Actress Teri Garr has died at age 79.
Garr died Tuesday morning in Los Angeles after a long battle with multiple sclerosis, her publicist, Heidi Schaeffer, confirmed to The Post.
She is survived by her daughter Molly O’Neil, 30, and grandson Tyryn, 6.
The late star was best known for her roles in the films “Young Frankenstein” and “Tootsie,” the latter of which earned her an Oscar nomination.
Garr was born on December 11, 1944 in Lakewood, Ohio. She moved to Los Angeles and then later to New York to pursue acting. She started out as a go-go dancer and made appearances in six Elvis Presley musicals in the 1960s.

RIP Terri Garr, and condolences to your family. Loved her in Young Frankenstein, Oh God, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Mr. Mom. She was so pretty.

I loved her. She was effortlessly funny. She did an episode of a TV program called McCloud and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Lovely woman. Rest in peace, sweetie.

Have to admit, I was never a fan. She was a little too quirky for me, but my sons all thought she was “hot.” RIP.

She was great in everything she did, starting with "Star Trek" as Gary Seven's secretary. Condolences to her family.

I remember roles, but would not have recognized her in that more recent photo. Some people don't seem to change, others change a lot. Same with members of my HS class, many are instantly recognized others.....not so much, aftr 50 years,

Terri Garr had SO much personality. She was not the most physically beautiful woman but her persona just oozed sex appeal and intellectual attraction... at least to me.
Her appearances on late night TV were always full of coy girlish playfulness.
She was a delight.

RIP, Teri. Cute girl, but I never thought of her as a sex symbol. She just always seemed like such a ditz!

I only saw her in Star Trek in the Gary Seven episode. It looked like they were trying to make a spinoff that sadly never happened. She was so beautiful. Sad to hear she's gone.

I remember her role in Young Frankenstein, and remember seeing her in several other shows.
Aside from being very pretty, I always had the impression that she was a very nice person.
It's a shame that she had to battle MS. I saw a neighbor fight it for years, a horrible disease.
Rest in Peace, Miss Garr! May you forever in Heaven have the beauty and personality that you shared with us, years ago!

I am glad this lady is no longer suffering from that awful disease. If I remember, she was struck with MS and it really progressed rapidly.
Hollywood full of beautiful blondes and even some with comedic talents. I think Terri Garr was a standout among them, however. She was just plain charming in films like Tootsie and I think she was brilliant in Young Frankenstein. Rest in peace, dear one, you will long be remembered fondly for always.
