Newly promoted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who also now serves as a senior adviser to President Joe Biden, prevents national security spokesperson John Kirby from joining her at the podium at White House press briefings, people familiar with the matter told Axios.
Infighting and “tension” reportedly exist between Jean-Pierre and Kirby about how much time each is allotted to provide the establishment media with canned public relations remarks during press briefings, Axios previously reported. Kirby is reportedly a “Biden favorite” with experience in foreign policy.
Axios reported Monday on Jean-Pierre’s attempt to prevent Kirby from speaking to the press:

A retired, senior Pentagon official has confirmed that UFO 'mother ships' were spotted 'releasing swarms of smaller craft' — adding further mystery to the still-unexplained intrusions over multiple US military bases.
His statements come amid the release of 50 pages of Air Force records related to provocative 'drone' incursions, that one general calls 'Close Encounters at Langley.'
For at least 17 nights last December, swarms of noisy, small UFOs were seen at dusk 'moving at rapid speeds' and displaying 'flashing red, green, and white lights' penetrating the highly restricted airspace above Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

Officials in a small Massachusetts town are in an uproar over a creative pro-Trump fan displaying his support for the 45th President.
As Fox News reported, a man living in Hanson, Massachusetts, has been ordered to stop projecting an epic “Trump 2024” sign from his residence onto the town’s municipal water tower. If he refuses to abide, he will face daily fines.
Hanson Town Administrator Lisa Green released a statement after becoming aware the resident’s creative display.
She claimed the resident was “misleading” the public into believing the town of Hanson condones his actions and supports Trump.

The mainstream media has long been a cheerleader for the Democrats. Its coverage of Donald Trump is overwhelmingly negative, while its coverage of Kamala Harris is so positive and glowing that it could blind you. The media will also give extensive coverage to any poll that shows Harris ahead and dismiss or even ignore polls that look good for Trump. However, in the past week or so, there's been an attitude change as polls have shifted to Trump.
Last week, Mika Brzezinski, the co-host of “Morning Joe,” admitted that “There’s this fear that Donald Trump is poised for victory" because nothing Harris has done in recent weeks

Kamala Harris has a problem with veterans.
They overwhelmingly support her opponent — favoring Donald Trump by a lopsided 61% to 37%, according to the latest Pew Research Center survey.
For years, civilians have been sold a narrative that just isn’t true.
Democrats and liberals in the media invested heavily in trying to portray Trump as a leader at odds with America’s men and women in uniform.
But veterans themselves never bought the story — they’ve been one of the Republican’s most steadfast constituencies.

Thanks to the terrible destruction Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton wrought on millions of Americans in the Southeast, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has been continuously in the headlines for two weeks.
Former President Donald Trump claims that FEMA has been slow to respond to the disasters, especially in the mountains of western North Carolina where the storms hit thousands of people living in high-altitude rural isolation especially hard.
Trump claims that a big part of FEMA's laggard response is due to the fact President Joe Biden's administration diverted hundreds of millions of tax dollars from disaster relief to providing free food, shelter,

After the Trump assassination attempt at Butler, I’m having an unexpected crisis of faith. What’s unusual is...I’m an atheist. Not just an atheist, but you know, the insufferable kind, the kind that insists on being sworn in without that “so help me God” nonsense.
From a young age, I wanted things to make sense with reason my guiding principle. The idea of an all-powerful, all-knowing being whose address—Heaven—doesn’t even come up on Google Maps seemed more preposterous than Santa. At least we knew we could find Santa at the North Pole.

On Sunday, PJ Media's Scott Pinsker said that there would be a surefire way of telling that Kamala Harris legitimately thinks she's losing the election.
"As long as Kamala Harris believes she’s winning, she’s not going to take any risks. No big gambles, no bold moves," he wrote. He noted several signs of genuine panic from her campaign, and number one was that "Kamala Harris will suddenly open up and do a ton of interviews — including hostile interviews."
Lo and behold, on Monday, Fox News announced that Harris will do a sit-down interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

As we reported earlier, Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign has been rocked by allegations that Harris plagiarized parts of her book, "Smart on Crime," which she co-wrote in 2009 with author Joan O'C. Hamilton.
The claims were made by leading Critical Race Theory critic Christopher Rufo in a detailed Twitter/X thread and Substack piece, both of which were published Monday morning.
According to Rufo, the Democrat presidential nominee "plagiarized at least a dozen sections of her criminal-justice book," as discovered by Austrian "plagiarism hunter" Dr. Stefan Weber, who Rufo says "has taken down politicians in the German-speaking world."

Unsurprisingly, the video sparked outrage among leftists, who quickly claimed it missed the point of 'Full Metal Jacket.' Did they have a valid argument? Maybe. But their criticism was swiftly dismantled by none other than Vivian Kubrick,

Vance to say Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, with Martha Raddatz on Sunday’s “This Week” being the latest in a string of interviewers pressing the vice-presidential candidate on that question. [Snip] No one can possibly know the answer to that question because in 2020 there were too many election laws violated or ignored, and too many illegal votes counted. But the lawsuits challenging the elections outcomes were tossed as moot once the votes were certified, so there was never a determination on the validity of the tallies, leaving uncertain the accuracy of the election results.

I’ve long found it peculiar that, way back in the 1990s, Tim Walz was taking the lead in promoting the new “Gay-Straight Alliance” club at the school where he worked. Usually, that’s something an openly gay teacher would do. However, when it’s an ostensibly straight teacher, my radar pings.

Increasingly, little if anything remains real about the Harris campaign. It is now well known that Kamala Harris was rated as the most left-wing of all current senators, including Bernie Sanders—according to GovTrack, a non-partisan compiler of evaluators in Congress. The Voteview project found her voting record the most liberal of all senators of the 21st century, except for radical Elizabeth Warren.
Harris as vice president in a 50/50 Senate has proven the decisive passing vote on more deadlocked bills than any other vice president in history—all thirty-three of them proudly progressive legislation. She has done more to ensure left-wing government at the national level than any prior vice president.

Kamala Harris has launched a series of measures to shore up the votes of black men amid fears they may not turn out for her on Election Day. It comes as polls showed her level of support among black men lower than that of Joe Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016. A New York Times poll last week showed 70 per cent of black male voters backing Harris, and 20 percent Donald Trump. Harris' figure was significantly down from the 85 percent who backed Joe Biden in 2020. In a stark intervention last week Barack Obama urged black men to vote for the Democratic nominee.

I have never enjoyed watching the Sunday shows more than this 2024 election cycle. Thanks to the artful rhetoric and cogitative skills of Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance and the top-tier of Trump surrogates, the days of hammering the hackneyed and false legacy media narratives while making Republicans look stupid are over. This past Sunday morning, Vance appeared on ABC's "This Week" with Martha Raddatz filling in for George Stephanopoulos, and quickly made mincemeat of Raddatz when she dismissed as fiction the fact that Tren de Aragua had taken over low-income apartments in Aurora, CO. Raddatz was insistent on Vance answering whether he supported Donald Trump's "claims."

For 17 consecutive nights, a squadron of mysterious drones breached the airspace over Langley Air Force Base, home to some of America’s most advanced military assets.
Despite the base’s state-of-the-art defenses, military personnel were left perplexed and concerned, watching each night as the drones crossed Virginia’s restricted airspace without deterrent.

During the lead up to Donald Trump's announcement of his choice for a running mate, I was aware that Sen. JD Vance of Ohio was near the top of the list, but I knew almost nothing about him. OK, I knew that he was a successful author, and that was it. I was barely aware that he had been a critic of Trump's at one point.
The Republican National Convention quickly convinced me that he was the perfect pick for Trump. This is what I wrote in the Briefing the morning after Vance's acceptance speech:

In a bid to win over Hispanic voters, Kamala Harris recently appeared at a Univision-hosted town hall in Las Vegas. What was intended to be a genuine interaction with the audience quickly spiraled into controversy when Harris was allegedly caught using a teleprompter during the event.
Despite Univision and the moderators fiercely denying the allegations, the damage was done. The image of a politician so out of touch, unable to speak without a pre-written script, stuck in the minds of many voters.
The incident erupted when a Univision camera briefly captured a teleprompter with visible text in front of Harris, sparking outrage across social media, particularly from conservative figures.

A brutal crew of baby-faced Tren de Aragua migrant gangbangers at a city-funded Manhattan shelter are pulling off armed robberies in Times Square — and they’re getting away with it, officials and sources said.
Nearly two dozen young migrant thugs, some as young as 11-years old, are now part of a dangerous asylum seeking brat pack that has graduated from purse snatchings to gunpoint heists targeting New Yorkers and tourists alike, a top NYPD official told The Post.
But they’re managing to stay out of jail because of their ages and the Empire State’s lenient criminal justice laws, Detective Bureau Assistant Chief Jason Savino said.

It's been five weeks since the 33,000 machinists went on strike at Boeing's plants in Washington state and Oregon, and we're guessing the strikers didn't expect this kind of dramatic fallout. The defense contractor and commercial airliner producer has just announced a stunning amount of layoffs and huge production cutbacks after talks between the aerospace workers and the company crashed and burned. The company announced the suspension of its successful 737 MAX and 777 jets due to the strike, but in the last few days the new CEO has announced that he's canceled production of a 767 freighter,

[I]n 1933 a French premier ought to have said (and if I had been the French premier I would have said it): 'The new Reich Chancellor is the man who wrote Mein Kampf, which says this and that. This man cannot be tolerated in our vicinity. Either he disappears or we march!' But they didn't do it. They left us alone and let us slip through the risky zone, and we were able to sail around all dangerous reefs. And when we were done, and well-armed, better than they, then they started the war!" — Joseph Goebbels, Germany's Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda from 1933-1945.

The world’s eyes are once again focused on the south of Lebanon, as the Israel Defense Forces continue their war against Hezbollah.
The IDF took me into Lebanon Saturday to see firsthand some of what they have already found.
The timing was important because the Israelis this week got caught in a battle of more than words with the United Nations “peacekeeping force” in the area.
Five UN force members have been wounded in recent days. The IDF has taken responsibility for several of these accidental cases, although two days ago it was Hezbollah that hit a UN peacekeeper.
Still, the fact is that ever since the 2006 war here ended,

New signs of a tightening race in Wisconsin are flashing warning signs for incumbent Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin as she looks to fend off a challenge from Trump-backed Eric Hovde, giving Republicans a boost in their efforts to take the upper chamber this fall.
The Cook Political Report shifted the race to “toss-up” status this week, and public and internal polling has raised alarms that Hovde could be closing the gap with less than a month to go until Election Day.

I try to be very cautious about polls and oddsmaking. But something seems to have happened in the last few days that indicates a change in the direction of the election.
There's been a significant shift from Kamala Harris towards President Trump in the various betting odds platforms, raising the likelihood that polls are going to start turning decisively towards him, too.
After that, the election, less than a month away, will bring President Trump victory. It's as if the last remaining undecided independents have started to break for Trump.
Here's the RealClearPolitics betting odds average, created from a variety of outlets that take bets on the electoral outcome:

With the polls starting to show a shift toward Trump, the Harris-Walz campaign is showing signs of desperation. They’re not just sending Kamala out to do softball interviews; they’re sending past presidents like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to seal the deal for her. On Thursday evening, Barack Obama was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, tasked with the job of boosting black voter turnout for Kamala Harris. More specifically, Obama’s goal was to help Kamala win over black men, who are increasingly leaning toward Trump.
Obama’s messaging was, to say the least, insulting. Like Joe Biden’s “you ain’t black” moment in the 2020 campaign,

From Bill Clinton to Barack Obama to Joe Biden, Democratic presidents have been wooed by the false hope of a “grand bargain” with Iran. It has done nothing but embolden the mullahs and make Americans less safe, Kenneth R. Timmerman writes in his new book, “The Iran House: Tales of Revolution, Persecution, War, and Intrigue,” out now. Here, the senior fellow at the America First Policy Institute, explains how things have gone wrong.
For decades, Democrat Party power brokers have believed in the misguided dream that peace with Iran’s tyrannical leaders is possible — and instead made the world a more dangerous place.

Hello once again from Berlin, where I’ll be speaking today on a panel about migration and anti-Semitism.
Over 2000 radical Islamists gathered in Hamburg, Germany, on Saturday to call for a caliphate and the implementation of Sharia law.
In the footage from the gathering, crowds could be heard chanting Allahu Akhbar.
Germany is a country in which one of the most popular political parties in the country, the right-wing AfD, is under constant surveillance by state security for supposedly being an extremist threat to German democracy. And yet, in Hamburg, 2,000 Islamists rally calling for the overthrow of the state and its replacement with an Islamic religious government.

As the latest polls Sunday showed Donald Trump and Kamala Harris neck and neck with just 23 days to go until the presidential election, Democratic spinmeisters are trying to calm the bedwetters, and Barack Obama has been dispatched to scold black men for not being impressed by his protégé.
But as uncomfortably close as this election is, one thing is certain: Tim Walz has to be the worst VP pick on record, in stark contrast to JD Vance.
If Harris loses, her self-indulgent decision to reject popular Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro in favor of a running mate even dumber than she is,

We’ve seen so much malpractice from the corrupt media, especially since Donald Trump descended that golden escalator in 2015, that it’s hard to be surprised anymore. We’ve seen them bury the Hunter Biden laptop story right before an election, we saw them prattle on for years about a fake Russia Collusion narrative, and witnessed them lie endlessly about Joe Biden’s obvious mental decline. Still, CBS’ deceptive editing of Kamala Harris’ “60 Minutes” interview marks yet another low. As we reported, they issued two separate clips showing Kamala answering a question from interviewer Bill Whitaker—but her answer is different in each one. Clearly, then, one of those edits is a lie.

KISS. The age-old, sage advice to Keep It Simple, Stupid.
With voting already underway, the Trump-Vance campaign has at its disposal a historically simple case to drop the KISS of death on Kamala Harris’ candidacy.
Six numbers utterly disqualify the most inadequate, incompetent, ineffectual, insubstantial candidate ever put forward by a major party for the office of president of the United States of America.
These numbers must be repeated, daily, by the two members of the Republican ticket and every imaginable surrogate between now and the final closing of the final polling place November 5.

Vice President Kamala Harris’ past strong opposition to fracking and to former President Donald Trump’s “border wall” appears to have undergone a radical shift in recent weeks. But voters don’t think the shift is real. Indeed, more than half now call Harris’ abrupt policy changes on these hot-button issues “politically motivated,” the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows.
With the election now merely weeks away, voters are looking at candidates stances on key issues to decide how they vote. But they also understand that, in politics, promises made on the campaign trail have a way of never being seen again once the candidate is elected.

St. John’s — New York’s largest Catholic university — has gone woke and no longer refers to Monday’s holiday as “Christopher Columbus Day’’ in honor of the explorer hailed as a devout Christian.
Some Italian-American civic leaders and alumni are now ripping the Catholic institution for dissing the famous but controversial Italian explorer.
“To not acknowledge Columbus is insane,” said Angelo Vivolo, president of the Columbus Heritage Coalition. “Of course it’s an insult.”

The owner of Time magazine called out Vice President Kamala Harris for turning down multiple interview requests with the prominent publication as the campaign for the White House enters the final homestretch.
Marc Benioff, who has owned Time since 2018, criticized the Democratic nominee on Sunday while pointing out that ex-President Donald Trump and President Biden — before he dropped out — both sat down for interviews during their campaigns.
“Despite multiple requests, TIME has not been granted an interview with Kamala Harris — unlike every other Presidential candidate,” tweeted Benioff, who is best known as the founder of Salesforce.com.

Donald Trump bemoaned political correctness after was stunned by a 'beautiful' woman in the crowd of his Arizona rally.
The former president continued his west coast tour in an attempt to flip Arizona back to red after Joe Biden won the state in 2020.
Trump was discussing why crowds flock in droves to see him at his rallies when he overheard a woman shout: 'Because we love you!'After a raucous round of applause, Trump attempted to address and then compliment the supporter, who has not yet been identified.
'Where is that woman? Stand up! Look at her. Wow! I would say-that's beautiful,'

CBS News' recent directive instructing staff to avoid referring to Jerusalem as part of Israel in reports has caused outrage in Israel and in the United States. The channel recently instructed its staff not to refer to Jerusalem as part of Israel, citing its internationally disputed status. This directive, aimed at "maintaining neutrality in covering the Gaza conflict," has sparked controversy among Jewish employees and Israeli officials, who argue that it undermines the U.S.'s official recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

President Joe Biden's relationship with his No. 2 has soured ever since she replaced him at the top of the Democrat's 2024 presidential ticket.
Vice President Kamala Harris' team has experienced increased tension with Biden's staff, nearly a dozen people familiar with the situation detailed to Axios in a new report.
While aides say that Biden and his team want Harris to win in November, many have lingering bruises from the president being pushed out of his reelection bid.'They're too much in their feelings,' a Harris ally said of Biden's team.

The National Border Patrol Council issued a strong and emphatic endorsement of former President Donald Trump during an Arizona rally on Sunday.
Speaking at the podium, border patrol union president Paul Perez knocked Vice President Kamala Harris for her work as the “border czar” while praising the former president for having “always stood with the men and women who protect this border.” “If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country is going to go to hell.
