The Democratic-led Senate on Friday confirmed President Joe Biden’s 235th judicial nominee, surpassing the number of judges Republicans confirmed during the first Trump administration. “The majority has now confirmed more judges under President Biden than any majority has confirmed in decades. This is historic,” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said after the upper chamber confirmed Serena Raquel Murillo to serve as district judge for the Central District of California.
“We have confirmed more judges than under the Trump administration, more judges than any administration in this century, more judges than

Well over a year out from her next election, Gov. Kathy Hochul is looking desperate — and hapless.
The latest sign: She’s sent in another 250 National Guard to “help keep the subway safe” for Christmas shopping season and maybe beyond.
Yet the guardsmen legally can’t do most law enforcement, just check bags.
They’re not getting that raving madman off the platform, sorry.
But the 1,000 total Guard help provide a “sense of security,” the gov insists. Merry Christmas!
At least that’s not as insulting as her claim that she’s saving us money by imposing congestion-pricing tolls of “only” $9 instead of the $15 originally planned.

The man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is reportedly being showered with attention from admirers.
During his time at Huntingdon State Correctional Institute in Pennsylvania, 26-year-old Luigi Mangione apparently got over 140 messages from people that included his so-called “groupies,” the New York Post reported on Saturday.
The Post said that according to corrections officials, the messages included emails, physical letters, and 163 deposits into an account so he could buy commissary items: (X) Mangione is accused of fatally shooting Thompson on December 4 outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, per Breitbart News.
The Post described some of the reported messages sent to the alleged killer:

As drone sightings over New Jersey continue to raise questions, a new tool could bring answers about the source of these flying vehicles — if the government could get it off the ground.
Earlier this year, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) began requiring all unmanned aircraft systems to be equipped with Remote ID technology, which makes every equipped drone uniquely identifiable to authorities, like a license plate on a car.
The FAA announced that it would provide a database that could be accessed by local law enforcement, but nearly one year later, local authorities still can't get into it themselves.

President-elect Donald Trump took an unprecedented step by filing an amicus brief in a legal battle involving outgoing President Joe Biden’s defiant decision to sell off border wall materials initially designated to secure the U.S.-Mexico border wall. Trump, who made the construction of the border wall a cornerstone of his first presidency, sharply criticized the Biden Administration's "fire sale" of such materials, suggesting the action is "possibly criminal." Late Thursday, Trump took legal matters to a Texas court to urge a federal judge to immediately halt the ongoing sale of border-barrier materials until a thorough investigation of the Biden Administration’s conduct regarding the border wall is complete.

Cenk Uygur, the main host of the far left political talk show the ‘Young Turks’ attended an event hosted by the conservative group Turning Point USA in Arizona this week and was welcomed warmly by the crowd.
In his opening remarks, Uygur praised the attendees, saying that people on the right are more welcoming than Democrats. He then suggested that this is one of the reasons why Trump and MAGA won the popular vote in November.
He also said that people need to try to work together more, especially when they find they’re in agreement on a particular issue.
Mediaite provides a partial transcript of Uygur’s remarks:

Navy pilots flying over the red sea were shot down in an apparent 'friendly fire' incident, the US military said.
The US military was conducting airstrikes targeting Yemen's Houthi rebels and mistakenly hit two US Navy pilots.
Both were recovered alive, with one suffering minor injuries. 'The guided missile cruiser USS Gettysburg, which is part of the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group mistakenly fired on and hit the F/A-18, which was flying off the USS Harry S. Truman,' Central Command said in a statement.
Central Command did not elaborate on their mission.

Less than a year ago, people were still speculating about who Donald Trump would pick to be his running mate. When he finally announced that it was JD Vance, people on the right were excited or at least enthusiastic to learn more about the Ohio senator.
Over the summer, the Kamala Harris campaign tried to brand Vance as ‘weird’ but it didn’t stick, especially as people got to know Kamala’s running mate Tim Walz, who genuinely seemed weird.
Once the VP debate happened, any questions people still had about JD Vance were answered. He came across as a smart, decent man who was worthy of the public’s trust.

Neil Cavuto was forced to leave Fox News because his show was a 'wormhole to another time' before Donald Trump took over the Republican Party.
The anchor, 66, ended his 28-year tenure at the network on Thursday afternoon.
It was rumored Cavuto declined to sign a new contract, which was described as 'a very generous opportunity' by the star on his last show. It is believed, however, that Cavuto may have been the latest cable news anchor to be asked to take less money, after similar reports of CNN and MSNBC talent getting their wages cut have emerged in recent weeks.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox News @ Night,” former Kamala Harris Campaign Surrogate Lindy Li said she believes that President Joe Biden is burning things down at the urging of First Lady Jill Biden and cited him coming out against stock trading by members of Congress.
Host Kevin Corke asked, “This is from the Daily Mail, this is a piece from Emily [Goodin], very interesting, the headline reads, in part, ‘How Vengeful Jill Biden Is Urging ‘Depressed’ Joe to ‘Burn the Whole Thing Down’ in Their Final Days’, it reads in part, ‘Jill views Democrats on Capitol Hill, the [wider] party, the Obamas, staff inside and outside

A so-called TikTok ‘prankster’ known for wreaking havoc on the public for social media views, was arrested for spraying poison all over food in a Mesa, Arizona, Walmart.
The suspect, 27-year-old Charles Smith, was stupid enough to video his face while committing the crime. He then uploaded the video of himself committing the felony to social media.
According to court documents, Smith went back inside Walmart 10 minutes after he committed the crime and “attempted to collect the items he sprayed.”
Smith wheeled some of the poisoned items to the back of Walmart.

Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is not only married to one of the best stock-pickers in the world — turns out she and husband Paul are super savvy real-estate investors as well.
Though sometimes they need a soupçon of help.
The Pelosis own part of the Auberge de Soleil, a tony hotel in California’s swanky Napa Valley, whose rooms command prices as high as $2,000 a night and attract an A-list crowd.
