The retrial, which began Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for Southern New York, follows Palin’s successful appeal of a 2022 verdict that initially favored the Times. From a judicial viewpoint, this case highlights the dangers of a media establishment that wields its influence with little regard for truth or fairness, particularly when targeting conservative figures.

Regrets, they've had a few. No, not supporters of President Donald Trump—the media covering him. CNN's resident data guru, Harry Enten, tossed a wet blanket on a persistent media theory that voters who cast their ballot for Trump wished they hadn't. The buyer's remorse theory has been squashed. Enten, during a segment on "CNN News Central," presented polling data indicating that a paltry two percent of Republican voters "would vote differently” if they had to do it all over again. That's despite the stock market scare-mongering. Despite the coverage indicating that the president is destroying democracy. The favorable coverage of "fighting oligarchy" rallies as some sort of grassroots campaign against him.

At the risk of angering all the people who will scream from the rooftops that “correlation doesn’t equal causation,” like it’s some kind of Scriptural edict, here’s some data that’s worth considering. From 1980 to 2020, the share of male teachers, in both elementary and middle schools, declined from 40% to less than 20%. Men have mostly stopped teaching young children in school. And during this same period, as men have abandoned elementary schools, there’s coincidentally been another major change in childhood education: Everyone’s being diagnosed with ADHD. More than 21% of 14-year-old boys in this country now supposedly suffer from this condition.

In filmmaker Chris Columbus, we have a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) that is so virulent and severe that Columbus wants to reach back in time, like Stalin having Bolsheviks who had fallen out of favor erased from photos, or the memory hole workers in Orwell’s “1984,” and erase Donald Trump from his cameo appearance in the smash hit movie “Home Alone 2.” Columbus says that the seven seconds of Trump in “Home Alone 2,” which came out in 1992, have become an “albatross” and a “curse.” And of course it’s true. Columbus works in Hollywood, where hatred of Trump is more necessary to get work than

An arrested FBI agent who had publicly alleged Trump ally Rudy Giuliani may have been compromised by Russia and who had denied the FBI had mishandled its investigation of Hunter Biden is now represented by a law firm that defended Joe Biden’s son. The agent, Johnathan Buma, who had handled confidential human sources (CHSs) for the bureau and whose home had been raided by the FBI back in 2023, was arrested at JFK Airport in New York City in March for the alleged illegal disclosure of confidential information. He is being prosecuted in California, where he was based as an FBI agent. Buma, whose previous claims to Congress and the media alleged

President Donald Trump is set to name Gary Shapley, the former IRS criminal investigator who alleged that the Justice Department slow-walked the investigation of Hunter Biden, as acting commissioner of the IRS, three people briefed on the matter told CNN. Shapley provided whistleblower testimony to Congress, as Republicans claimed partisan bias by Justice officials had hindered the investigation of the son of President Joe Biden. In recent weeks, Republicans celebrated Shapley’s return as deputy chief of IRS criminal investigation. Now, Trump is poised to name Shapley to run the entire agency, after the resignation of the former commissioner who opposed a data sharing agreement with the Homeland Security Department.

Joe Biden, the 82-year-old former president sometimes referred to as "Sleepy Joe," rambled and occasionally shouted Monday evening during his first major speech since leaving the White House. Biden delivered the keynote address, billed as a defense of Social Security, at a conference in Chicago hosted by a disability rights organization. He also received the "Beacon of Hope" award. It's unclear if Biden was paid for his time. A former president would typically command a speaking fee in the low- to mid-six-figure range. Biden's talent agency, Creative Arts Agency, did not return a request for comment. After shuffling up to the microphone nearly 30 minutes behind schedule, Biden

Democrats and their media allies are portraying a deported illegal migrant from El Salvador as a martyr of U.S. migration policy, so helping President Donald Trump’s deputies spotlight the Democrats’ sympathy for criminal illegals. The deported migrant, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, “shouldn’t have to spend another second away from his family [in Maryland],” Maryland Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen announced on Tuesday evening, adding: I’m flying to El Salvador tomorrow morning to check on his condition and discuss his return. “Senator Van Hollen seems to be under the very confused impression that this MS-13 terrorist is his constituent,” responded Stephen Miller,

The United Kingdom’s supreme court ruled Wednesday that males who identify as women do not fall qualify as women under anti-discrimination law, a monumental decision that will have major consequences for British law. The high court defined “woman” based on sex rather than gender identity, keeping it within the bounds of scientific reality rather than giving into the demands of left-wing activists. The ruling specifically addressed Britain’s 2010 Equality Act, an anti-discrimination law that covers nine protected characteristics and applies to various sectors of British life.

United States District Judge Indira Talwani, appointed by former President Barack Obama, has past ties to Democrats and ruled against immigration enforcement in the first Trump administration. This week, Talwani blocked President Donald Trump from deporting migrants who were released into the United States interior via former President Joe Biden’s parole pipeline. The decision by Talwani to prevent Trump from ending Biden’s parole pipeline, thus preventing the administration from deporting more than 530,000 migrants with no legal status in the United States, is among many from Democrat-appointed federal judges who have halted the White House from implementing its agenda.

The problem is that at the same time as Texas was celebrating "Pakistan Day", in Pakistan, Christian citizens were being arrested and sentenced to death for "blasphemy," and Muslims were abducting young Christian girls to sexually abuse, forcibly "marry," and coerce into converting to Islam. Pakistan's national and provincial parliaments have given their consent to these atrocities.... Christians, Hindus and other non-Muslim communities in Pakistan have been enduring increased levels of violence and persecution.... Under Pakistan's blasphemy laws, anyone found guilty of insulting Islam, its prophet or other religious figures can be imprisoned and sentenced to death.... The police are often biased and refuse to file reports from Christians and Hindus.
