retire at the end of 2024 on a radio show Friday morning, saying he wants to spend more time with family. His planned departure comes on the heels of Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert’s announcement last week that she’s running in a different district, where the seat’s been left open after Republican U.S. Rep. Ken Buck said he wouldn’t run again.

In a recent article I pointed out that the conflict in Israel is very important, but it’s a distraction from another major goal: an attack against the United States that would make 9/11 pale in comparison. Remember, Israel is the “Little Satan” but the U.S. is the “Great Satan.” Though the world now rightly focuses on Israel, the world’s sole Jewish state is largely irrelevant as regards the real threat to world peace: militant Islam. If you really want to address root causes, then look no further. Israel and the Jews are but a convenient distraction, a red herring, just the canary in the coal mine.

A profound irony of Israel’s latest grim suffering is that the knife- and gun-wielding Palestinian (Hamas-sponsored) terrorists and their leftist cheerleaders in the American academy reveal a deplorable collusion between what ordinarily would be antagonists. The collaborative condemnation by the Harvard Undergraduate Palestine Solidarity Committee that held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for” the October 7 slaughter suggests a bewildering collusion between far right and far left: fundamentalist Islamists supported by woke, neo-Marxist radicals.

It’s been a week since wildfires on Maui ravaged the island and sent residents streaming into the ocean to avoid the flames. So far, Joe Biden has “no comment” about the casualties and, presumably, he has nothing to say about the massive relief efforts that are surely underway. But are they underway? According to the Wall Street Journal, “State and federal aid is trickling into the region in the wake of the deadliest U.S. wildfire event in over 100 years.” So after a full week, aid is just “trickling in” from FEMA to deal with the destruction of most of the Western part of Maui?

The Key Bridge was built at a cost (adjusted for inflation) of about $200 million. Democrats in the state Legislature passed the law last year in part as an acknowledgement that many of the more than 500,000 people who work in fast food restaurants are not teenagers earning some spending money, but adults working to support their families. That includes immigrants like Ingrid Vilorio, who said she started working at a McDonald’s shortly
