I am chagrinned that it has taken me this long to understand the emptiness of Democrat dogma. I started realizing this some years ago when I began building a curriculum for the college logic class I was going to teach; I was searching for debates that were won by left-leaning apologists, thinking I should present examples from both sides of the social/economic/religious worldviews. But I began to suspect that such examples weren’t to be found. I found people -- mostly men -- who could slide around from one logical fallacy to another with slippery skill, but none did any convincing.
Then came the Biden administration, when we watched the Democrat hollowness

The Trans Superiority Narrative (TSN) tells us men pretending to be women are special. They’re mystically in touch with a higher reality, a higher morality, a more authentic version of their humanity, their true selves. This exalted, superhuman status means they have “trans rights,” which cancel the actual constitutional rights of everyone else. The old axiom: “my right to swing my fist ends where another’s nose begins” doesn’t apply to trans, particularly not trans boys/men who want to beat girls/women in sports.
Normal Americans expected to accept this bizarre interpretation of rights and to fully accept the TSN and laud the “stunning bravery” of trans have long questioned their

Earlier this month, 17-year-old high school student Austin Metcalf was stabbed to death at a track meet in Frisco, Texas. Metcalf died in his twin brother’s arms.
As an educator who lives just down the road, I know too well how our system failed to keep Metcalf out of harm’s way.
Karmelo Anthony, also 17, has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing. They had never met before the track meet, according a witness. Anthony brought a knife to the track meet and sat under another team’s tent. When asked to move, he reportedly refused and became aggressive. Metcalf stepped in to ask him to move again, to which

Sunday is a “clearing the spindle” day, and one of the things on my spindle has been Nate Silver’s prediction last week that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, is currently the most likely person to be the Democrat party’s 2028 presidential candidate. Frankly, I think he’s right. She’s telegenic, has name recognition, and manages to make the same politics that killed tens of millions of people in the 20th century seem user-friendly. She’s also Bernie Sanders’ anointed heir, and he missed the nomination in 2016 and 2020 only because the Democrat party panicked.
Last week, Nate Silver, while acknowledging that it’s early days yet, said he still thinks that it’s possible

Joe Biden has been back in the news, but if he was hoping to rebuild his tarnished legacy, he is achieving the opposite result as his gaffe-filled appearances have merely reminded us of why he was not fit to be president and was forced to step down from his reelection campaign.
At his first major speech since Donald Trump took office, Biden on Tuesday began before the music stopped (which meant no one could hear him), rambled on about “colored” kids, tried to fear-monger that Trump wants to take away your Social Security—which he weirdly called a “psychic calm,”

Can you imagine what would have happened if President Donald Trump 45 had the kind of people in his cabinet in the 2020 Summer of Love that he has now? I often think about this. When I hear of another of another Tesla bomber being busted by the feds, however, it gives us a pretty good idea of what those days might have been like.
Trump didn’t make it to the White House in 2020. The overwhelming majority of those violent rioters who torched multiple U.S. cities, destroyed other peoples’ property, did billions of dollars in damage, and were responsible for the injuries and deaths of innocent people never did

It seems clear to me that the broad scope and speed of the administration’s actions have knocked the sense out of the media, the Democrats and, alas, the judiciary. They cannot seem to process the swift and expansive range of change without making themselves look ridiculous.
The Press
I could describe many examples but the easiest most complete one is that of the gang banger, wife beating, human trafficking suspect Salvadorean citizen who illegally crossed out borders and resided here. You know who I mean -- the thug the press describes as a “Maryland Man.”
So the nation is transfixed -- or at least Democrats and the news media --

Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer notched low favorability among voters in April, according to a poll from The Economist/YouGov released on Wednesday.
The survey found that just 23% of voters held a favorable view of Schumer, while 51% of respondents said they viewed the New York Democrat unfavorably. The poll comes after Schumer faced enormous intraparty backlash over his vote to help advance a GOP spending bill backed by President Donald Trump in March.
Several Democratic lawmakers have notably called for Schumer to step down in recent weeks, including Democratic Maryland Rep. Glenn Ivey and Democratic Michigan State Sen. Mallory McMorrow. Some left-wing youth activist organizations

I guess United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres didn't think his hyping global warming risks brought him enough attention, so now he says, "The era of global boiling has arrived!"
Global boiling?
Give me a break.
Yes, the climate is warming.
We can deal with that.
What annoys me is politicians, activists and media pushing hysterical myths.
Myth 1: The Arctic will soon be ice-free.
It "could already be ice-free by the summer of 2030!" shrieks a DW report. "'Doomsday Glacier' is melting faster than scientists thought," adds the BBC. "Earth's biggest cities are at risk!"
Nonsense.
"It's not happening at nearly the catastrophic pace that they claim," says Heartland Institute fellow Linnea Lueken in my

I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV, so please take it as a non-medical, totally unprofessional diagnosis when I tell you that Taylor Lorenz is a high-functioning sociopath with murder in her heart and CNN's Donie O'Sullivan is one of the many moral cowards in the legacy dinosaur media who enable her.
Lorenz, you might recall, is a semi-anonymous child of wealth and privilege who went on to become a tech and privacy reporter for many of the big media names after having her personal life scrubbed from the internet. Her specialty, even before being virtually fired last year from the Washington Post, is playing

Stephen A. Smith, the fast-talking ESPN “quick take” guru (and occasional beef jerky salesman) is, in a roundabout way, a colleague of Joe Rogan: They’ve appeared together on ESPN’s UFC telecasts.
Rogan, of course, is one of the leading experts in cagefighting. He personally competed in martial arts tournaments throughout his early 20s and was an eyewitness to some of the biggest, most dramatic moments in MMA history. He knows the trainers and the fighters like the back of his (fist); they’re his closest friends.
So when Rogan heard Smith saying something stupid and disrespectful about a UFC fighter, he called him out. Here’s a short,

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has quickly positioned herself as the face of the Democratic Party. If she's not code-switching into being "street" in front of a left-wing audience, she's on cable news or in front of a podium at the Capitol Building trying to make news.
But now, she's got a new audience to contend with: The Federal Election Commission.
According to a new report, the FEC has opened a probe into a donation made to Crockett through the Democratic Party fundraising apparatus ActBlue.
The Federal Election Commission opened an investigation into firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, regarding donations to her 2024 campaign made through ActBlue,
