Why English makes the US stronger

Original Article

“Official” is a very English word. It has its roots in the Old French “oficial” and the Latin “officialis,” and now — thanks to a new Trump executive order — describes the status of the English language. President Trump’s executive action making English our official language repeals a Bill Clinton executive order that required the government, as well as groups receiving federal funds, to provide language assistance to non-English speakers. (Photo) Trump’s move will have little practical effect, since the increase in bilingualism in the United States has been driven by high levels of immigration from Spanish-speaking countries rather than direct government action.

I'm loving this. My daughter worked at a stop-n-rob near the Mexican border some years ago. An illegal got all bent out of shape when she wouldn't speak Mexican to him and nearly got her fired. These dirty little people can take their dirty little language and stuff it.

Regarding the HornDog's order regarding all these different languages..... I seem to recall an old story about a Tower..... Babal, I think it was called. Much more recently, I read a blurb about some school district -I forget what state, but I think it was in the Midwest- that was overrun with so-called 'Migrants' from some country in Africa. In the story, it mentioned that, in that particular country, there were on the order of 500 different languages. .... and they expect American citizen Taxpayers to cater to EVERY ONE OF THEM? I say.... GO PRESIDENT TRUMP! You want to come here?... Do it LEGALLY..... and LEARN the AMERICAN ENGLISH language!

When I was a little kid, my mother used to use butchered Spanish to tell us to go outside of the house -- and out of her presence -- and play. She knew only one word, and pronounced it this way: "Vamoose!" That's a message I'd like to convey to people who are still in the country illegally. Your court date in 2031 has been cancelled... Now, vamoose!

Joint Congressional Address

By many accounts, President Trump gave one of the best speeches he ever has during Tuesday night's joint Congressional address, at times highlighting his accomplishments one month in and pulling no punches in slamming Democrats while at other times tugging at the heartstrings of viewers watching with the sweet, sometimes heartwrenching stories he told about our fellow Americans. Predictably, the Democrats who decided to show up threw tantrums at the beginning, flashing ping pong signs with various political messaging on them, wearing pink to show so-called "solidarity" with women, and

President Donald Trump touted his record-low number of illegal border crossings since reentering office, arguing that the U.S. needed a “new president,” not “new legislation,” to secure the country during his Tuesday joint address to Congress — while Democrat members refused to stand to honor Laken Riley’s grieving family. “If we truly care about protecting American children, no step is more crucial than securing America’s borders. Over the past four years, 21 million people poured into the United States. Many of them were murderers, human traffickers, gang members, and other criminals from the streets of dangerous cities all throughout the world,” Trump said during his first time addressing Congress

Chaos erupted during President Donald Trump’s congressional address on Tuesday night as unhinged Representative Al Green (D-TX) threw a tantrum, disrupting a speech meant to unify the nation and highlight the administration’s bold vision. The disgraceful outburst forced Speaker Mike Johnson to intervene, ordering the Sergeant-at-Arms to kick Green out of the chamber like the disgrace he’s proven himself to be. But that wasn’t the end of Green’s unhinged antics — he’s now doubled down, vowing to push yet another baseless impeachment against Trump.

Holy moly, these people aren’t playing around. From DOGE finding billions of dollars in fraud and waste and decimating bloated (corrupt) agencies like USAID to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announcing plans to shutter over 110 IRS offices, the Trump administration has been cutting waste like no administration we have ever seen before. And they are far from done, it would seem: on Tuesday, the GSA outlined plans to get rid of a staggering 443 “non-core” federal properties and sell them off. The size of such a move would be absolutely yuge: An inventory of 443 “non-core” assets posted by the General Services Administration Tuesday included

Democrats in the chamber for Trump’s speech have behaved like petulant children from the very beginning of his speech. One of them even had to be removed from the chamber. Trump got tired of it and called them out to their faces, saying that nothing he could ever do or say would cause them to stand, applaud, or even smile. He is absolutely right, and this admonishment called these people out for the vicious, petty, horrible people that they are. Partial transcript via Twitter/X:

Washington—President Trump was the boisterous showman in chief before a joint session of Congress Tuesday night — boldly declaring “America is back” and its “greatest era” was underway as he brushed past petulant Democratic protests to lay out both the accomplishments and the agenda of his second term. Trump, 78, described his avalanche of executive orders and new initiatives as a “common sense revolution” during the 99-minute address — the longest in modern history — echoing the theme of his second inaugural address as the opposition largely sat on their hands and seethed before drifting quietly into the DC night. “Six weeks ago, I stood beneath the dome of this Capitol
