President Donald Trump’s deputies have frozen an expanding federal bureaucracy used by elite-run groups to import migrant workers via a private door in the nation’s borders.
The shutdown comes just before the private migration groups were to be aided by a $5 billion migration fund created by Congress in 2024 for additional migration inflows in 2025.
Trump’s deputies froze the bureaucracy by delaying the approval of paperwork needed by migrants to get into the United States. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency announced it is “pausing acceptance of Form I-134A, Online Request to be a Supporter and Declaration of Financial Support until we review all categorical parole processes as required,”

Tyler Miles Leveque, 37, of Albuquerque, has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of interstate communications containing threats against President Donald Trump.
Tyler Leveque was accused of making several threatening posts toward President Trump from January 2 to January 4, 2025, according to a criminal complaint filed by the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
Leveque explicitly stated his intentions in various posts, saying, “you and your rich friends are dead no threat a promise” and ominously tagged the President Trump profile in several threats.
The situation escalated quickly when the U.S. Secret Service,

The fires that swept through the Los Angeles area pose a massive challenge for city officials and residents, not just from the sheer scale of the initial damage, but from the unique challenges presented by the cleanup.
Among the most difficult challenges will be handling the damaged lithium ion batteries found in electric vehicles left on properties during the evacuation.
EV Magazine noted that California leads the United States with respect to electric vehicle adoption, with just around 40% of electric cars in the country on its roads, especially because of green policies pushed by the state government.

President Donald Trump is reportedly considering scaling back the United States' support for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and placing its remnants under the State Department, to be overseen by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
As of this writing, no final decision has been made.
The Trump administration is considering scaling down the U.S. Agency for International Development and putting it under control of the State Department, two sources familiar with the discussions said on Friday, in a significant overhaul of how Washington allocates U.S. foreign aid worldwide.
The National Security Council (NSC) hosted discussions this week on the topic, a person familiar with the matter said.

In the last few years, over half a million Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans were flown directly into the United States, many reportedly sponsored by Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs.) This was done under a Biden administration policy that is a frank abuse of the immigration parole system.
In another reversal of Biden administration policies, the Trump administration is making plans to revoke the legal status of immigrants who entered the United States under this program.
The proposal by the Department of Homeland Security, spelled out in an unpublished notice, would fully terminate a Biden administration program that allowed more than 530,000 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans

President Trump’s first week in office was nothing short of extraordinary in its broad yet targeted attacks on the federal status quo and the deep state. Last Friday, following a whirlwind tour of North Carolina and California disaster sites, Trump said out loud what many emergency management experts have been thinking for some time: The Federal Emergency Management Agency is failing, and its core mission needs to be scrutinized and revised.
The president’s comments were followed by the announcement of a high-level commission charged with analyzing FEMA’s recent performance and suggesting fundamental changes to how the agency functions.
This is all positive news, because the current FEMA model does not work

The most poignant moment of Kash Patel’s hearing on Thursday, as Trump’s FBI Director nominee, was his response to Senator Welch (D-VT). Having waded through the thoroughly boring Democrat tropes referencing January 6th, and the laboriously repeated question absolutely no one cares about—does Patel believe Trump actually lost the 2020 election?—he deftly exploited a subtle opening in Welch’s line of questioning. He responded with a statement pregnant with common sense, “That’s why I think its time, for the first time in this country’s history, that a public defender be the next director of the FBI, because no one knows more about constitutional due process than PDs.”

The confirmation hearing for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. got a bit testy, especially on vaccines, but we’ll see if GOP loyalty stands firm. The one senator that could be a swing vote is Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA). Still, Republican approval for Mr. Kennedy is through the roof, as CNN’s Harry Enten demonstrated this week. He’s not a shoo-in to become the next Health and Human Services secretary, but the odds are still good.
When you have a nominee with a plus-sixty net approval rating with Republicans, that’s a nice buffer, especially since no Republican wants to be the one person who could be seen

On Thursday, while addressing Thursday’s plane crash near Washington, D.C., President Donald Trump blasted both the Obama and Biden administrations for prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Transportation.
"I put safety first. Obama, Biden, and the Democrats put policy first, and they put politics at a level that nobody's ever seen," Trump told reporters in the White House briefing room.
Democrats and the mainstream media were outraged.
“It’s one thing for internet pundits to spew up conspiracy theories,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said. “It’s another for the president of the United States of America

What a difference an election can make. I've spent the last four years waiting for the FBI to kick down my door and ship me off to be used as prison currency.
These days, I wake up smiling, check my phone to see what Trump has done, laugh, and then go to Facebook to lap up the inevitable Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). So-called adults screeching like harpies caught in a bobcat trap. You can almost hear them spit-screaming on their keyboards and phones as the silicon chip inside their heads gets switched to overload. It's like an old-school Jerry Springer donnybrook, but without the trailer park nudity.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker issued a memo on Thursday banning those convicted of offenses related to the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol building from holding jobs in the state government.
This move comes after President Donald Trump pardoned most of those targeted by the Department of Justice for their supposed participation in the riot. [Tweet]
In a memo to Raven DeVaughn, director of the state’s Department of Central Management Services (CMS), Pritzker noted that one of his “most important duties as Governor is protecting public safety in the State of Illinois.”
He referenced Trump’s pardons and said those who were convicted “attacked law enforcement officers

Conservatives from all over the USA, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is here! The Trump Spending Freeze—an act of executive frugality so seismic, so chilling, that it has sent shivers down the spines of bureaucrats from Washington to the farthest corners of the federal empire.
Yes, the gravy train has hit a sudden and screeching halt, and the nation now finds itself at a once-in-a-lifetime crossroads: Do we blindly scream in horror at the halt of unchecked spending, or do we take a deep, patriotic breath and seize this as the most significant opportunity to reset our priorities before the entire federal apparatus eats itself into oblivion?
