Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) has been diagnosed with cancer, he announced on Nov. 7.
“A few days ago, I learned I joined the ranks of millions of Americans. I have cancer of the esophagus,” Connolly, 74, said in a statement on social media.
Connolly said he was surprised to hear the diagnosis because he has been showing no symptoms apart from intermittent abdominal pain.

Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris admitted on Wednesday that she knew every single attack she launched against President-Elect Donald Trump and his presidency was a bald-faced lie.
More than twelve hours after Trump delivered a stunning blow to the regime and swept both the popular vote and Electoral College, Harris took the stage at Howard University to begrudgingly concede. She could have conceded in the wee hours of the morning, but that would have required showing up when it mattered — something she clearly doesn’t do (see her disastrous handling of Afghanistan).

In Florida, Judge Ailleen Cannon threw out the “classified documents case” against President Trump, citing in her opinion that Special Counsel Jack Smith had no constitutional authority to target and charge President Trump. Did you notice the missing DOJ appeal effort?
In the J6 case President Trump was accused of conspiring to illegally overturn the 2020 election. Charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy against rights. However, the Supreme Court decision on presidential immunity, again threw a wrench into the Lawfare strategy.

Voters in Arizona’s largest county are on track to elect a staunch conservative to replace the locality’s leftist-friendly elections chief.
On Wednesday, Democrat Tim Stringham announced that he had called Republican Justin Heap to effectively concede defeat in the race to become Maricopa County’s next recorder. Heap, a member of the Arizona Freedom Caucus, confirmed his opponent called to concede in a tweet published the same day.

WASHINGTON—Special counsel Jack Smith’s office said the Department of Justice (DOJ) has a longstanding policy not to prosecute a sitting president, in response to a query about whether it will drop its criminal cases against President-elect Donald Trump, who won the 2024 election.
Peter Carr, a spokesman for the special counsel’s office, declined to comment on whether the office will drop its cases but directed The Epoch Times to a 2000 memo from the DOJ Office of Legal Counsel. It states that “indictment or criminal prosecution of a sitting President would unconstitutionally undermine the capacity of the executive branch to perform its constitutionally assigned functions.”

Two controversial ballot initiatives concerning illegal immigration and abortion easily passed at the ballot box on Nov. 5 with broad support from voters.
Proposition 314, a statutory amendment referred by the Arizona Legislature, prohibits illegal immigrants from entering the state directly from a foreign country at any location other than a lawful port of entry.
The law effectively empowers Arizona law enforcement officers to arrest illegal immigrants. It also bars illegal immigrants from knowingly submitting false documents to apply for public benefits or a job and makes it a class 2 felony for an adult to knowingly sell fentanyl that later causes the death of another person.

New York Attorney General Letitia James vowed to “fight back again” as she and Gov. Kathy Hochul treated President-elect Donald Trump as the enemy in a divisive post-election press conference Wednesday.
A defiant Hochul announced she formed an “Empire State Freedom Initiative” to prepare to fight “policy and regulatory threats” from the incoming Trump administration.
The Democratic governor said she’s prepared to work with Trump, but spent much of her time talking about readying for political and legal war.

Former President Donald Trump has definitively won the 2024 presidential election. Even the lachrymose corporate media have begrudgingly conceded that fact.
But it seems Vice President Kamala Harris has entered the witness relocation program.
The Democrats’ replacement candidate was missing in action on election night, when she skipped her scheduled post-election appearance at her alma mater Howard University.
Even as the writing was on the wall, as Election Day turned to the day after, Harris’ campaign chief Jen Brigid O’Malley-Dillon (the ultimate elitist-white-female-sounding name), told the dejected stragglers —

The recent controversy regarding Donald Trump’s criticism of Liz Cheney as a warhawk who has never faced the dangers of the wars she embraces has synthesized an issue that may be opaque to non-veterans: the extreme resentment many veterans of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) feel toward Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party.
Harris and the Democrats have created a perfect storm of veteran disdain in that they have succeeded in uniting three once-inapposite groups behind Harris: the neocons who started the GWOT, the media and Democrats who undermined the veterans’ GWOT missions, and the generals who failed again and again and again

The Georgia Supreme Court ruled on Monday that Democrat-run Cobb County cannot accept thousands of absentee ballots that arrive after the Election Day deadline.
Cobb County announced on Thursday that as of Oct. 30, “more than 3,000 absentee ballots requested by last Friday’s deadline had not been mailed.”
Cobb County Board of Elections Chairwoman Tori Silas said that the county was “taking every possible step to get these ballots to the voters who requested them” but that the county was “unprepared for the surge in requests and lacked the necessary equipment to process the ballots quickly.”

Swing state Wisconsin’s most notorious elections clerk repeatedly failed to follow election integrity laws. Now, on the eve of Election Day, the state’s elections regulator is ordering Green Bay Clerk Celestine Jeffreys to comply.
The Wisconsin Elections Commission sent a letter to Jeffreys late last week after finally dealing with a complaint filed by the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) on behalf of Green Bay residents.
According to the complaint, the clerk did not comply with procedures for auditing voters who registered to vote at their polling places on Election Day for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 elections.
