...and she has helpers.
When asked the first thing she would do should she become president, she said she would lower prices. Really? How? I’m guessing a magic wand might be the answer. Or maybe an army of authoritative price tag–changers going through all the stores. Now then, who would be the fascist?
Higher prices for much of the stuff we consume are not arbitrary. “Price-gouging” can’t happen when the consumer has multiple options for what he buys and from whom. There is, however, an occasional practice known as “opportunity pricing” when something is in great demand but with limited sources.

Dick Cheney did it. Arnold Schwarzenegger did it. Adam Kinzinger did it, of course. So did Jeff Flake. Mike Pence walked right up to the edge but ultimately declined to take the plunge, but even George W. Bush’s daughter, Barbara Pierce Bush, and Dick Cheney’s notorious daughter Liz (that is, former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Jan. 6) jumped right in. And now Liz Cheney is calling upon the biggest prize of all, former President George W. Bush, to join the party for the uniparty and endorse Kamala Harris for president.
Fox News reported late Friday night that Liz made her plea on The New Yorker Radio Hour,

The short answer to that question comes from George Orwell: “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.” Packed into that pithy aphorism is the explanation of the bitter struggle centering on the person of President Donald J. Trump.
The dirty little secret of American history is that a largely left-leaning establishment has dominated our politics since 1932 and thereby framed our understanding of the past and goals for the future. Only two Republican presidents have held temporary majorities in both houses of Congress since then: Dwight D. Eisenhower and George W. Bush. Neither made a dent in the establishment’s control.

Bob Woodward, a past master at the art of marketing bestsellers by reflecting the Democrat zeitgeist, tries his best in his latest offering, War, to put a good face on Biden-Harris incompetence in the Afghanistan, Ukraine, and Israel conflicts. Although Donald Trump was not a government actor during these events, War inserts vignettes purporting, unsuccessfully, to contrast Trump’s unfitness with Biden’s putative steadiness.
Woodward tries but fails to claim that it is Trump’s alleged instability that threatens our fragile world, and not the ineptitude of the senile, perpetually unintelligent Biden. But to his great credit, the dogged reporter in Woodward overcomes the mediocre polemicist.

Kama-lama-ding-dong’s got the blues. This was supposed to be her time. This was supposed to be her rise. She was supposed to make her-story. Instead, Kam-Kam’s on her way to an Election Night drubbing, a week-long bender, and a few months of solitude in celebrity rehab. She should take Hillary Clinton along, too. A period of detox and sobriety could do both some good. And the American people would benefit from their prolonged absence from television news.
America will one day have a female president. She will be smart, articulate, prudent, and brave.

I’ve long found it peculiar that, way back in the 1990s, Tim Walz was taking the lead in promoting the new “Gay-Straight Alliance” club at the school where he worked. Usually, that’s something an openly gay teacher would do. However, when it’s an ostensibly straight teacher, my radar pings.
But my pinging radar means nothing. What may also mean nothing is that two citizen journalists are alleging that they’ve found young men speaking anonymously about the fact that Walz groomed them while they were under his aegis in high school.

Pop quiz, hotshot: You just stole the Democrats’ presidential nomination from a dementia-addled nursing home patient without receiving a single vote from the electorate and while having the lowest approval rating of any modern veep. Despite the nonstop efforts of corporate news propagandists to anoint you as a deserving heir, Americans rightly see you as a fake, foolish, insecure, insignificant, boozy, Canadian flop who has no business being behind the wheel of an automobile, let alone taking charge of a nuclear arsenal as commander-in-chief.

In the lead-up to and during Barack Obama’s presidency, we were relentlessly told that Barack Obama was a racial healer and a man of unusual, almost James Bondian suave sophistication. Both were lies. Barack Obama has always been a race hustler and a crude, low-thinking person. Both traits appeared during campaign appearances he made yesterday on Kamala’s behalf, where he made a vulgar crack about Donald Trump and shamed young black men for voting for their interests rather than their skin color.

In the movie Eight Men Out, the story of the White Sox who threw the Series, we remember a scene where the manager Kid Gleason goes to the mound to pull the pitcher, Lefty Williams. He looks at the pitcher and said something like "Not your day, Lefty."
My guess is that people who watched CBS last night came to a similar conclusion: "Not your day, Kam." It's hard to believe that any voter can vote for this lady, unless your hatred of Trump is all-consuming or unconditional abortion is the only thing that matters to you.
It's obvious that VP Harris does not understand how corporate taxes work

After impregnating his children's nanny, and getting accused of slapping a girlfriend so hard she "spun around," Kamala Harris's hubby, Doug Emhoff, has now been accused of being his company's office 'a******," a foul-mouthed bully who treated the women he worked with like dirt.
So much for that mild-mannered milquetoast persona he presents to MSNBC.
According to the Daily Mail: Kamala Harris's husband was 'inappropriate' and 'misogynistic' at work, his former colleagues tell DailyMail.com.
Attorneys who worked with Doug Emhoff at his former firm Venable say he yelled expletives, held a men-only cocktail hour in the office, revoked work perks from women who didn't flirt with him

Kamala is a good-for-nothing on at least three levels.
First: she is literally “good for nothing.”
Her career is littered with failures. Even a distinguished black journalist dared to observe, at great professional peril, her “failing up” the career ladder. Craig J. DeLuz, writing for the Washington Times, bravely concedes that, “An elected official with a track record of failure spanning her entire political career, Harris has consistently been rewarded with promotions by left-leaning voters.”
Among her many inadequacies, Mr. DeLuz notes that Kamala was the most left-leaning member of the Senate, all the while achieving the following – nothing.

A PAC supporting Kamala Harris runs an ad that features Harris making the following impassioned statement, “We are helping dig families out of debt by telling billionaires to pay their fair share!” The commercial presents this exclamation as Harris’ “reason for running” for office, but does not explain what it means. Some of the audience tries to guess what this statement means while Harris’ supporters do not care and will vote for her regardless of what she says. Those who care to understand must speculate for an explanation. To whom will “billionaires” pay this undefined “fair share?” We can guess that she is talking about paying taxes.
