Trust Trump With Iran — or Not?

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) proudly supports term limits for Supreme Court justices. “The public’s trust in the Supreme Court has plummeted,” he announced in a press release. “Extreme conservatives on the Court have stripped away Americans’ fundamental rights. Term limits and a binding code of ethics will rebalance the Court and rebuild confidence in our institutions.” (Snip) Which brings us to President Donald Trump and this on-again, off-again, still-being-negotiated conclusion to the war in Iran. We’ve gone from demanding unconditional surrender to shuffling U.S. diplomats in and out of Pakistan, patiently waiting for the Iranians to capitulate.
Is Trump’s strategy wise?

I trust Trump and his team, but would have preferred to leave Iran to God, like The Book says. Lasting Mideast peace is a myth until then. Right now it looks like the Ayatollah Lucy is preparing to pull the football away from President Charlie Brown again, but we'll see.
At least it won't be like the George W. Bush Iraq and Afghanistan debacles that most of us bought off on. We'd see posts like "W is playing 3-D chess" or "Don't play poker with W, he's the consummate poker player." We found out that he couldn't even set up a checkerboard or play Go Fish. I don't put Trump anywhere near that category.

let me think..., if the question really is one of "cheap gas or a nuke-less Iran? " then the answer is pretty simple for most level headed people. On the other hand, if one has terminal TDS, aligns with the red/green-ies, or maybe is one of those box wine guzzling AWFLs with "Suicidal Empathy" then the answer is much different, and decidedly pro-Iranian Nuke.

Yes, nobody even comes close. He's done more to rectify Carter's disastrous mistakes than anyone in my lifetime.

Ro Knanna has been trying desperately to set himself up for a 2028 run at trhe White House. He is a self-inportant leftist jerk. Here another writer has rolled over for Khanna. Pass.

Does any sentient human being really believe that Trump will be taken for a ride? It ain't gonna happen! He says what he means. No nukes and unconditional surrender. Maybe the IRGC will need to be nudged, but Trump will get what he wants.

The Iranian mullet ideologues and IRGC Thugs are somewhere from extremely difficult to impossible to negotiate with.
I believe President Trump will do much better than anyone else could.
Trump is no fool,
He is a skilled and experienced negotiator,
He knows who -and what- he is dealing with,
He has America's best interest in his heart,
He does what he says he is going to do,
He is not afraid to use American power, yet does not waste it.
Does anyone have any suggestion as to who would be better?
I ask his critics... Would you rather have Heels-Up Harris in his stead?
.... and as for gas prices.... What would we be paying if Heels-Up was in the Oval Office, and the Federal government was being run from Behind the Green Curtain by Zero the Islamic Kenyan and his minions?

I trust Trump far, far more than anyone else who comes to mind. Ro Khana is that stuff you step in that you smell and have to stop and scrape off your shoe with a stick.

yes i do. at the moment he has got into a position where by putting his feet up on his desk and going to sleep he can finish off the IRGC by adding a corner to the blockade they started. time is on our side, Also, every couple days us media get hysterical about a deal or not a deal. all of this exhausts and divides iranian leadership and none of it is his fault. zzzzz. every so often he makes a "calming" remark such as let's wait for a good deal! this amps it all up. Also, US media and left keep giving irgc bad advice to not worry about the us military, they are pussycats. oh, sure they are.

The problem now is getting it done and getting gas prices down before the Mid-Term or take an ass whipping.

I doubt most lefties even realize President Trump has talked about Iran since the 80's. He did not suddenly do something from sheer impulse. Most of the left do not even the basics about out country. It is so bad.

We will never make a deal with Iran. (Hard stop)
I cannot see success unless we deal with the Mullahs like we dealt with the Third Reich.
I cannot deny that I’m having some doubts about our president’s handling of Iran.

Term limits for Congress and SCOTUS would require Constitutional amendments, i.e. 2/3 of each house and 3/4 of the states.

I trust President Trump on this issue, especially since I don't have access to the intelligence that he does.
