The killing of Hassan Nasrallah and the entire Hizballah high command, followed almost immediately by the killing of Nasrallah’s designated successor Hassan Khalil Yassin, could mean the end of Hizballah as a force to be reckoned with in Lebanon. Nasrallah’s death also strikes a serious blow to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s decades-long effort to gain hegemony over the entire Middle East.
Back in 2015, Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, explained that once Israel is destroyed, “the West’s hegemony and threats will be discredited” and “the hegemony of Iran will be promoted.” Iran had been working for years to promote that hegemony through

Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly arranged for a banner trolling former President Trump to fly over Bryant-Denny Stadium, where he is expected to make an appearance during Saturday’s SEC showdown between No. 2 Georgia and fourth-ranked Alabama.
The Harris campaign plans to launch a new ad during the game that needles Trump on the prospect of a second presidential debate, The Associated Press reported. But according to other reports, she’s also planning a flyover in Tuscaloosa. A plane with the message "Trump’s Punting on 2nd Debate" is expected to fly over the stadium during the primetime matchup, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

JERUSALEM/BEIRUT - Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has been killed, the Iran-backed group said on Saturday, confirming his death after the Israeli military said it had eliminated him in an airstrike in Beirut the day before.
His death marks a devastating blow to Hezbollah, as it reels from an intense campaign of Israeli attacks. It is also a huge blow to Iran, removing an influential ally who helped build Hezbollah into the linchpin of Tehran's constellation of allied groups in the Arab world. Hezbollah said in a statement that it would continue its battle against Israel "in support of Gaza and Palestine, and in defence of Lebanon and its steadfast

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican rival Donald Trump are in a tight race in the key states of Michigan and Wisconsin, according to an opinion poll by the New York Times and Siena College released on Saturday.
The NYT/Siena College poll found that Harris received 48% support amongst likely voters in Michigan with Trump garnering 47%, while in Wisconsin Harris holds 49% support to Trump's 47%.
The surveys were conducted by telephone between Sept. 21 to 26, where interviewers spoke with 688 likely voters in Michigan and 680 likely voters in Wisconsin.

When the smoke cleared, six buildings in the quarter of suburban Beirut targeted by Israeli warplanes were gone. They collapsed into themselves, subsumed beneath the underground bunker system that housed Hezbollah’s highest-ranking commanders. It will take days, perhaps weeks, to sift through the wreckage. But when the clearing operation is complete, the Israel Defense Forces believe the salvagers will have recovered the body of longtime Hezbollah commander Hassan Nasrallah. The IDF said early Saturday that Israel had “eliminated” Nasrallah and other commanders.
It would be difficult to overstate Nasrallah’s significance to the terrorist organization he led and the blow to it represented by his death.

This week, The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board provided a megaphone to what I’ve been asking for months: Is the Biden administration making excuses to regulate (or outright eliminate) pro-consumer healthcare groups just to bring us a step closer to socialized medicine?
On Sept. 20, Lina Khan and the Biden Federal Trade Commission did Big Pharma a solid by bringing a complaint against pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), groups that plenty of government agencies and private sector employers hire to challenge the drug companies into lowering their prices.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly yesterday. The prime minister’s office posted the YouTube video (below) on X Times of Israel has posted the text.
Diplomats of unfriendly nations left the room when Netanyahu took the floor. Like northern Israel, the room was mostly depopulated. Hezbollah is responsible for the depopulation of northern Israel as a result of its attacks on every day since October 8, when it joined Hamas’s war on Israel.
Those who left the room to protest Netanyahu did so as a result of no personal risk to themselves. Rather, the reason they departed was an anti-Semitic aversion

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved Friday’s airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon, from his hotel room in New York City prior to his speech to the United Nations General Assembly.
The Prime Minister’s Office released a photograph that it said showed Netanyahu approving the massive airstrike. The massive attack targeted Hezbollah’s underground headquarters in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut. It was not clear at the time of the photo’s release whether Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had survived the attack.
Netanyahu apparently delivered his address knowing that the attack was under way.

Today Kamala Harris visited the border in Arizona and proposed a tougher plan to limit illegal immigration. But of course she's also the current Vice President in the administration with one of if not the worst immigration records in US history. She is essentially promising that, if elected, she will clean up her own mess. This really ought to be embarrassing to all involved but she seems to be getting the serious headlines she wanted out of it.
Harris’s proposed executive action would build on President Joe Biden’s current policy of essentially closing the U.S. asylum system unless illegal border crossings stay below 1,500 daily crossings

Let's put it this way: no one's heard from the head of Hezbollah since the IDF struck its headquarters in Beirut a few hours ago. When the air strike took place, Israel took care to note that they had no confirmation that Hassan Nasrallah got killed in the attack.
Since then, though, silence has spoken volumes. If Nasrallah had survived, and especially if he hadn't been at their Dahiyeh underground complex, he surely would have gotten word out shortly after the attack.
Lebanese media started off reporting that Nasrallah survived and that a statement would get issued shortly. That has changed, however:

Donald Trump says newly released statistics from Immigration and Customs Enforcement validate what he has been saying for years: The Biden-Harris administration has allowed convicted murderers and other criminals to run free across the nation.
Speaking at a campaign stop in Michigan, the former president said news media could no longer hide from the fact that President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have turned a blind eye to violent illegal immigrants being released into the country.
“I can finally look at them and say ‘I told you s,’ to the fake news,” Mr. Trump said. “These are hard, tough, vicious criminals that are free to roam in our country.”

Vice President Kamala Harris loves to say that former President Donald Trump is responsible for “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” It’s an irresponsible comparison for a country that has survived Pearl Harbor, Sept. 11, and, just in the past few years, nationwide rioting, onerous lockdowns, forced vaccination and masking, assassination attempts, lawfare to remove the leading presidential candidate, and more than 11 million known illegal border crossings.
So, while I do not agree with Harris that our democracy is so fragile to be blown off course by hooliganism in Washington, it is true that it is not impenetrable. The question is: What could actually dismantle it?
