For a sense of how desperate the opponents of President Trump have become, consider the rallying cry issued by Hillary Clinton to her fellow travelers last Friday: “I want you to talk to two people — friends, neighbors, cookout attendees — about why Trump’s proposed budget would be a disaster for American kids.” Now, imagine yourself sitting down to enjoy a hotdog and a beer in the warm spring weather only to be accosted by your progressive brother-in-law who insists on boring the bejabbers out of you with a rote recitation of talking points thoughtfully provided by HRC.

Choosing and rigidly sticking to the insane side of 80-20 issues like men in women's sports and letting unlimited numbers of violent foreign criminals enter the country and be immune to all our laws is political suicide. I hope they keep it up.

The Democrats lost ALL three to Trump. Just failed to put together enough fraud in '16 and '24. In '20 COVID propaganda made the required ballot fraud 'reachable'. Let's get the base line straight.

America experiences up and down cycles but the fact that we are the greatest and most fortunate country in the world never changes. Some people will complain constantly as they enjoy their prosperity and beautiful surroundings and that will also never change because their complaining is a way of life. People with long memories will recall the succession of presidents that we have had and, in general, the republicans tried to do right by us and the democrats tried to control us. The worst example in my lifetime has been Barack Obama and the best has been Donald Trump. Joe Biden does not count because he was never really the president. Others affected us by varying degrees but those have been the extremes. If you live in a bubble there will always be things that you may not like but if you live with a worldwide mindset, there is no doubt that we have it pretty darn good and working to make it better is much more fun than being bitter all the time like our fellow travelers on the Left.

The dems used to get away with stuff because they had some level of competence and the propaganda media was able to spin for them. Now they are grossly incompetent, even at things they desperately want to accomplish and their media has imploded and has no credibility. For a while now, Conservatives have found liberals unbalanced and obnoxious and not worth trying to talk to. It's not worth your time and the emotional angst they throw at you. So encouraging these people to talk to "friends and family" is a joke. They are probably not in the same gatherings (because liberals have already shunned their Conservative family) and such topics are treated as toxic. Is a Conservative going to listen to people that they find irrational and nasty? Beyond that, the liberals have nothing contribute to a discussion so they focus on fear and hatred, a la "Trump is Hitler" or "Trump hates women and minorities" or "Trump is going to cut your Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security", all without evidence and in the face of absolute denial by Trump and by his actual actions. Liberals provide no specifics because they know if they say "Trump is cutting Medicaid to illegal immigrants", 2/3 of Americans would applaud his actions. So liberals lie. They have nothing left. Unfortunately for them, a majority of the rest of us KNOW they are lying.

FTA: "The Democrats have, thus far, failed to heed his advice. They continue to ignore concrete problems that working class voters of all races care about — high inflation, illegal immigration, violent crime and the poor quality of public education." Actually, these are the planks of the DemoRoids' platform. And he forgot "Transgenderism" and all the ugly ramifications it has.

No one exemplifies that establishment as Sally Quinn does. Not only is Quinn the doyenne of DC 'society,' she also has a columnist gig at the Washington Post for decades. Quinn was married to legendary Post editor Ben Bradlee for 36 years until his death in 2014, and has long been a formidable figure in the nation's capital, both politically and socially. So when Sally Quinn throws someone under a bus, it means something --

Like a lot of Democrats these days, Chris Murphy has been doing some soul searching. For years, the Connecticut Senator, who took office shortly after the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, was one of the nation’s most outspoken advocates for tighter gun laws. Gun safety was so important, he argued, that supporting an assault-weapons ban should be mandatory for Democratic leaders. Recently, Murphy has come to believe he was wrong. Not about tougher gun laws, but about trying to force all Democrats to adopt his position. “I bear some responsibility for where we are today,” he told me in a phone interview in April.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is angling to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2028 by trying to appeal to voters outside his progressive base. But he's not fooling anyone. Newsom, for example, has proposed limiting health care coverage for migrants who entered the country illegally. He's told local leaders in California to clear homeless encampments, which are a bane for urban dwellers from San Francisco to San Diego. And he's even engaged on his podcast in thoughtful, cordial conversations with conservatives like Charlie Kirk, cofounder of Turning Point USA.

President Trump’s return to the White House and his populist agenda constitute an existential threat to a Democratic Party so unpopular with its own voters that it is in danger of going the way of the Whigs. Several recent polls have revealed that only about 1 in 3 Democrats are optimistic about the future of their party. In response to this crisis, their leaders have reverted to their longstanding tradition of inciting political violence. James Comey claims he is “nonaligned” politically, yet his now notorious “8647” Instagram post was all too typical of Democrat calls for the President’s assassination.

I realize we increasingly have become a society that embraces a “my way or the highway” attitude. Both sides are guilty of that way of thinking. Yet, it seems especially egregious from those on the left. Progressives’ lack of tolerance for other views has presented itself in different iterations, from the cancel culture phenomenon to angry demonstrations on college campuses when a conservative dares to speak. So perhaps it's not surprising that liberals love slapping labels on those who have the audacity to believe something different from progressive dogma. Nazi. Hitler. Bigot. Hater. To name a few.

The S&P 500 climbed more than 3%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged more than 1,100 points and the Nasdaq Composite rose more than 4.3%. If the 2024 election told us nothing else, it confirmed that the voters aren’t nearly as credulous as the Democrats and the corporate media believe them to be. Indeed, according to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center six weeks prior to the election, only 22 percent of American adults believed news organizations deal fairly with all sides. Ironically, considering that the news coverage of the Trump administration has been overwhelmingly negative, the primary beneficiaries of this brazenly biased reporting appear to have been President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

The Catholic Church has issued a warning to its clergy in Washington state: Any priest who complies with a new law requiring the reporting of child abuse confessions to authorities will be excommunicated. The new law, which will take effect on July 27, eliminates the long-standing confidentiality of the confessional, forcing Catholic leaders and lawmakers into a highly charged standoff over religious liberty and child protection. However, the Archdiocese of Seattle and several bishops argue that the law not only contravenes church doctrine but crosses constitutional lines, while supporters maintain it is a crucial step to protect minors from abuse.

Illinois governor J. B. Pritzker’s 2025 budget reveals a notable retreat from progressive ambitions. Despite his past advocacy for expansive government programs and robust social spending, Pritzker proposes neither substantial tax increases nor significant new initiatives. Most conspicuously absent from his accompanying budget speech was any mention that the state would no longer fund free health care for illegal aliens aged 42 to 64. Extending coverage to that age cohort had been one of his recent progressive efforts, introduced with fanfare. The governor had to abandon it after costs surged 286 percent beyond original projections, producing budgetary shortfalls of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Under the bill, voters who live in states with in-person, same-day voter registration would still have the option to vote at a polling station.
