“Exxon Knew!” The battle cry has inflamed and inspired climate activists for decades. Since the 1970s, they allege, Exxon Knew that human-caused climate change is “real” – but lied about it, claimed there wasn’t a “crisis,” and kept marketing its “planet-killing” fuels and petrochemical feed stocks. Now activists say Exxon Knew for years that very little plastic waste is actually recycled. The oil giant is deceiving regulators and consumers with claims that all plastics are recyclable and its “advanced recycling” processes keep enormous amounts of plastics out of landfills.
ExxonMobil “campaign of deception” demands a lawsuit, says California Attorney General Rob Bonta.

Someone wants to suck money out of the oil industry.

And most politicians are lawyers. All plastic eventually gets recycled.

So,....I'm friendly with the man who invented the plastic ketchup bottle. The plastic containers put micro particles into the food/drink. We each have enough plastic in our bodies to make a credit card.
He also upgraded the PAM containers. Yeah, I reminded him that I don't use PAM products because I don't want the propellants in my body.

We have known for decades that most recycling goes to the dump. That is not an Exxon problem. They don't run the recycling programs or collect waste. The county does.

Put a sock in it.
I knew that very little plastic was recycled, back when they started the whole recycling meme. You need an industrial complex to break down such items, and no such facility was built. So where else would the plastic go, except in a landfill or in the ocean?
Start accepting responsibility.

Gore Knew!
More than 90 percent of NOAA’s temperature monitoring stations have a heat bias. The urban heat island effect causes higher temperatures in areas where there are more buildings, roads, and other forms of infrastructure that absorb and then radiate the sun’s heat.

That tells me right off that the liberals are coming out early to attack the Energy Independence that Donald Trump will bring back to America.

Exxon probably contributed more to climate change than anybody when they let a drunken ship captain run the Exxon Valdez aground and spilled oil all over the coast of Alaska. If we let these climate lunatics keep up their panic campaign, we will be facing another "the Earth is cooling down and we're all going to freeze" in another hundred years when everybody who believed that all of our ice is melting is long dead. Memorize this: It's all about money.
Society does not pay scientists enough, according to them, so they must continuously manufacture crises, start wars and otherwise scare money out of governments and taxpayers. Formalized fear-mongering began in the 1950s with Vietnam, prospered through the Cold War and grows with every decade that passes with more sophisticated schemes like pandemics, climate change, UFOs and various destruction of the Earth scenarios.

Plastic is used everyday in everyway in practically everything. Tell them the first thing to go will be their smartphones. The sound you hear is screaming.

What a total crock. The IS NO human effects on climate. In fact, green plants need MORE CO2 to thrive, the atomsphere is dangerously LOW on CO2.

Exxon should counter by suing them for lying about recycling and climate change/global warming/cooling and other nomenclatures they've used for their grift. Leftists only know how to project. They've known for years they are liars who lie about everything.

Stop using plastic and the entire food industry will shut down in a day. Not a 'short period of time' but like from Wednesday to Thursday.

Did anybody read this article? It describes all the different plastics. IT also describes the only way to "recycle" plastics: a waste-to-energy (WTE) / resource recovery facility. Read the article BEFORE commenting on the article.

Activists knew when they bought Exxon gasoline, purchased homes, large SUV's. Activists knew when they ate meat. Why don't activists lead by example: Walk and don't eat.

I operate a couple of 3d printers. I would be happy to recycle failed prints etc, but a shredder costs well over $1500! Even direct from China it is outrageous...a modified paper shredder doesn't cut it...OMG, I am so sorry for that pun, you will just have to suffer as my late wife did!

Exxon isn't the only petroleum company. Are his remarks put forth so he can short the stock after turning people away from the company?
