As we reported, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) suffered a serious meltdown over Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer voting to advance the House GOP continuing resolution, which ultimately allowed the bill to pass in the Senate. She flipped out, claiming that if the Senate Democrats voted for the bill, it was a "betrayal" of their House colleagues:

Barack Obama once famously accused working class white voters of bitterly clinging to their guns and religion, the same could be said about today’s Democrats and their fixation on the face masks that symbolized their COVID tyranny.
Years after the end of the Biden regime’s authoritarian pandemic response that nearly destroyed America, the party’s top two marquee progressives, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) are urging their supporters to put the face diapers on for their upcoming “Fighting Oligarchy” rally in Denver next week.

One of President Donald Trump’s first actions upon entering the White House was to order federal employees to return to the office.
The government workforce, he has repeatedly contended, could not be productive from home.
“I happen to be a believer that you have to go to work. I don’t think you can work from home,” Trump said on Feb. 11. “Nobody’s going to work from home, they’re going to be going out, they’re going to play tennis, they’re going to play golf. They’re going to do a lot of things. They’re not working.”
Three days later, Trump traveled to his sprawling Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, where he remained for parts

The Virginia high school track runner seen striking another runner in the head with a baton on a viral video, held a rally for supporters after being charged with assault and battery.
Alaila Everett of I.C. Norcom High School was seen striking fellow runner Kaelen Tucker in the head at the Virginia state championships earlier this month. [Tweet, video]
The blow sent Tucker crashing to the ground, clutching the back of her head. Later, she was diagnosed with a concussion and possible skull fracture.
Since the incident, Everett has vehemently proclaimed her innocence, claiming she would never intentionally hurt someone and that the baton strike was accidental.

The FBI's relentless witch hunt against Donald Trump has taken yet another bizarre turn. New revelations show the bureau secretly obtained Trump and Pence's government phones from Biden's White House in May 2022, as part of their “investigation.”
“The Biden White House turned over government cellphones belonging to President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence to the FBI in May 2022 as part of a bureau probe into the aftermath of the 2020 election, tying Trump to that investigation without sufficient predication,” Fox News Digital reports.
According to the report, the FBI did not need a warrant to obtain the government phones, but sources told the outlet that

Arlington National Cemetery has scrubbed from its website information and educational materials about the history of black and female service members.
Some of the content unpublished from the site was on veterans who had received the nation's highest military recognition, the Medal of Honor, according to military news site Task & Purpose.
The content removal is part of a larger effort by President Donald Trump to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices in the military and throughout the federal government.

A New Jersey hospital system is asking parents of newborns to designate their infant’s “sexual orientation” in a questionnaire mandated by state law.
The document from Inspira Health titled “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Questionnaire” features several disturbing sections, the New York Post reported on Saturday.
The form asks parents to identify their baby as “Male; Female; Transgender” or “GenderQueer” and tacks on another option called “Additional gender category/Self-described.”
Parents are further pressed to choose from the options of “Lesbian or gay; Straight or heterosexual; Bisexual; Self-describes” or “Questioning/Unsure” when describing their newborn.

Why did the State Department (taxpayers) pay for Hillary Clinton’s 5-star hotel room and rental vehicles in France in 2024?
Hillary Clinton traveled to Bordeaux, France, on February 23, 2024 and the American taxpayer paid for her lavish retreat.
Clinton reportedly traveled to Bordeaux to promote climate change garbage at the World Impact Summit to benefit the Clinton Foundation.
The twice-failed presidential hopeful stayed at the 5-star Mondrian Hotel (a Clinton favorite).
The total cost for the luxury hotel ($16,759.18) and transportation ($22,570.19) set taxpayers back $39,329.37.

On Saturday, Chief Judge James E. Boasberg, an Obama-appointed leftist, granted a temporary restraining order to stop the Trump administration from deporting thousands of Venezuelan nationals under the Alien Enemies Act—an action well within the executive’s constitutional authority.
This outrageous ruling comes after far-left groups, including the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Democracy Forward, rushed to court in a desperate bid to shield illegal immigrants from deportation.
Their lawsuit, J.G.G. v. Trump, seeks to upend Trump’s lawful enforcement of immigration laws, arguing that invoking the Alien Enemies Act—

When we think about President Donald Trump, we don't always think about him being a grandfather. But he is, and he certainly enjoys his grandkids. Grandpa is frequently seen with them at Mar-a-Lago.
He has 10 grandchildren--five by his son Don Jr. with his former wife Vanessa, with the oldest being Kai, the golfer, who is 17; then there's Donald John III, Tristan Milos, Chloe Sophia, and Spencer Frederick. Then there are three by his daughter, Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner -- Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James. There are two from his son, Eric, and his wife Lara -- Eric Luke and Carolina Dorothy.

I wrote a bit on this on Friday when I reported on Vice President JD Vance's trip to Michigan to speak at Vantage Plastics. Vance explained that part of the reason for them is that we're already facing big tariffs from some of these countries, or have watched them block our products, without having leadership that has been reciprocal in response.

Senate Republicans in Minnesota are set to introduce a bill that classifies "Trump Derangement Syndrome," commonly referred to as TDS, as a mental illness.
For those not privy to the latest medical journals, TDS is a condition where otherwise normal humans turn into frothing, wild-eyed lunatics at the mere mention of a particular golden-haired president.
Symptoms include spontaneous outbursts of "Orange Man Bad!", an uncontrollable urge to blame him for everything (including, but not limited to, their burnt toast), and a knack for seeing Hitler in everything he says.
The bill, already logged into the legislature website, will be formally introduced and read in the chamber on Monday.

Let me start out by stipulating that Jones usually offers some real insights in his analyses, and cuts against the Left when he sees them erring. In this case, though, Jones accurately assesses the anger on the Left toward both Chuck Schumer and Donald Trump, but misses the larger reality around it (via Twitchy): ERIN BURNETT: Van, how angry are Democrats at Leader Schumer?
VAN JONES, CNN SENIOR POLITICAL COMMENTATOR: I've never seen this level of volcanic anger at a Democrat ever.

She stepped up to the mic and began to sing our anthem, acapella, with no accompaniment. Then, about 20 seconds into the song, Natalie faltered. She had forgotten the words. The crowd went dead silent.
Then, the coach of the Trailblazers, NBA Hall of Famer Maurice Cheeks, stepped beside the terrified girl and began to feed her the words.
His hand rested gently on her shoulder as he guided young Natalie through the anthem while encouraging the crowd to join in.

The Brahmin Left character of the party has evolved over many decades but spiked in the 21st century. The chart below illustrates this trend.

Among the 36 questions on the form, sent by the US Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and seen by the BBC, is one asking if they have any links to communism.
Some of the world's biggest humanitarian organisations have received the questionnaire, including the UN Refugee Agency and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The Trump administration has launched a cost-cutting drive across the US government, led by billionaire Elon Musk, and has closed down much of its foreign aid.

Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Utah and Wisconsin are in the process of strengthening election integrity by pushing forward bills or proposed constitutional amendments that would verify a voter’s identity and/or ensure that they are a U.S. citizen before voting. The inmate, Jonathan Richardson, who now goes by “Autumn Cordellioné,” is in prison for the reckless homicide of a baby.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed the lawsuit against the Indiana Department of Corrections seeking a sex change on behalf of Richardson in 2023, three years after the baby-killer decided to begin identifying as a woman.
Currently, there is a law in Indiana banning taxpayer-funded sex change procedures for inmates.

The new guidance to law enforcement in Texas’ largest city comes after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials added 700,000 individuals with deportation orders to the National Crime Information Center database, which is used widely by local law enforcement across the country to track warrants, missing persons, stolen property and other criminal records. There are more than 1.4 million people with active deportation orders across the country.
ICE’s inclusion of deportation orders broadens the ability for local law enforcement to identify undocumented immigrants.

An appeals court on Friday lifted a block on President Donald Trump's executive orders ending federal support for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.
A panel of three judges ruled the orders can be enforced during a pending lawsuit, reversing a nationwide injunction from U.S. District Judge Adam Abelson in Baltimore, the Associated Press reported.
Two of the judges on the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the orders "could raise concerns" about First Amendment rights, but found Abelson's "sweeping block went too far," according to the report.

In a statement released on the day of his abruptly canceled confirmation hearing, Dr. Dave Weldon, President Trump’s initial nominee to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said concerns that Big Pharma was behind the subversion were “probably true.” “They are hands-down, the most powerful lobby organization in Washington DC giving millions of dollars to politicians on both sides of the aisle,” he wrote. [Snip] Weldon believes these two objections killed his shot at being CDC director. He has forever been tarnished as an “anti-vaxxer” despite his insistence that he just wants solid, unbiased research done on the safety of vaccines.

Democratic strategist James Carville said during a Thursday podcast that he was in San Francisco instructing numerous party donors that “stunts” are not an effective way to combat President Donald Trump. On “Lunch with Jamie,” Carville pointed to Democrats’ behavior during Trump’s March 4 congressional address, where Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green interrupted the speech and numerous lawmakers held up signs. Carville suggested the party’s approach lacked dignity and was not suited for the moment.

The only reason that everyone isn't talking about what a terrible week Gavin Newsom is having is that people are too busy talking about what a terrible week Chuck Schumer is having.
Still, almost as many Democrats seem irritated and fed up with Newsom as with Schumer. The source of that irritation is Newsom's new podcast where he has so far invited as guests: Charlie Kirk, Michael Savage and Steve Bannon. Michelle Goldberg has an opinion piece about this today.
I was open to the idea behind Gavin Newsom’s new podcast, in which the California governor has been breaking out of his political bubble to talk at length with right-wing media stars

A major survey on the religious landscape of America was just released by Pew Research Center, and what it reveals about the decline of Christianity should alarm every American, whether or not one is Christian. ...if America loses the Christian faith from which our system of government is derived, we will lose everything that makes America what it is. All of the rights and freedoms we enjoy, the rule of law, the checks and balances on government power, all of that will disappear. [Snip] The practice of the Christian faith is deteriorating as well.
