President-elect Donald J. Trump will be sentenced on January 10, but there will be no jail time, not that was ever a concern. The laws and statutes got so contorted that even CNN’s Elie Honig, the network's chief legal analyst and former assistant US attorney, couldn’t defend it, aptly calling it a total disaster of a case. In essence, Trump only got convicted because Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his team perverted the rule of law. Law professor Jonathan Turley nailed why Judge Juan Merchan wants to get this wrapped on January 10. It’s to give the liberal media the talking point they’ve salivated over for months:

Corrupt to the core, and on appeal he will be shown as the political hack that he is, he should be removed from the bench and disbarred! MAGA

The only people who believe or care that Trump is a "convicted felon" are the Trump-haters who repeat that phrase ad nauseum. Once this case is appealed and the lower court's decision is reversed, will they still be calling Trump a "convicted felon"? Yes, they will. Just as they still believe Trump colluded with Russia despite a $32 million government investigation that led nowhere.

Judge Merchan can anticipate a few visits from the new FBI to discuss his involvement in election interference. I am looking forward to that sentencing.
The punishment for election interference must be severe enough to make an example of what happens when one stoops to that level of political activity This flimsy case is a good one to make an example of. We will be hearing the name of Jundge Merchan a lot in the next few months, and not to the benefit of the democrats or Judge Merchan,

#1 Maybe they can still DEPORT this sleaze back to Colombia? The very least we can do is introduce him to Mr. Molotov!

Bragg and Merchan have destroyed the system of Justice in New York city.
The real Judges there should bring charges of disbarment to him.
If they do not they are assisting in the destruction

This desperate act only reinforces the total tone deafness of the Democrats. For mainstream America the words convicted felon will come to mean persecuted hero! IMO, the Trump campaign (or its successor) should publish a photograph of the raised fist, bloodied face with the Stars and Stripes fluttering high and put a title under it "Convicted Felon"?

Call him what you want, liberals. Trump is in the WH with a Republican congress and supreme court.
The voters don't want what you are selling.

The Left may corruptly "win" their "talking point" but it may be a LONG time before they win anything significant again. The weight of history is going to be falling down on their heads for the next 4 years and probably much, much longer.
In fact, Biden's crime family, his senility, and "his" exit actions are going to stand as embarrassing and corrupt forever, as well as the party's collusion with all of it and the lies they told. Trump's "conviction" will eventually swept aside like the other lawfare actions and the judge will be disgraced. The Left's hollow victory will be brief and their end will be VERY bitter.
We should remember all the Left's petty vileness as they whine for "fair treatment" from us, as they have already started to. They deserve what they get. THAT will be more than fair. In fact, considering what they have done, going scorched earth on them might be considered fair. Maybe we should turn the consideration of their treatment over to the J6 prisoners. "Equal justice", perhaps not under the law, but certainly equal.

Turley hit the nail on the head. All we will hear now from the liberal media through the inauguration ceremony, and on into Trump’s term In office is that Trump is a convicted felon. Remember if the Democrats through their law-fare scams can do that to Trump, they can do the same to anyone else who goes against the leftist and progressive political agenda. You have to hope that some appeals court judges have the integrity to throw that bogus case out.

Does the judge really want to throw a “conviction” in the face of 77 million who voted for him?

So now the left gets to utter the phrase, “convicted felon” 2,000x a day, instead of 1000x a day? Yawn…

#8, the reason for the confusion is that there was no law broken except by the judge and prosecutors.

May what Merchan and Bragg did to President Trump come back on their heads 10 times. They are evil to the core.
