Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) has fast become one of America’s best members of Congress thanks to his near-impeccable voting record and hilarious put-downs of woke liberal anchors during adversarial interviews. He once again went viral on Friday after a liberal tried to ambush him on the streets of D.C. regarding a classic inside-the-beltway story that no ordinary American cares about. (Snip) A youthful leftist, likely either employed by the Democratic National Committee or Media Matters, decided to ambush Burchett while on the streets of Washington DC Thursday afternoon to ask him a stupid question about the made-up media scandal.

I reported earlier on some of the delusional takes that failed vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz had during a town hall in Texas. Why is he having a town hall in Texas — unless he's already starting a run for 2028? He appears to be trying to become the male "face" of the Democratic Party and nothing could be better...for the Republicans, (Snip) "I've been saying this. I think we need a shadow government so when all these things come up, every single day, we've got an alternate press conference telling the truth about what things are happening," Walz said to cheers.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Friday that the Trump administration had granted permission to West Virginia to ban the use of federal food assistance dollars to buy soft drinks. At an event in Martinsburg, WV, RFK Jr. gave West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey a first-of-its-kind waiver to permit the ban and had a message for the rest of the country: “Apply for a waiver to my agency, and we’re going to give it to you.”
“Taxpayer dollars should be targeted toward nutritious foods,” Gov. Patrick Morrisey said at a lectern emblazoned with a “MAHA Starts Here” sign.

The closer comedy is to reality, the funnier it is.
So when "Dilbert" creator Scott Adams suggested in jest during a recent episode of his podcast that President Donald Trump should create a new department to handle the ridiculous concerns, complaints, and scaremongering of the Democrat Party, the idea was pretty funny.
When Adams suggested a name for the new pretend department, it was downright hilarious.
Here's Adams:
So now that we know that the big problem was the imaginary concern of what could have happened but didn't happen, I've suggested that Trump should create a Department of Imaginary Concerns, and it would be only to handle Democrat complaints.

BANGKOK (AP) — Two violent earthquakes rocked Southeast Asia on Friday, causing buildings in the Thai capital Bangkok to sway and collapse and prompting evacuations across the city, as well as in neighboring Myanmar. Bangkok police say a high-rise building under construction collapsed when a 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit the Thai capital midday on Friday, and possible casualties are not yet known.
A dramatic video circulated on social media showed the multi-story building with a crane on top collapsing into a cloud of dust, while onlookers screamed and ran.

Congress must ensure only U.S. citizens are voting in federal elections, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily, announcing he is introducing a “beefed up” version of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act this year.
Host Mike Slater asked Lee about his SAVE Act, which essentially expands proof-of-citizenship requirements to vote in federal elections.
“We talked with [Rep.] Chip [Roy] a couple times about it, but President Trump signed his executive order yesterday, and he’s calling for proof of citizenship,” Slater said.
“Great. Voter ID. Great. One day voting and paper ballots. Do you agree with all four of these?

Yet another federal judge has blocked a portion of one of President Donald Trump’s executive orders, arguing that his directive to terminate government contracts with all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs is a “coercive threat.”
Judge Matthew F. Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois signed a memorandum opinion and order on Thursday in favor of a Chicago-based nonprofit that promotes “diversity, equity, and inclusion within the skilled trades industry.”
The organization, Chicago Women in Trades (CWIT), receives roughly 40 percent of its annual budget from the federal government, according to the document.

LONDON (AP) – King Charles III was briefly hospitalized for observation on Thursday after experiencing “temporary side effects” related to a scheduled cancer treatment, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
His engagements for Thursday afternoon and Friday were canceled.
“His majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s diary program will also be rescheduled,” the palace said. “His majesty would like to send his apologies to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
The king’s health has been closely watched ever since early last year when he announced that he had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer.

A popular manufacturer of coolers and insulated drinkware is facing criticism and calls for a boycott after it canceled a conservative women’s group’s order for mugs featuring their logo, which it had no problem fulfilling last year.
The nonprofit Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women was disappointed when YETI refused to fulfill the order for the group which describes itself as “an all-women organization that specializes in the conservative outreach, education, and mentorship of young women.”
In a series of posts to X, the CBL explained that their order for the green mugs bearing their name and a Statue of Liberty logo was rejected by the company,

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said Thursday that President Donald Trump’s administration is “likely to win” cases against judges attempting to block their deportation efforts.
Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 in mid-March to deport over 200 members of Tren de Agua, a Venezuelan criminal gang, which has come under legal scrutiny. After an appeals court upheld a federal judge’s ruling to return the deportees, Turley said the Supreme Court will likely object to trial judges’ blockage of the president’s actions.
“I think there’s a legitimate complaint here. It’s like having a car where every passenger is pressing the emergency break,” Turley said.
