Former The View co-host, actor, and the celebrity face of self-deportation Rosie O’Donnell told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer the election of Donald Trump forced her and her “non-winery child to leave” America for Ireland.
“I have no regrets, not a day has gone by that I thought it was the wrong decision. I was welcomed with open arms. I knew after reading Project 2025 that if Trump got in, it was time for me and my non-binary child to leave the country,” the A League of Their Own star said Tuesday.
“It’s been heartbreaking, I have to tell you,” O’Donnell continued before launching into a diatribe.

Soros-backed Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty will not seek criminal charges for the Tim Walz staffer who vandalized at least six Teslas in Minnesota, causing $20,000 in damage.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office will seek “diversion” rather than criminal charges.
Last week, TGP reported that a fiscal policy analyst for Minnesota Governor (and failed VP candidate) Tim Walz’s administration was caught on camera vandalizing a Tesla.
Dylan Bryan Adams, 33, was caught on camera keying a Tesla while walking his dog.

The Supreme Court ruled that weekends and holidays cannot be counted when foreign nationals are given deadlines to leave the United States.
In a split 5-4 decision, a majority of justices on the nation’s highest court ruled in favor of Hugo Abisai Monsalvo Velazquez, a Mexican national who had been living unlawfully in the U.S. for years and ordered deported. Velazquez successfully argued that his 60-day notice to leave the country — which ended on a Saturday — should have provided more flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Michelle Obama is finally revealing why she missed President Trump’s inauguration in January.
The former first lady broke down the “hard” decision on the latest episode of her and brother Craig Robinson’s “IMO” podcast.
She called her headline-making choice the “right” one despite public “ridicule” while chatting with Taraji P. Henson.
The 61-year-old explained that she “basically tricked” herself into not attending the ceremony by making sure she did not “have anything to wear.” Obama recalled, “I was like, if I’m not going to do this thing, I’ve got to tell my team. I don’t even want to have a dress ready, right?”

The Trump administration has been mulling ways to get more Americans married and having kids — including a $5,000 “baby bonus” for every new mom after delivery, according to a report.
White House officials have recently been brainstorming plans to tackle the declining birth and marriage rates — and push more Americans toward the traditional family values of Trump and his allies.
Policy experts and advocates for boosting the birth rate have been meeting with White House aides to come up with plans to convince more women to have babies, four people who have been part of the meetings told the New York Times.

Democrats attempted to own the Trump administration by criticizing it for using real eggs for Monday’s White House Easter Egg Roll, claiming that Americans instead dyed potatoes due to the prices.
“Trump’s White House is using 30,000 real eggs worth over $15,500 for their Easter Egg Roll,” the Democrats’ official account — which boasts 2.3 million followers — said on X on the day of the annual tradition. “Meanwhile, Americans dyed potatoes instead of eggs this Easter to save money,” they bizarrely claimed.
(X) Many social media users were perplexed by the claims of these Democrats.
“Not a single American dyed potatoes,” one said.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) announced Wednesday that he will not seek re-election in 2026, saying he would “pass the torch” to up-and-coming leaders in his party.
The no. 2 Democrat in the Senate posted a video message on X explaining his decision to step down after having served five terms — “longer than anyone elected to the Senate” in Illinois’ history.
“The decision of whether to run for re-election has not been easy. I truly love the job of being a United States senator,” Durbin said. “But in my heart, I know it’s time to pass the torch.”

Conservative Christians have flooded social media with support for Cardinal Robert Sarah to succeed the late Pope Francis because of his strong traditionalist stands on sexuality and church doctrine as well as his opposition to mass immigration and Islamism.
Why It Matters
The rising profile of the African cardinal, 79, comes at a time of ideological division within Catholicism, as the Church grapples with questions of modernity, sexual identity, and religious pluralism, and also as more right wing political movements in Europe and elsewhere have challenged what they see as the orthodoxy of a liberal global elite.
Unlike Pope Francis—who often leaned into progressive stances on social justice and inclusion—

The Trump administration has begun an aggressive shake-up at the State Department that will close 132 agency offices, including those launched to further human rights, advance democracy overseas, counter extremism, and prevent war crimes.
The plans to reorganize the leading foreign policy agency in the United States are outlined in internal documents obtained by The Free Press. They show how the State Department will eliminate or restructure hundreds of offices in Washington, D.C.—a revelation that comes after reports in recent weeks of a rumored overhaul at the agency. The State Department is bringing its number of offices down from 734 to 602, a 17 percent reduction.

A group of Democratic congressional reps traveled to Louisiana to visit Mahmoud Khalil and Rümeysa Öztürk in a pair of federal detention centers on Tuesday as both face potential removal from the United States.
Five lawmakers — including Rep. Troy Carter, of Louisiana; Rep. Bennie Thompson, of Mississippi; and Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Jim McGovern and Sen. Ed Markey, all of Massachusetts — stopped by a federal Immigration of Customs Enforcement facility in Jena to see Khalil and then traveled to Basile, where Öztürk is detained, CNN reported.
