Disney has reportedly decided to shelve an episode of the children’s cartoon series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, apparently over its plot concerning a transgender high school athlete. The Mouse House has decided not to air the episode entitled “Gatekeeper,” which features story praising a boy who identifies as a girl and who battles against opposition to his playing on a high school volleyball team. Several creators who said they worked on the episode which was originally set to air early next year took to the left-wing social media outlet Bluesky to decry the shelving of the episode. A bipartisan group of Senators voted overwhelmingly Wednesday afternoon against limiting arms sales to Israel as it fights a multi-front war against Iran’s terror proxy groups.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), an avowed socialist, brought a vote on three joint resolutions of disapproval to block the U.S. from sending some of the $20 billion of weapons to Israel the Biden administration approved in August.
On a bipartisan basis, the Senate rejected Sanders’s push to halt offensive weapons sales to Israel as many Republicans and some Democrats reaffirmed their pro-Israel stances.

House Speaker Mike Johnson announced Wednesday his intention to ban biological males who identify as transgender women from using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms on Capitol Hill.
“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms — are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,” Johnson said in a statement.
“It is important to note that each Member office has its own private restroom, and unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol. Women deserve women’s only spaces.”

Before marrying in 2021, former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., was known to be a braggadocious libertine. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Wednesday that the Biden administration will allow Ukraine to use American-supplied antipersonnel land mines to help fight off Russian forces.
Speaking to reporters during a trip to Laos, he said the shift in policy follows changing tactics by the Russians.
Austin said Russian ground troops are leading the movement on the battlefield, rather than forces more protected in armored carriers, so Ukraine has “a need for things that can help slow down that effort on the part of the Russians.”
