UnitedHealth Group CEO quietly telling

UnitedHealth Group is expected to smash financial records this year amid a fraught environment at the company following the cold-blooded murder of the insurance division’s CEO, Brian Thompson, according to a report. The healthcare company’s CEO, Andrew Witty, has quietly been informing executives that the company will see record figures by the end of the year, the Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend – even as he works to boost morale at the company that has faced backlash following Thompson’s Dec. 4 slaying in New York City. “The environment we find ourselves in is a complex one, not one that was ever designed by anybody,”

The Labour government apparently does not care about Hamas terrorists promoting Hamas in London. What they do seem to care about is shutting down all criticism of Hamas. One elderly pensioner -- who expressed his disappointment that Palestinian flags were being flown all over Bethnal Green Road in East London -- was arrested for it. Then there are the mosques where hatred and violence are preached. At Birmingham's Green Lane Mosque, for instance, the imams give lectures on how to properly stone a woman – you first bury her up to her waist – and how to kill homosexuals and apostates. Evidently, that did not bother the British government one bit.

Something very interesting and openly obvious is happening amid the backlash that Elon Musk and the Silicon Valley network are facing to their H1B position. Effective December 26, Elon Musk changed the Twitter algorithm to diminish those voices who would openly confront his network of supporters within Silicon Valley and beyond. If large follower Twitter accounts, like those of Musk himself, David Sacks, Vivek Ramaswamy and Musks’ promoted network of influencers begin blocking accounts on the platform, then the voices of those accounts get purposefully diminished by the algorithm.

Trinidad and Tobago declared a state of emergency Monday as murder rates soar in the Caribbean twin-island nation. The isles — located just off the coast of Venezuela — issued the emergency order after a spate of recent slayings and as the government braces for reprisal shootings following the attempted assassination of a gang leader over the weekend, authorities said. Under the emergency declaration, the government’s defense forces will now become de facto cops, and both will allowed to carry out raids without a warrant.

Russia’s foreign minister Monday rejected the peace proposal being floated around by President-elect Donald Trump’s team to end the war in Ukraine. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow was appalled over reports that Trump and his aides were considering pushing a peace deal that would keep the door open for Ukraine to join NATO. “Judging from numerous leaks and Donald Trump’s interview with Time magazine on December 12, their idea is to suspend hostilities along the line of contact and transfer responsibility for confrontation with Russia to the Europeans,” Lavrov said at a news conference.

A machinists strike. Another safety problem involving its troubled top-selling airliner. A plunging stock price. 2024 was already a dispiriting year for Boeing, the American aviation giant. But when one of the company’s jets crash-landed in South Korea on Sunday, killing all but two of the 181 people on board, it brought to a close an especially unfortunate year for Boeing. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and aviation experts were quick to distinguish Sunday’s incident from the company’s earlier safety problems.

CNN’s resident conservative commentator Scott Jennings heartily dismissed rosy predictions from his liberal colleagues about President Biden’s legacy, contending the 82-year-old will end his presidency “in disgrace,” during a lively panel debate. Fellow panelist, Democrat Karen Finney, got Jennings going on Sunday by positing that Biden’s record and accomplishments will “stand the test of time,” despite legitimate issues with his mental acuity. “It was very disturbing to learn late in the year about just how bad, how poor his health has become. And like many, I did not realize that it had gotten to that point,” Finney insisted on a CNN “State of the Union” panel Sunday.

In the weeks before the 2016 Trump Electoral College victory, Donald Trump was polling between 35% and 40%. He would average only about 41% approval over his tumultuous four-year tenure. No one knows what lies ahead over the next four years. But for now, Trump already polls well over 50% approval. His inauguration in a few weeks will likely not resemble Trump’s 2016 ceremony. In the 2016-7 transition, Democratic-affiliated interests ran commercials urging electors to become “faithless,” and thus illegally to reject their states’ popular votes and instead elect the loser, Hillary Clinton. Massive demonstrations met Trump on Inauguration Day. In less than four months after assuming the presidency,

oe Biden took a cheap shot at President-elect Trump in his remarks Sunday evening in St. Croix on the death of former President Jimmy Carter. (Photo) When asked by a reporter what Trump could take from Carter, Biden flashed a Carter-esque toothy smile while saying “decency” three times and then went on a brief diatribe comparing Carter to Trump. The reporter squeezed the question in as White House press wranglers were trying to shut down Biden and the assembled reporters and end the press availability. The reporter’s question was partially lost in cross talk, “Is there (anything?) President Trump could take from President Carter?” Biden answered:

Democrats are boasting that Jimmy Carter's death could overshadow Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration due to a long upheld tradition. Standard protocol states that all flags should be flown at half mast at federal buildings for 30 days following the death of a former president. Carter, the 39th U.S. President, died at 100 years old on Sunday afternoon, almost two years after entering hospice care and just 22 days before Trump's inauguration on January 20. Outspoken MAGA critics and Democrat voters have quipped that the half mast flags during such a pivotal moment are Carter's parting gift to Trump after their longstanding feud.

Crawford, the network’s chief legal correspondent, insisted stronger reporting on the topic could have changed the entire election as she responded to a question from “Face the Nation” moderator Major Garrett about the most underreported story in 2024. “Undercovered and underreported, that would be, to me, Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline that became undeniable in the televised debate,” she said on the Sunday morning show.

Climate alarmists like President Joe Biden assure us that all we need do to avert the destruction of hurricanes—or at least to lessen it—is to sacrifice offerings to the climate gods by giving up our gas-guzzling internal combustion engines and paying indulgences to Al Gore or something. You see, humans as a species have sinned, and we must sacrifice our prosperity to prevent the end of the world. Unfortunately for the alarmists, the world stubbornly refuses to end, and even the supposed evidence they trot out as proof of impending doom doesn’t exactly mean what they think it means. Take hurricanes, for example

Those of us who have been fortunate to have served as President understand this is a very exclusive club, and only we can relate to the enormous responsibility of leading the Greatest Nation in History,” Trump wrote.
