That's quite an A team. Good for Trump. Going forward, he just needs to make double sure none of them are moles or snakes in the grass. Great to see Barron's name listed and how he encouraged guys at the college his age to be all in for his father.

How is Vivek the Pete Buttigieg of President Trump's new administration? That seems insulting to me. Vivek is accomplished while Mary Pete isn't. MP acquired his position in the biden "administration" solely due to certain of his proclivities. That's the only thing he brought to the table; he checked a box ~ nothing more ~ and then he disappeared from view. #2: I'm waiting for the FBI pick, too. What is surprising is that of all the names we've heard for various positions Mike Flynn's was absent (unless I missed it). Perhaps after the treatment he received before, he's not interested in being part of the Trump Team now but I would really like to see him head the FBI because....well....you know what they say about karma. For those in the FBI karma really would be a you know what with a capital "B". How fun! He'd be perfect to dismantle it though.

If you want to get rid of the status quo, you don't keep appointing the same types of people into office. During WWII, when Admiral Halsey was laid up in the hospital, he skipped over dozens of admirals and recommended a battleship commander (Spruance) to lead the task force that won the Battle of Midway. Many thought it was a major mistake.

There have been thousands of words written about the 2024 presidential election, but I think Jeffrey Tucker’s article at Brownstone best summarized the sea change in votes cast , and Victor Davis Hanson best describes the cabinet nominees so far of greatest significance, people selected in part to avenge their treatment by the prior lawless administration. Tucker argues that what we are seeing is an actual, not purported, transfer of power. A transfer from a permanent government to a new one actually responsive to actual voters against pollster predictions:

President-elect Donald Trump has not even taken office yet, but Republicans have reportedly already started the effort to purge wokeness from the federal government. Several conservative groups are currently in a campaign to identify federal employees who are partisan or possibly resistant to enacting Trump’s agenda, according to a CNN report. These groups include the Heritage Foundation Oversight Project and the American Accountability Foundation.

In reaction to the pending arrival of President Trump, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is now saying the conflict with Russia is possible to end with diplomacy: (Via CBS) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv would like to end the war with Russia next year through “diplomatic means” as both countries prepare for President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House. In an interview with the Ukrainian media outlet Suspilne, Zelenskyy said he is certain that the war will end “sooner” than it otherwise would have once Mr. Trump becomes president. (read more)

During his campaign, Donald Trump promised moms like Jackie Medina he would deport millions of illegal immigrants, including criminals like the man who killed her 16-year-old daughter Lizbeth last year. But can he even do it? There are an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., and Trump has vowed to deport “all” of them. The vast majority aren’t dangerous, and many have lived and worked in the U.S. for years. Does the president-elect really plan to deport such a massive number, even those who don’t pose an immediate threat to society? While border security needs to be tightened,

The Washington Post’s fact checks have by and large been tools of partisan politics. We saw this most notoriously in Oct. 2020, when the Post undercut reports that Hunter Biden arranged what looked to all the world like an influence-peddling meeting between one of his foreign business clients and The Big Guy, that is, his father, who was vice president at the time. The fact that the Post’s “fact checks” are largely designed to intimidate, confuse, and undermine foes of the left’s agenda makes it all the more striking that on Wednesday, the Post’s fact-checking spotlight was shining on none other than Nancy Pelosi,

The Coming Era of MAGA Dominance 6 replies

Only Donald Trump could have pulled off the kind of victory we witnessed just over one week ago. The victory achieved by, and for, the man himself is already the greatest political comeback in American history. But it is entirely possible that his win now could set up an equally unprecedented comeback, but not for any one particular individual. If the Republican Party plays its cards right this time, it could build off of the massive coalition that President Trump has built for himself and ride this wave of momentum to a new era of dominance in American politics.

CNN anchor Chris Wallace was reportedly told his two poorly rated shows would be canceled and his massive salary slashed before the veteran journalist announced he would leave the network. Wallace, who was being paid a reported $7 million a year, was informed that he was welcome to stay on as an analyst but at a much lower salary as part of CEO Mark Thompson’s vast cost-cutting initiatives, according to Puck News. Instead, Wallace announced earlier this week that he was exiting CNN, and portrayed the move in a Daily Beast interview as a pivot to podcasting and streaming — because “that’s where the action seems to be,” he said.

In the wake of President Trump’s smashing victory over Kamala Harris, we’ve seen countless leftist meltdowns, many of which were comedic gold; but they’ve also erupted in spiteful hostility, and even murder. First up, white “liberal writer” Andrea Tate of Huffington Post, who penned an essay for the outlet in which she detailed her growing resentment for her husband… all because he voted for Trump, then had the audacity to make a social media post that read, “God Bless America. God bless #45, 47.” The horror.

In the final tense days before the 2024 presidential election, a quiet confidence began to take hold. Shockingly strong polls, massive early voting crowds, a visibly panicked Democrat Party — this time around something just felt different. It was as if the ground was moving underneath the country; not splitting apart, but bringing it together. So big was this shift that when Donald Trump was declared the winner, it felt less like a victory for him, the Republican Party, or even the MAGA movement than it did the ultimate triumph of American unity over the craven politics of division.

President-elect Donald Trump is entering the White House with a Republican trifecta, but he may hit roadblocks to implement his America First agenda — and not because of Democrats. Instead, Republican swamp creatures like Texas Sen. John Cornyn are signaling their intent to sabotage Trump’s cabinet nominees because they threaten the deep state. Trump tapped former Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz to serve as attorney general. Gaetz, prior to March of 2021, “had been an effective and prominent voice in Congress pushing back against the Washington establishment’s worse impulses and abuses of power,” as my colleague John Daniel Davidson wrote.

OAKLAND, Calif. - A recent poll showed that Vice President Kamala Harris could have a strong advantage if she chooses to run for governor of California in 2026 when Gov. Gavin Newsom’s term ends. The survey, carried out by the University of California, Berkeley's Institute of Governmental Studies and co-sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, indicated that nearly half of the 4,838 participants might support Harris in a potential gubernatorial bid. The Times reported that Harris's support would mostly come from Democratic voters, with 72% indicating they would be very or somewhat likely to back her for governor. In contrast

Former Vice President Mike Pence has urged Senate Republicans to reject President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Mike Pence, who famously turned his back on Trump after serving under him during his first term, has now released a scathing statement on Kennedy’s nomination. Pence, in an ironic twist, called it “deeply concerning” and labeled it a “betrayal” of the pro-life values their administration once stood for. On Thursday, President Trump announced his decision to appoint Kennedy to the pivotal role,

Democrats in deep blue states are already drawing up plans to thwart President-elect Donald Trump's attempts to fix illegal immigration in America. The plan? Simply refusing to enforce the law, according to a New York Times report published on Saturday. The Times notes that the resistance party is seeking to pivot away from silly protests involving "pink knit caps and homemade signs" and instead will "tune out" the new President when he enters the Oval Office. "As they face this tough political landscape, Democratic officials, activists and ambitious politicians are seeking to build their second wave of opposition to Mr. Trump from the places that they still control: deep-blue states," they write.

Democrats on the Bucks County Board of Commissioners voted to illegally count misdated and undated ballots in an attempt to swing Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate election in favor of ousted Democrat incumbent Sen. Bob Casey, D-Penn. The vote comes after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court already ruled those ballots were not allowed to be counted, per state law. Diane Ellis-Marseglia, one of the Democrats, admitted she knew it was against the law, but voted to count the ballots anyway. “I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country. The move is a significant change to U.S. policy in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. The easing of restrictions would allow Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System, or ATACMS, to hit targets inside Russia. The move also comes as some 10,000 North Korean troops were sent to Kursk near Ukraine's northern border to help Russian forces retake territory. The White House National Security Council declined to
