A Maryland father wrongly deported to El Salvador and held in a notoriously violent prison told a U.S. senator that he was traumatized by the experience.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia reported to Sen. Chris Van Hollen during a meeting in El Salvador that he was moved nine days ago from that country's Terrorism Confinement Center, or CECOT, to another facility with better conditions.
Abrego Garcia said he had been traumatized by his time in CECOT and that he had been taunted by other prisoners.
“He said he felt very sad about being in a prison because he had not committed any crimes,” Van Hollen said.

Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI) claimed on Friday on CNN’s “The Situation Room” that the Trump administration was attacking the freedoms of speech, religion and the press.
Co-host Pamala Brown said, “You talk about due process, that brings me to the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen was able to finally get a face to face meeting with him. The administration admitted that he was wrongly deported to El Salvador. Where do you think this goes from here?”
Dingell said, “You know, I don’t know where it goes. I’m glad that the senator was able to see him yesterday.”

A former US Attorney found a glaring abuse of power in Judge Boasberg’s latest court order in the Alien Enemies Act case.
Former US Attorney Jay Town pointed out that it appears Boasberg just appointed the ACLU as counsel for every single Tren de Aragua member in the United States.
On Wednesday evening lawyers for the ACLU representing Tren de Aragua gang members in the Alien Enemies Act case asked Judge Boasberg in DC to keep his case going by allowing them to file ‘habeas claims’ for gang members deported to El Salvador.

The White House has revamped the COVID-19 guidance page, which now states the likely origin of the virus was a lab leak involving gain-of-function research.
The website features the heading “Lab Leak,” with a subheading of “The True Origins of COVID-19.” The White House lists five key points regarding the coronavirus’s genesis:
“The virus posses a biological characteristic that is not found in nature.“
“Data shows that all COVID-19 cases stem from a single introduction into humans. This runs contrary to previous pandemics where there were multiple spillover events.”

The O’Keefe Media Group released undercover video of Jonathan Ferrer, the HR Director for Summit Public Schools, a charter network operating in California and Washington, admitting to race-based hiring.
Ferrer admitted to violating Title VII, California FEHA (prohibits discrimination) and school policy.
“You get presented with, on equal merits, like a white person or a black person or whatever. Yeah, we’re going with the black person,” Ferrer told the undercover OMG reporter.
“Whenever there’s a qualified candidate and they happen to identify differently or present differently, we’re probably going with that person… That’s what DEI is all about,” Ferrer told the undercover journalist.

Notorious race hustler and far-left activist Reverend Al Sharpton won’t let diversity, equity, and inclusion go down without a fight.
The Associated Press reported Thursday that Sharpton and other members of his National Action Network met with Target Chief Executive Officer Brian Cornell.
Sharton and NAN have urged consumers to avoid retailers like Target after terminating their DEI initiatives, calling for boycotts.
Essentially, Sharpton, who called his meeting with Cornell “very constructive and candid,” aims to blackmail any company no longer trying to hammer customers and employees with DEI drivel.

Floridians gathered to protest Anthony Fauci’s two lectures at the acclaimed Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota
Monday, in a two-part rally across southwest sections of the state. The event demonstrates increasing public skepticism about Covid lockdowns and Fauci, lockdowns’ foremost champion.
Fauci refused to make himself available to media at the Florida event, another reversal for the famous TV and publicity hound. While Fauci retired in 2022, his wife was recently laid off by the Trump administration’s cuts to Fauci’s former agency, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
