Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) was among the four Republican Senators who voted in favor of moving forward with a resolution that would direct President Donald Trump to pull the U.S. military out of the conflict with Iran.
Cassidy’s vote in favor of moving forward with the Iran War Powers Resolution comes days after he lost his reelection bid to Trump-endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA), and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming.
The Senate voted 50-47 to move the War Powers Resolution out from the Senate’s Foreign Relation Committee, with Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Cassidy voting with the Democrats, CBS News reported.

What do they mean "Turns". He has always been a snake-in-the-grass RINO.

Thune was able to allow a vote on this --- but couldn't muster the effort to allow a vote on the Save America Act. Thune could have Senate processed this into oblivion, but chose not to.

He's just another petulant 6 year old. And he is about as done as Liz Chaney. He's political career is toast in LA. He hasn't the turbo-lib street cred to make it in Californistan, New York, the New England states, Illinois, Washington or Oregon. So he is finished with the cushy goobernment gravy train. I can see him joining up with Bernie, AOC and Gore in a whirlwind tour of socialism sometime soon.

Iran is counting on US Congress stopping Trump at this point. It's stuff like this I give as reason Trump is not a Republican. Republicans in Congress stab Trump in the back while the Democrats openly oppose him.

This is what Congress does. Instead of actually doing it's job and passing legislation like the SAVE Act, they play political theater with resolutions such as this that have no realistic chance of going anywhere.

Cassidy won't the the only vengeful RINO after we turn them out. If we can get Cornyn out, he will be extremely vengeful as they have nothing to lose when they show their true blue colors after we fire them.

Problem is, Cassidy is going to remain a pain-in-the-southbound-end-of-a-northbound-horse until January 2027. Ditto for Senator Coryn if he finds the same fate next Tuesday here in Texas.
With Murkowski, Collins (we'll hold our noses on that one), Rand Paul and even McConnell, we don't need any more "help" for our Democrat friends this session. And it will make passing any more reconciliation bills much tougher.
I may agree with Pres Trump that Ken Paxton would be a better choice for Senator than John Coryn, but I'm not sure I would have issued an endorsement yesterday. All of us in Texas knew that Trump preferred Paxton, but it didn't need to be said. I expect he will beat Talerico in the fall, but it might be at the cost of a house seat or two.
