A LifeSiteNews reporter told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon on Tuesday that Catholics are urging the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops (USCCB) for the mishandling of massive funds from the government for the resettlement of “refugees.” [Snip] “They’ve received hundreds of millions of dollars. Supposedly that all goes to the resettlement of illegal immigrants. But in the midst of all that, supposedly 300,000 children are just missing." [Snip] Catholic NGOs, including the USCCB, received nearly $3 billion in federal funding for immigration-related activities during the Biden years, according to recent reports.

Last week President Trump said farmers in South Africa who are facing confiscation of their lands without compensation under a new land expropriation law could be offered an expedited pathway to U.S. citizenship. [Snip] ...Prioritizing certain foreigners over others is a repudiation of the popular but fatuous notion that any person from any culture or part of the world can become an American simply by going through a neutral administrative process. ...it matters where you come from, what you believe, and how you live. [Snip] Before the 1965 immigration changes, U.S. immigration law reflected the fact that America is a particular people with a particular culture and traditions...

Many times, when we are too close to something, it can seem out of focus or undefined. But then, when distance and time are added, it immediately snaps into the sharpest of clarity and meaning. I maintain that is what is happening now about how President Donald J. Trump is transforming our government, our quality of life, our nation, and even the world. He, and he alone, is ushering in a new American revolution. One which may not be clear to us now, but months, years, and even decades from now,,, [Snip] As well as its massive historical significance.

A group of prominent Catholics, including Janet Smith and Elizabeth Yore, and clergy abuse victims have sent the following letter to Vice President JD Vance: We are impressed and grateful that you called upon the U.S. bishops to be transparent about how they have spent government funds to settle refugees and immigrants. [Snip] There are few things worse than pedophilia. ... DOGE has discovered that an obscene amount of funds has been given to the Catholic Church... [Snip] Did any of the funds end up in the hands of cartels ... What did they do to protect vulnerable children and women?

Led by their stylish first lady, the trendsetting women of America are doing what Volodymyr Zelensky can’t: wearing neckties. Melania Trump showed up to Capitol Hill this week wearing a tailored three-piece camel suit with a slim black tie. Lately, the neckwear has also shown up on runways, red carpets, and even on the queen of Spain. The necktie is “2025’s Most Talked-About Accessory Trend” for women, according to WhoWhatWear, and L’Officiel calls it “2025’s Must-Have Accessory.” It’s typically accompanied by broad-shouldered suits, like the hourglass-shaped tuxedo Melania wore for her official White House portrait (sans tie, though with a white collared shirt).

Billionaire Elon Musk polled users of his social media platform X about how they want to approach ending daylight saving time (DST). Musk asked..., "If daylight savings [sic] time is canceled, do you prefer" an hour earlier or an hour later. [Snip] Moving to DST permanently or remaining on standard time permanently would require an act of Congress, even as 18 states have enacted laws that would provide for permanent DST if Congress allows such a change, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. [Snip] The American Academy of Sleep Medicine issued a recommendation in 2020 that the U.S. transition to a year-round fixed time,

President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Hamas in a Truth Social post Wednesday, calling for the terrorist group to release all hostages immediately. The post came after Trump met with several former Hamas hostages who traveled to Washington, D.C., this week. [Snip] "...Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you. [Snip] Trump added that he is "sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job," and that "not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say.

When Ryan Baldridge Jr was diagnosed with autism at age four, his family were told he may never speak coherently. Then a year later, miraculously, he told his dad: 'I love you.' [Snip] Speech therapy had yielded little progress until November 2023, when Ryan started taking leucovorin, a cheap medication derived from folic acid that works by unblocking pathways in the brain responsible for language. [Snip] Leucovorin is a prescription medication derived from folic acid (also known as vitamin B9), a vital nutrient that helps synthesize DNA and replicates and repairs cells throughout the body.

JERUSALEM, Israel - Democratic lawmakers' reactions to last week's public row between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelenskyy set off a firestorm of criticism, yet comparisons of how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was treated by Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama have critics calling foul. [Snip] Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs President Dan Diker told Fox News Digital, "The real question is why the international media, European powers and social networks were noticeably unsympathetic to Israel and its PM Netanyahu during the Obama and Biden administrations, dressing down and even humiliation of Netanyahu during and in between White House visits,

A most dangerous war took a perilous turn on Friday. In what was planned to be a brief, cordial, greeting, President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy squared off in the Oval Office and left an alliance shaken. For three years, the west has stood against Russia's unprovoked invasion of an innocent country. Ukraine is a vanity war for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, who covets an empire. And for that alone, more than one million people have been killed or wounded on both sides. President Trump has boasted only he can end it quickly. But, in the last two weeks, his chaotic attempt alarmed allies

Washington — Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday that an economic deal with Ukraine is not currently on the table after the contentious Oval Office meeting between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. [Snip] Bessent, who crafted the economic agreement, said Sunday that it's "impossible to have an economic deal without a peace deal," while acknowledging that the economic deal was initially supposed to be a building block toward securing a peace deal in Ukraine. ... Mr. Trump's plan was to use the economic arrangement to "further intertwine the American people and Ukrainian people" and to "show the Russian leadership that there was no daylight" between them.

Vice President JD Vance told the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast that learning his son wanted to be baptized was “more exciting” than Donald Trump’s victory last year. The thing that I was most excited about in November of 2024 is that the week after we won the election, my son chose to be baptized in the Christian faith,” Vance said to applause. [Snip] Vance characterized Trump as being an “incredibly good president” for Catholics. “We have an opportunity to protect the rights of the unborn in the first place, and importantly protecting the religious liberty of all people, but in particular Catholics,” he said.
Comments:
As pointed out by the author, millions of unassimilated migrants have taken residence in Western Europe and causing “chaos, social disintegration, and lawlessness.” Leaders in those countries “have prioritized the needs of foreigners over the needs and wellbeing of their own people” and citizens feeling betrayed. Multiculturalism has been defined as a “false construct deployed as a weapon against the West.” By contrast, America is “indelibly English and religious sensibilities and civic morality are thoroughly Christian.” Indeed, “America is great, our home, needs to be guarded carefully, and unless outsiders are willing to assimilate completely, they can never become Americans.”
