Four years ago, Trump’s political career was over. The Democrats had all the momentum, most of the media, and a very real opportunity to close the book on MAGA for good. It was all within their grasp. But just as Barack Obama warned, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.” Instead of permanently closing the MAGA chapter, the Democrats inadvertently reopened it. Instead of capitalizing on their momentum and driving a stake through the heart of Trump’s political future, the missteps, screw-up, and broken promises of the Biden-Harris administration are precisely why, four years later, Trump will be returning to the White House.

A Jordanian national, who violated the terms of his admission to the United States, is accused of making a bomb threat to a South Carolina Highway Patrolman after having been pulled over for missing a license plate.
Ahmad Jamal Khamees Alhendi, a 28-year-old legal immigrant from Jordan who came to the U.S. in September 2018 but who violated the terms of his admission, has been arrested and charged in Greenville County, South Carolina, for breach of peace, falsely making a bomb threat, and operating an unregistered vehicle.

Joe Biden will be remembered as one of the worst presidents in American history, according to the latest Gallup poll.
While Biden and the White House seek to rewrite his legacy as someone who improved the lives of Americans and people worldwide, the American public clearly feels differently.
A majority of Americans—54 percent—believe Joe Biden will be remembered as a “below average” (37 percent) or “poor” (17 percent) president.
In contrast, only 19 percent think he will be seen as “outstanding” (6 percent) or “above average” (13 percent).
Meanwhile, 26 percent say he will be regarded as “average.”
Like a lot of people, I was a smoker back in the day. Smokes weren't taxed then as horrendously as they are now; I remember paying under a buck a pack for unfiltered Camels. I haven't touched a cigarette in decades, but I still enjoy a good cigar now and then, and yes, you pay handsomely for them as well.

How thrilled am I to have President-elect Donald J. Trump going back to the Oval Office? Extremely, and I bet every legitimate political reporter is. Sadly, as we have discovered over four years of Biden-Harris, legitimate political reporters are few and far between. If you are a legitimate political reporter/analyst/commentator, what you want from any politician, but especially your president, is to be given information and insight that you can analyze, comment, and report on without a super-sized serving of stage management, spin, and regurgitated lies.

Karen Pence refused to acknowledge President-elect Donald Trump and Melania Trumpas they arrived at the Washington National Cathedral Thursday for the funeral of President Jimmy Carter. The former second lady was seated next to her husband, former Vice President Mike Pence, and remained seated as the Trumps arrived.
She made no effort to shake hands with Melania Trump, who she worked hand-in-hand with when their husbands were in office during Trump's first term. He led Maui burn to the ground and took his sweet time visiting the island, whose residents endured the worst wildfire seen in almost a century. The president was briefed on the raging wildfires that have so far killed at least two people, destroyed over 1,000 buildings, forced 70,000 from their homes, and charred close to 30,000 acres. Earlier today when I wrote about the wildfires I mentioned that there were reports the hydrants were simply running dry, leaving firefighters no way to battle the flames. Here's Rick Caruso, former candidate for LA mayor, describing the problem. FIle this next clip under "too good to check" but apparently this morning one local LA anchor tried to discount what Caruso was saying only to have a reporter contradict him a minute later. That knee-jerk urge to contradict whatever criticism Democrats are getting is one surefire way the media consistently sets its own credibility on fire.

What was intended to be a somber occasion, however, quickly became charged with tension so thick attendees could feel it in the air.Among the ceremonial obligations to honor the former president, the spectacle of political posturing and strained handshakes was enough to quite the sideshow. Republicans in Congress are already getting to work on trying to implement Donald Trump’s agenda.
Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) this week put forward a joint resolution seeking to limit the number of terms members of Congress can serve.
Under the terms of the amendment, U.S. senators would be restricted to two six-year terms and representatives in the U.S. House to three two-year terms.
According to the resolution, the amendment would take effect within seven years of being approved by Congress and ratified by the states.
We reported earlier on some of the priceless interactions between the various presidents, vice presidents, and their spouses at the state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter. We saw President Trump shake hands with his former VP Mike Pence, despite what can only be considered strained feelings between the two these days. There was the chilly interaction between Jill Biden and Kamala Harris, and the ridiculous reason that Michelle Obama wasn't there. There was Joe Biden, looking out of it, as usual. (Snip) But as the funeral went on there was another priceless moment that I had to share -- Kamala Harris' reaction to Barack Obama talking with Trump.
