As of tomorrow, we are five weeks out from, to borrow a phrase, the most important election of our lifetime. What makes this promise different than in the last few cycles is it happens to have the added benefit of being true. In my last column, I caught more than a little bit of grief from our VIP commenters that I was too optimistic and that I should ixnay on the ed-ray ave-way talk. Fair enough. In Dinesh D'Souza's latest film Vindicating Trump he takes time to carefully explain how the 2024 Election Theft is being planned. All these polls, numbers, analyses, projections go right out the window when you see that monster hurtling down. Sorry to rain on this parade but I don't see any preparation to slow down that train wreck.

I haven't seen D'souza's film, but I agree with #1. This election is already in the bag for Kamala-ding-dong BECAUSE we didn't do a damn thing about the last two or three steals. But, hey, we're not going to vote our way out of this mess anyway, so the sooner WE (not Congress) figure that out, the better off we'll be . . . maybe . . . if we do something besides vote harder and "bring a friend" to vote harder, too! The IDF and the Lebanese army started making moves around 9:00 pm. regarding the imminent Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The IDF at 8:39 p.m. took additional last-minute concrete measures leading toward an invasion, declaring closed military zones at Metulla, Misgav Am, and Kfar Giladi.//snip//Senior IDF sources have been extremely surprised at how ineffective Hezbollah has been at responding to the military's onslaught against it over the last two weeks and in particular since Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated this past Friday.

I debated whether to write about this but decided it was worth the post. Both Ed and I have written about the Biblical disaster unfolding in North Carolina, Ed on the massive scale, and I on the Biden/Harris indifference to the suffering of people in Red areas of the country. But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and Andy Swan has pointed out that the tweet that Kamala Harris put out to express her overwhelming support for the people of Appalachia shows the emptiness of their concern. Kamala Harris is so concerned that she made a phantom phone call to the FEMA director.

JERUSALEM — The Israeli military on Tuesday said it had begun a “limited, localized” operation against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, opening a new front in its war against the Lebanese militant group. In a brief announcement, it said it was striking Hezbollah targets in areas close to the Israeli border, and that air force and artillery units were carrying out attacks to support the ground forces. It gave no details on how long the operation would last, but said the army had been training and preparing for months. “A few hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized and targeted ground raids,” it said. “These targets are located

Following Israel’s assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made a shocking allegation about espionage within Iran. He claims that a unit established to counter Israel had its leadership infiltrated by an agent of Mossad, Israel’s national intelligence agency. He reiterated, “We established a unit to counter Israel, and the person at the head turned out to be a Mossad agent.” Mossad agents steal nuclear documents In an interview with CNN Turk following the rejection of his candidacy for Iran’s June 2024 presidential elections, Ahmadinejad revealed that Iran established a special unit to combat Mossad activities within the country.

An Israeli ground offensive into Lebanon appeared imminent Monday night as defense chiefs spoke of a new stage in the war against Hezbollah, and world leaders engaged in last-minute and seemingly futile appeals for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and the Iranian-backed terror group. Lebanese troops pulled back from the border with Israel late on Monday, as the IDF imposed a closed military zone in the area of the northern border communities of Metula, Misgav Am and Kfar Giladi. Israel’s high-level security cabinet also met to discuss developments. US officials said the positioning of Israeli troops suggested a ground incursion could be near. Toward midnight, various conflicting reports emerged

The New York Times editorial board is backing Vice President Harris for president this fall over former President Trump. In an editorial published Monday, the Times said it is “hard to imagine a candidate more unworthy to serve as president of the United States than Donald Trump.” “He has proved himself morally unfit for an office that asks its occupant to put the good of the nation above self-interest,” the newspaper wrote of Trump. “He has proved himself temperamentally unfit for a role that requires the very qualities — wisdom, honesty, empathy, courage, restraint, humility, discipline — that he most lacks.”

The Biden administration is fast-tracking approval for the transfer of more than 200 radio-station licenses from bankrupt broadcaster Audacy Inc. to a nonprofit controlled by George Soros’s progressive philanthropy empire, raising the ire of Republicans who say the Federal Communications Commission is breaking with established procedure to push the deal through. The FCC voted 3-2 earlier this month to allow a restructured Audacy Inc., now controlled by the Soros-funded nonprofit Fund for Policy Reform, to maintain over 200 broadcast licenses as it emerges from bankruptcy proceedings.

Hamas’s Fateh Sherif and his family were killed in an airstrike at a Palestinian refugee camp in the southern city of Tyre, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday. “Sherif was responsible for coordinating Hamas’ terror activities in Lebanon with Hezbollah operatives, as well as Hamas’ efforts in Lebanon to recruit operatives and acquire weapons.”

And on Saturday Biden, who was on yet another vacation in Rehoboth Beach, issued a written statement on the death of Hezbollah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah, which was the result of a targeted Israeli airstrike, coming roughly 10 days after the pager and hand-held radio detonations against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon and Syria.

While the Trump administration never formally accused Clinton of breaking the law, Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey in July 2016 said that Clinton had stored 110 emails containing classified information on a private email server, with eight email chains containing top secret information.

WASHINGTON − Former President Donald Trump continued to ramp up attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday, again falsely describing her and President Joe Biden as "mentally disabled." Biden "became mentally impaired, sad. But lyin' Kamala Harris? Honestly, I believe she was born that way," Trump said in a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania. "There's something wrong with Kamala." Trump used similar rhetoric Saturday during a speech in Wisconsin, and he's frequently called Harris "stupid," "weak" and "dumb as a rock" on the campaign trail. Trump has also repeatedly criticized Harris' racial identity, falsely saying she "turned Black." Democrats, and some Republicans

The Department of Justice on Friday sued Alabama and its top election official for violating the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 because the state made an effort to clean its voter rolls too close to Election Day. In mid-August, Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen had identified 3,251 individuals registered to vote in the state who were given noncitizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security and had instructed the boards of registrars in the state's 67 counties to inactivate and remove them from the voter rolls, a move that has reportedly "ensnared newly naturalized Americans." “I have been clear that I will not tolerate the participation of noncitizens

It was nowhere to be seen during the game. According to the New York Times, they were told by the Harris campaign that they couldn't do it because

Taylor Swift’s overall favorability among all registered voters fell from last year, decreasing from 40 percent in 2023 to 33 percent this year, according to an NBC News poll released Friday. While 16 percent had negative feelings about her in 2023, 27 percent say they do now. About 26 percent of independents have a positive attitude toward Swift, a drop from 34 percent in 2023. The NBC News poll is the latest survey to show that Swift’s endorsement hasn’t had the impact Democrats were hoping for.
