Sunny Hostin told her co-hosts Friday on ABC’s “The View” that President Donald Trump’s second term was an “existential crisis,” so Democratic lawmakers must be willing to “fight and die.”
Discussing the ten Democrats who voted with Republicans to censure Rep. Al Green (D-TX) over his interruption during the president’s address to Congress, Hostin said, “They don’t know how to fight and be part of an opposition party. Representative Green gave them the example. The Democrats are not meeting the moment. It is very clear that Medicaid is on the table. It is very clear that Social Security is on the table. It is very clear that people will die.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to protect women’s sports just days after he claimed it was “unfair” for men to play in women’s sports.
In a podcast featuring Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, Newsom said men in women’s sports are “unfair” but did not answer Kirk’s question as to whether men should be prohibited.
Newsom then suggested that there needs to be a way to balance fairness with the mental health of these young men, otherwise they might “commit suicide.”
“There’s also a humility and a grace. You know that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide,

Columbia, S.C.— I’ve now watched through glass and bars as 11 men were put to death at a South Carolina prison. None of the previous 10 prepared me for watching the firing squad death of Brad Sigmon on Friday night.
I might now be unique among U.S. reporters: I’ve witnessed three different methods — nine lethal injections and an electric chair execution. I can still hear the thunk of the breaker falling 21 years later.
As a journalist you want to ready yourself for an assignment. You research a case. You read about the subject.
In the two weeks since I knew how Sigmon was going to die, I read up

Stock up on popcorn, folks — the American political world is about to get a little more entertaining, in the "point and laugh" sense, as Kamala Harris is thinking of sticking her toes back in the political waters. We see now that she is "setting a timetable" for her next big political decision. Why would she need a timetable to make a decision? Either do it or don't. But this is the Queen of Word Salads we're talking about, so...
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is setting a timetable to make a major decision about her political future.

An illegal immigrant who served as deputy communications director for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) has fled the United States for Colombia, saying he finally has "freedom of movement."
Diego de la Vega, who arrived in the United States from Ecuador at age seven and overstayed his visitor's visa, began working for Ocasio-Cortez in October 2022, according to his LinkedIn. Last December, de la Vega left the United States and relocated to Bogotá with his wife, another illegal immigrant, the Substack "Migrant Insider" reported.
Ocasio-Cortez praised her former aide on Wednesday, saying he was "amazing" and that "we love him."

The frontrunner to take over the reins from Justin Trudeau on Sunday when Canada’s Liberal Party chooses its new leader is a tough-talking former Goldman Sachs executive who has compared President Trump to the Harry Potter villain Voldemort.
Mark Carney, credited with helping Canada dodge the worst of the 2008 financial crisis when he was governor of the Bank of Canada, is viewed by his countryman as the politician most trusted to handle Trump, polls show.
“When you think about what’s at stake in these ridiculous, insulting comments of the president, of what we could be, I view this as the sort of Voldemort of comments

One of President Donald Trump’s golf courses in Scotland was vandalised by a group of “pro-Palestinian” protesters, who defaced the property with graffiti and dug up the greens.
The Palestine Action group claimed responsibility on Saturday for multiple acts of vandalism at the Trump Turnberry golf resort in South Ayrshire, Scotland.
One of the buildings was splattered with red paint, greens were dug up, and messages such as

Democrats running for office better be strategizing for money that might not be able to be deposited into their war chests because this organization might not exist soon. ActBlue is in total turmoil. Top staffers are leaving in droves, with their unions demanding some explanation for the dysfunction. These aren’t 2024 election staffers either; these are longtime operatives who are fleeing for the hills. You could argue that Congress’ probe into the group might be the impetus, but it might be more. The New York Times shockingly covered this damaging story regarding Democratic Party fundraising, adding that no one they contacted would go on the record

It’s good to be king — or a district judge.
Judge Amir Ali has no power to appropriate money or spend it.
Neither does he have any authority over the conduct of US foreign policy. Ali is not letting that stop him in his escalating conflict with the Trump administration over USAID spending, though. The judge won a modified victory in the Supreme Court, which opted not to stop him from trying to force the Trump administration to spend money that it has currently paused.
In a dissent expressing shock and dismay that the court is letting Ali proceed on his current course,

Maxine Waters (D-CA) has once again stirred controversy with her remarks, suggesting that Elon Musk may have interfered in the 2024 U.S. election. The outspoken Congresswoman raised concerns about the billionaire’s influence, claiming his control over major social media platforms and media outlets potentially swayed the election outcome. Waters’ allegations come amid Musk’s efforts to dismantle and reform government agencies after millions of dollars were discovered wasted on progressive programs and empty office buildings.

The Environmental Protection Agency has no ability to track or conduct oversight of more than $650 million in taxpayer funds that a Biden-backed green group wired to dozens of credit union accounts last month, the agency told the Washington Free Beacon.
In mid-February, the New York-based eco group Inclusiv—which received $1.9 billion last year as part of the EPA's $27 billion Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program—transferred $651 million to 108 credit unions across 27 states and Puerto Rico. The group said the credit unions would use the funding to offer financing for green energy projects such as solar installations and electric vehicle chargers within their jurisdictions.

The worst part about being chairman of the College Republican club at my school (shoutout to JMU) was constantly being hit on by babes. I’d tell them, “Stop, please, I’m trying to do important work here. Go harass the football star instead.” But NOOOO. They just wouldn’t leave me alone. I never had a moment’s peace.
Because, obviously, nothing’s sexier than being in a political party. It’s the coolest thing ever!
Okay, I’m lying. Most of the time, talking politics is an anti-aphrodisiac: People either don’t care at all — or they care WAY too much. (Hide the knives.) Neither party had a positive Q rating,
