NEW: Missouri Sues DOJ Over Poll Monitors

Original Article

It's a contest between federal might and a state's right as we head into the waning hours of the 2024 election. The Department of Justice announced that it would be sending lawyers out to 86 polling locations in 27 states to monitor them on Tuesday. But some of those states are pushing back, including Missouri, which filed suit against the DOJ on Monday challenging the feds' right to have monitors in place. Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft on Monday filed a lawsuit against the Justice Department in an attempt to prevent federal officials from monitoring polling locations in St. Louis on Election Day.

Not sure how to respond to this. In one way I believe any monitoring is a good thing, and then i think of how corrupt the Justice department under Garland has been , and the corruptness of the legal system that has harassed Donald trump and I wonder what this is all about.

If the DOJ could be trusted to insure a fair election I would be all for it. As things stand now, I'd be more inclined to believe they are there to insure the cheat.

Normally, poll monitors would be a good thing but nobody needs the Deep State anywhere near the voting process. Get out!

DOJ monitors are there to ensure woke policies are enforced. Elections are run by the states, and no federal officials should be allowed in any of the states. Texas does not allow it, and many thanks for it.

As of this morning artile has been updated: Late Monday night, U.S. District Court Judge Sarah Pitlyk issued her ruling on Missouri's request for a temporary restraining order as to DOJ attorneys dispatched to monitor a polling location in the City of St. Louis. Pitlyk denied Missouri's request for a TRO on the basis that the state did not adequately demonstrate that it would be irreparably harmed by allowing "two individuals at one polling place to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act." It's important to note that the proposed monitoring as to the City of St. Louis derived from a settlement agreement reached between the DOJ and the City in 2021 after ADA concerns were raised. It involved one polling place and had been implemented/followed in two prior elections, as well.

It's hard to believe that we're just a few hours away from it officially being Election Day, but yes, we've finally made it to that point. In North Carolina, there has been a distinct buzz in the air on the Republican/conservative side since early voting started on October 17th, with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump's push for Republicans to take advantage of early voting spurring early vote numbers for the party not seen in previous election cycles. The difference was pronounced enough that it caused a full-blown panic for the Harris-Walz campaign, which was aware from past elections that early voting has typically been the strong suit for Democrats, not Republicans.

Megyn Kelly appeared at Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Monday, revealing to the crowd that she’s backing the Republican ex-president because of the Democrats’ handling of illegal immigration and transgender policies. Kelly listed instances of illegal migrants accused of killing young Americans like Georgia college student Laken Riley, 22, and 12-year-old Texan Jocelyn Nungaray as she blamed Vice President Kamala Harris for opening up the southern border “by choice.”

A Japanese nuclear reactor that restarted last week for the first time in more than 13 years after it had survived a massive 2011 earthquake and tsunami that badly damaged the nearby Fukushima nuclear plant was shut down again Monday due to an equipment problem, its operator said. The No. 2 reactor at the Onagawa nuclear power plant on Japan’s northern coast was put back online on Oct. 29 and had been expected to start generating power in early November. But it had to be shut down again five days after its restart due to a glitch that occurred Sunday in a device related to neutron data inside the reactor,

My, how the "girlie man" has fallen. Arnold Schwarzenegger took to X on Wednesday to make a presidential endorsement and found out in short order that few people cared what he thought. The Hollywood star turned California governor and then deposed, "The New Celebrity Apprentice" host has been officially terminated from whatever remained of the good graces of Donald Trump supporters. The former California governor once gave an uplifting and well-crafted speech about how "I Am a Republican!" at the 2004 Republican National Convention, in which he scolded "girlie men" too timid to stand up for what's right. Any discussion among conservatives about the possibility of Kamala Harris winning the election quickly turns to voter fraud or polling problems like the under-sampling of Trump supporters. Those are both valid discussions but not the essence of the problem here. If a person goes to a surgeon needing both a cancerous tumor removed and a knee replacement, the patient doesn't opt for the knee replacement in the hope that the cancer will go away. Yes, things will be a lot better, but that tumor keeps on growing. At this point in American history, voter fraud is the bad knee and public education indoctrination is the cancer.

We have no doubt that, in the years to come, the media will describe the Biden-Harris administration as “scandal-free.” But that’s only because for the past four years they’ve vigorously ignored any and all scandals. Case in point is the $15 billion giveaway that Biden-Harris snuck through this summer without a single hearing, vote, or advance notice, in an attempt to buy seniors’ votes. Followed up by a campaign email to these same seniors on behalf of Kamala Harris, also paid for by taxpayers. Is any of this legal? Who cares, if it helps Harris win in November? At least, that’s how the mainstream press is treating this scandal. Here’s the background.

America’s presidential election next week comes just after Iran marks the 45th anniversary of the 1979 U.S. Embassy hostage crisis — and for many, tensions between Tehran and Washington feel just as high as they did then. Iran remains locked in the Mideast wars roiling the region, with its allies — militant groups and fighters of its self-described “Axis of Resistance” — battered as Israel presses its war in the Gaza Strip targeting Hamas and its invasion of Lebanon amid devastating attacks against Hezbollah.

Some 8,000 North Korean soldiers are now in Russia near Ukraine’s border and are preparing to help the Kremlin fight against Ukrainian troops in the coming days, the Biden administration said Thursday. The new figure is a dramatic increase from a day earlier, when Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin would only say “some” of the troops had moved toward Ukraine’s border in the Kursk region, where Moscow’s forces have struggled to push back a Ukrainian incursion. That also would mean most of the North Korean troops that the U.S. and its allies say have been sent to Russia are now on the Russia-Ukraine border.

It is not my intention to provide black pills. However, we discuss events through the prism of what exists, what we can see and track, rather than what we pretend might be in place. Thus, today CTH fires a signal flare drawing attention away from precinct voting polling places, and toward tabulation centers. There is some alarming evidence beginning to surface pointing toward a shift in the USA election process, specifically the fundamentally changed process that now exists behind absentee balloting.

In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, as they were waiting for the election workers in the so-called “blue wall” to tell them what they already knew, CNN’s Van Jones blamed sexism and racism for why Vice President Kamala Harris lost to President-elect Trump. “I am thinking about the people who are not a part of anybody's elite, who are hurting tonight,” he bloviated. Speaking as though he was delivering a sermon, Jones opined about how this election supposedly told black women that America rejected them, how they hoped Harris would essentially liberate them, and lamented how their hard work didn’t pay off:

Today is a day of despair, and it would be futile to tell those who fear and grieve for what is to come in America that they will be OK. It would also be dishonest: many of us, in truth, will not be OK. Donald Trump has decisively won the American election. He and his Republican allies have promised mass deportations that will ruin lives and sunder families; they have threatened to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and appoint the anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist Robert F Kennedy Jr to a position of authority on public health. They have pledged vast cuts to social security and Medicare, .

Vice President Kamala Harris can still become the first female President of the United States of America — but only if President Joe Biden resigns. Harris lost decisively to former President Donald Trump — now president-elect Trump — on Tuesday, dashing hopes that a woman would finally break through the “glass ceiling” and reach the Oval Office. But she still can — if Biden follows through on a promise to be a “transitional” candidate, and steps aside for Harris. If he does not, Biden will have consigned Harris to the ignominious task of presiding over the Senate during the certification of Donald Trump’s victory over her on January 6.
