David French’s current New York Times column is the manifesto of a self-described Never Trumper. French recounts the four lessons he claims to have learned from his nine years of opposition to Trump. They seem to me to be deeply deluded.
Lesson number one is that “Community is more powerful than ideology.” French’s point here is that Trump is not a Reaganite purist, but nevertheless has been embraced by the Republican Party. But French completely fails to acknowledge the many ways in which Trump aligns, ideologically, with the Republicanism that has been mainstream since the 1980s.

History repeated itself on Sunday – sort of – when Donald Trump appeared at Madison Square Garden with a member of the Kennedy family during the ex-president’s boisterous rally.

NEW YORK — Former President Donald Trump cemented his image as the biggest showman in U.S. politics by bringing his Make America Great Again road show to the world’s most iconic arena.
Taking a detour from crucial battleground states, Mr. Trump, joined by a star-studded cast of surrogates, told the thousands who flocked to see him at New York’s Madison Square Garden that the election is a stark choice between the status quo’s “gross incompetence” and the dawn of the “four greatest years in the history of our country.”
“I’m thrilled to be back in the city I love,” Mr. Trump said. “I’d like to begin by asking a very simple question:

Newly-minted Republican Tulsi Gabbard singled out one key point of former President Donald Trump’s White House run that had Democrats “freaked out” that should give the GOP hope.
Joined by fellow transition team member Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the Reclaim America Tour, the former Hawaii congresswoman spoke to Trump bucking the establishment in preparing for his potential return to office. Primarily, she addressed how the team had snubbed taxpayer funding and the strings that come attached to maintain a private enterprise “that is already getting to work.”

This was always going to be a tough year for Senate Democrats because Republicans have the most favorable Senate map they’ve had in years. Assuming Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) prevails in his race against Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), who he’s currently leading in the RealClearPolitics average of polls by 4.2 points, and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) defeats his opponent, former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D-FL), whom he is leading by an average of 5 points, Republicans are widely expected to take back control of the Senate in November.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) said she thinks the Madison Square Garden rally former President Trump is hosting Sunday is a “white flag of surrender.”
“I think he’s waving the white flag of surrender,” Hochul said Sunday on MSNBC’s “The Weekend.” He’s coming back to a city that he knows well. He’s comfortable here. Maybe he’d like to sleep in his own bed.”
Hochul contrasted Trump’s rally with Vice President Harris’s itinerary. She’s campaigning in the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania.
Trump will be going to his “known, familiar” environment, but it won’t serve him on the campaign trail, Hochul argued.

On Sunday, former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump transformed Madison Square Garden into MAGA Square Garden, as the crowd reached capacity of reportedly over 19,000 people. In attendance was the melting pot of New York: Whites, Italians, Muslims, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, all the colors on the spectrum and then some. Yeah, it's unprecedented. This is the Republican presidential candidate packing out a famous venue in deep blue New York City. For a supposedly fascist, racist, Nazi rally, something has gone horribly wrong. The comparison between Trump's MSG rally and a 1939 Nazi Party rally started with, you guessed it, the Hildebeast:

In the section of Wheeling in which I grew up, there was rumored to be a single Republican. We divined his political affiliation from the short sleeve white shirt and skinny black tie he wore to work each day. Even in the 1960s, no one dressed that way unless you were a Republican.
In the first presidential election in which I could vote, I supported George McGovern and ran to be elected a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. I lost. So did George, who could not even claim to be victimized by the Electoral College. Richard Nixon carried 49 states.

The natural cynic in me is loathe to ever partake in analyzing early voting numbers, but there is one exception. Jon Ralston has a long history of breaking down the data in Nevada and has proven that his model should be taken seriously. With that said, it's panic time for Kamala Harris.
Ralston has released his latest blog on the early returns, and they paint a picture of a race slipping away from the Harris campaign. Things are so bad that she'd now need to dramatically overperform with independents to make up the difference. Republicans have increased their statewide lead to 31,000. That’s right at 5 percent.

When former President Donald Trump’s campaign announced it would be holding a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City, Democrats and their close friends and allies in the activist media pounced on the opportunity to further their “Trump is a Nazi/Fascist/Hitler” narrative.
Folks on the left claimed Trump chose that venue supposedly to reenact a Nazi rally that was held at the arena in 1939. (Snip) Yet, footage circulating on social media shows members of Jews for Trump attending the rally to prop up the former president. Apparently, they didn’t get the memo about the former president being “literally Hitler.”

The intelligence gathering and homeland security system put into place after the Patriot Act was passed, is a bureaucratic administrative state without the presence of elected officials controlling the apparatus. That leads to the following question:

Of late, many people — especially politicians, pundits and celebrities on the left — have been engaged in agonizing introspection, trying to ascertain why the election has seemed to tip towards former President Donald Trump.
In my estimation, much of the reasoning comes down to an example of “life imitating art.” In this case, such “art” being the 1986 movie “Back to School,” starring Rodney Dangerfield. Now, while some of the entitled, entrenched elites on the left might ignorantly and snobbishly scoff at such a theory — part of the reason they may soon be on the outside looking in — it has real validity.

As Kamala continues her fall free-fall, the Democrats fear the worst. They fear that Kamala, like her predecessor and boss, has been found out. And the American people don’t like what they found out.
The people have found out that Kamala has always advocated an open border, is apparently ambivalent (at best) about Israel defending itself, wants taxpayer-funded “gender correction” surgery for male convicts so that women in female prisons can “enjoy” their company, and wants to double the capital gains tax.
In a nutshell, the Democrats fear that Kamala has been found out to be a hard-left socialist. Indeed, she has a voting record to the left of Bernie Sanders.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has hit the campaign trail for Vice President Kamala Harris — but critics are panning her 11th-hour sales pitch as “racist” and “sexist” and saying that her words reveal more about her than they do about Harris.
Obama ignored the possibility that Harris — who catapulted to the top of the Democratic ticket on the tidal wave of President Joe Biden’s ouster from the race — was simply a weak and unlikable candidate, and instead argued that the voters were the only possible weak link in the chain. That, she claimed, was the result of racism and sexism in the electorate.

Thousands of excited and enthusiastic backers of Donald Trump began pouring into Madison Square Garden Sunday afternoon, after waiting in the chilly weather for hours, and in some cases days, to hear the former president speak.
At least 9,000 were let in as of 12:30 p.m., with close to 19,000 still waiting, according to very rough estimates from The Post and cops on the scene.
Some of the attendees had arrived as early as Friday and battled through urges to use the bathroom amid a lack of porta-potties during the lengthy wait.

We know Donald Trump extremely well. Not to wax all Eastwoodian, but when it comes to Trump, we already know the good, the bad, and the ugly. We know all about McDonald’s, the divorces, the money, the accusations, the successes, and the hair.
He’s transparent.
In fact, given the global population boom and the rise in alternative media, you could make a compelling argument that more content has probably been produced about Donald Trump over the past 10 years than about anyone else on the planet. A tiny Ohio town is wrangling with a sudden influx of African refugees whose arrival has almost doubled the population over the past year.
Close to Cincinnati, Lockland was home to 3,500 people in 2023, but local officials say it has since taken in more than 3,000 legal Mauritanian asylum seekers.
'If you look at 2021, 2022, the United States had seen a huge influx of immigrants from Mauritania,' Lockland Village Administrator Doug Wehmeyer told Fox News Digital.

On-air this week, MSNBC commentator Mika Brzezinski claimed that former President Donald Trump is killing women.
Brzezinski made the remarks on Thursday. “Trump’s fascism…it’s the lead story every day. His cozying up to dictators, his obsession with Hitler that has now come out, what he has said about our veterans and what he wants to do with the military against his political adversaries, it’s all huge news,” Brzezinski said.
“This is the future we are looking at in the next Trump term, if there is one. But, this is what voters know right now,”

In a recent interview, Senator JD Vance (R-OH) didn’t hold back when NBC’s Kristen Welker attempted to corner him on Donald Trump’s recent remarks regarding the “enemy from within.”
Trump ignited a media firestorm following his interview with Joe Rogan by asserting that America faces a greater threat from within than it does from longstanding adversaries like North Korea.
Trump noted, “We had no problem with [Kim Jong Un],” adding, “I say it to people, we have a bigger problem, in my opinion, with the enemy from within.”
JD Vance stepped up to dismantle the “enemy from within” narrative in one powerful minute, taking aim at the leadership

This man is a Twitter/X user who goes by the name Ace Smart.
In this video, which has gone viral with over a million views, Smart loses his mind over the inability of Kamala Harris to answer basic questions about policy despite having been in office as vice president for three and a half years.
He is specifically referring to the moment in the CNN town hall event this week where Harris was asked a policy question and responded by saying that she could not answer because she likes to study issues before taking a position.
Based on his Twitter/X feed, Smart appears to be a Trump supporter, so he is

Facing the left-wing voters of a Democratic primary, Vice President Kamala Harris staked out radical positions on a slew of issues far outside mainstream opinion during her failed 2019 presidential run. Now facing a much more centrist general election electorate, Harris is desperate to distance herself from her extremist past, and one of her favorite dodges is her claim that she will “follow the law” if elected president.
Problem is, presidents have far-reaching powers to make the law through both regulatory and prosecutorial decision-making, especially on the issues on which Harris is most desperate to dodge accountability.

For quite some time, Democrats have been campaigning on the idea that contrary to what Republicans have said, violent crime is down. The Biden administration is handling things and there's no reason for anyone to be concerned about being gunned down in a parking lot over their cell phone or car keys.
However, that seemed to ring hollow to a whole lot of people. After all, the news reports sure don't look like violent crime is down.
Yet a whole lot of people had a lot vested in telling you that it was, particularly gun control groups like Giffords. After all, President Joe Biden signed a major gun control bill into law.

In the early days of this column, I confessed that T.S. Eliot is always with me. His words frequently rise to the surface of my mind. They are particularly powerful as a counter to despair—which is, in contemporary America, rife. As its citizenry has been preparing to exercise its right to vote next week, we have been warned that—regardless of the result—everything, everywhere is doomed: America’s education system, its birth rate, the planet, the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, democracy itself.

Mika used a recent Morning Joe broadcast on Fake News MSNBC to embark on a rant so unhinged and unmoored from reality that it boggles the mind. If you’ve been alive on Earth for a few decades, you’ve probably watched more than a few election cycles – both general and midterms, federal, state, and municipal. With that thought in mind, I have to ask – have you ever seen a politician win on the promise to raise your taxes? The answer to that, of course, is ‘no.’ Sure, during election time, liberals and Democrats will talk about the importance of certain programs for various perceived “needs,” causes, and crises – but they never get around to explaining what pays for those programs. The answer to that, of course, is ‘your money!’

From her incoherent word salads to her puddle-sized understanding of the issues, Harris is dumber than Hillary, more boring than Hillary, and, ultimately, far more dangerous to the future of the United States and the world than Hillary Clinton.
This is not an exaggeration. After putting her up for president, the Democrats should be arrested for impersonating a political party. Unvetted by the electorate, Kamala Harris was manufactured in a media lab, probably at Columbia but the evidence is lacking. She's a Frankenstein monster whose personae have been carefully assembled, piece by piece, to reflect an America that doesn't exist except in the fever dreams of left-wing radicals.

Iran’s military said early Saturday that Israeli strikes on the country targeted military bases in Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran provinces, causing “limited damage,” and that two soldiers were killed.
After announcing the strikes were underway, the Israel Defense Forces later released a statement saying they had concluded their mission and warned Iran not to escalate.

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, recently called Donald Trump a “fascist to the core” and “a wannabe dictator.” That such a senior military leader would feel comfortable saying this about his former boss is remarkable given that similar statements by officers have, in the past, resulted in severe punishment. The U.S. Constitution makes the president—the only democratically elected leader in the chain of command—commander in chief. Military leaders serving under the president owe him both deference and respect, regardless of whether their policy preferences differ.

I wonder if it ever dawns on all those well-paid, city-bred campaign consultants who come in to states like Montana, that nobody is listening anymore? Oh, sure. There are the political junkies, left and right, who thrive on the junk food of campaign advertising, doused with the vinegar of vitriol. But for most folks, the noise of the election season has reached a decibel level that so numbs the ears, that the messages are no longer getting through. Since the 1970s, they allege, Exxon Knew that human-caused climate change is “real” – but lied about it, claimed there wasn’t a “crisis,” and kept marketing its “planet-killing” fuels and petrochemical feed stocks. Now activists say Exxon Knew for years that very little plastic waste is actually recycled. The oil giant is deceiving regulators and consumers with claims that all plastics are recyclable and its “advanced recycling” processes keep enormous amounts of plastics out of landfills.

Everyone is wondering what will happen on November 5. Will Trump win the election? Or will the Democrats, aided by their Deep State operatives in the FBI and CIA, manage to “fortify” the election once again? This may surprise you, but I think he’ll win—although that’s not the end of the story, and there’s not necessarily a happy ending.
Two months ago, I didn’t think Trump would win.
I was confident that the same “cabal” of Deep State cronies Time Magazine wrote about in 2021—the secret junta that really rules America—would never allow Trump to win in a fair election.

Michelle Obama came out to support Kamala Harris during an event in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Saturday. She hasn't done much for Harris; she hasn't been out there like her husband. This is her first campaign appearance apart from the DNC in August, and we're almost at the election. She scarcely could have done less. But to be fair, surrogates Barack Obama and Bill Clinton haven't been doing well for Kamala either. They seem to be accidentally throwing her under the bus and stepping in it more than helping her.
Barack basically attacked black men for not being sufficiently supportive of her and suggested they were misogynistic.

The ad opens with a reminder of the Democrat Party’s high popularity during Obama’s presidency. With Hillary Clinton primed to continue the legacy, the Democrat elite appeared ready to cement their hold on power.
However, the ad accuses the DNC of orchestrating a coup to sideline Senator Bernie Sanders— whose momentum, Shanahan’s campaign claims, threatened Clinton’s ascent.

Desperation time? The front page of Thursday’s New York Times bluntly blamed sexism for Kamala Harris’s campaign woes. Reporters Lisa Lerer and Katie Glueck bitterly lamented “The Quiet, Stubborn Aversion To Putting a Woman in Power.”
With less than two weeks left before Election Day, a big question is looming over the campaign for the White House, and it has nothing to do with the economy or the barrage of attacks between former President Donald J. It is gender. With less than two weeks left before Election Day, a big question is looming over the campaign for the White House,
