Dems Comparing Modern Laws to Jim Crow: Is it Hyperbole, Ignorance, or Dishonesty?

Original Article

Virtually every day we see new examples of our friends on the left overplaying their hands as they engage in wild exaggerations. They told us Donald Trump is a Nazi. (No, he isn’t, because a true Nazi leader would have thrown you in a concentration camp for criticizing him.) They’ve told us if we use the ‘OK’ hand signal then we’re White Supremacists. (No, that’s been a gesture which has been used for over a century indicating “all is well.”) And they accuse us of being

Comments:

Democrats are the real racists. Anything they look at, they see race, and they try to drive a wedge between us. They are awful human beings.

Considering that the Democrats WERE the party of Jim Crow (and in trying to keep minorities in their place re: education etc. still are) and Biden actually gave the eulogy at Robert Byrd's funeral, this once again is an indictment of the Press in general for taking this Jim Crow stuff seriously........just LOOK at what Georgia has done to make sure elections are fair TO ALL eligible compared to say Biden's Delaware of Booker's N.J. Again, the PRESS!!!!!!.

It is the new word used to destroy any one who dares to run as a Republican. They still use the word racism when they are lying and trying to keep up the hoax.

#1, correct. The democratic party was and still is the party of Jim Crow, slavery and the KKK. They are the party of George Wallace, segregation, and Robert Byrd. Yes senator Robert Byrd, the close friend of Joe Biden who led the KKK in West Virginia. Today, its the democrats who run the plantation that refuses to educate their black residents. They, who are against school choice, voucher programs, charter schools and anything else that will educate the blacks on their plantation. And the freakin democratic voter still doesn't get it. Appalling..

The primary thing is dishonesty. There are plenty who know that these claims are lies. But, in "the black community" they have been lied to their entire lives and they have BOUGHT INTO those lies, and have no desire to learn that the Democrats are the party of slave holders. The Democrats are the KKK. The Democrats fought against civil rights tooth and nail as long as they could. Everything that most blacks "know" about race relations is wrong, because they have been lied to by the race hustlers that they look up to as 'leaders' and the crooked, lying politicians who are the REAL people "keeping them down", which they like to blame on whites. The people who are actually 'keeping down' blacks are their leaders and their own criminal, violent, totally dysfunctional "urban ghetto culture", which disavows all behaviors which give success in life as "acting white".

4 months ago nobody had heard about Jim Crow for years and years. Now, it is the magic Democrat key word to scare people about things that they disagree with. Democrats have been doing their best to make sure that racial divisiveness stays front and center in their efforts to maintain and gain more power over the gullible masses. Whether it is something as simple as how someone hold their hands/fingers to how a State runs it's elections, good old Jim Crow is out there controlling the evil White Republicans every move to maintain their dominance over the oppressed Black, Brown, Asian, women, and LGBTQ minorities. Apparently any new rule or regulation passed by a Republican ONLY effects minorities, LGBTQ, women, and other oppressed groups and manages to skip over White people.

Liz Cheney ousted from role as House GOP Conference chair; replacement still unclear 18 replies

House Republicans ousted Rep. Liz Cheney Wednesday morning in a closed-door vote from the No. 3 spot from leadership -- but the Wyoming Republican remained defiant on the way out. Cheney had remained steadfast in her opposition to former President Donald Trump and his "dangerous lies" about the 2020 election being stolen from him -- putting her at odds with other House Republicans who wanted to move on from the Jan. 6 riot and unite the party to win in the 2022 midterms. Cheney was removed by a voice vote and took a swing at Trump after the Capitol meeting.

At the risk of modeling a “soft bigotry of low expectations” and/or sounding racist, here goes nothing: I recently learned that there are several majority-black, upper-class communities in America. And I am not talking like an inversion of George Floyd Square that encompasses a few blocks; I am talking entire developments and dedicated city areas. It’s not necessarily surprising given the profundity of opportunity in and greatness of this country, and yet I genuinely didn’t know such prosperous communities existed. CORRECTION*

Prior to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – a law that was passed by an overwhelmingly white Congress and signed by a white president – separating students according to the color of their skin was commonplace, particularly in southern states. Laws that had become known collectively as “Jim Crow” were designed to divide us by race. Black students attended ‘colored’ schools, which had colored teachers and colored sports teams, while white students learned in white schools. After 1964, as the integration of everything from schools to water fountains advanced, and as we moved on from the bigotry of Jim Crow, America’s…CORRECTIONS*

It raises the possibility of a complete break with the GOP and the creation of a third party in the face of what the signers term 'despotism.'

A third person familiar with the ransom said the U.S. government is aware Colonial paid Darkside. Colonial declined Bloomberg‘s request for comment. The attack forced Colonial to temporarily shut down much of its services, causing gas shortages and rising prices across the east coast.

Last month, the faculty senate at Pennsylvania State University passed a resolution urging the school to erase certain words from its lexicon, due to the supposedly problematic legacy of the “typically male-centered world” out of which the terms grew. The resolution aims at gendered pronouns such as “he/him/his” and “she/her/hers,” but it also demonizes the four iconic terms for a person’s years in college (and, often, high school): “freshman,” “sophomore,” “junior,” and “senior.” “The University, as with most all academic institutions world-wide, has grown out of a typically male-centered world. Herman Melville’s novel Moby Dick is one the finest books ever written for many reasons, but the main theme is obsession. The captain of the whale ship Pequod is obsessed with hunting down and killing the white whale, the giant mammal that cost the captain his leg. Despite his having lost the last battle with the whale, Ahab is filled with a terrible resolve that is frustrated by his megalomania, his hubris and overconfidence. (snip) Doesn’t that character description sound exactly like Liz Cheney, just-ousted from her House GOP Caucus leadership slot? She is obsessed, overconfident and hubristic to the point of insanity.
