Kamala Harris’ Pennsylvania Problem

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania — America’s second Catholic president was visiting his childhood neighborhood in April, when he employed a bit of ritualized Irish Democratic politicking. “I’m Joe Biden,” he introduced himself to a patron at a small coffee shop gathering in Green Ridge, long a bastion of Irish-Catholic families who work in law and politics. “I went to St. Paul’s.” (Snip) Biden isn’t wildly popular here. But as a native son, Biden is viewed through a nostalgic lens. To many in this once staunchly Democratic region, he embodies an older iteration of the party that was closely tied to organized labor

Comments:

Biden's nominal connection to Old Pennsylvania is gone. Voters cannot conjure up any excuse to keep voting 'D'.

My grandparents were JFK democrats. They is no such party today. FKH is a wild eyed, tax and spend, open border, power hungry, slippery and lying west coast liberal who has no concern except for power and the money that follows it. Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago? A simple yes or no answer and she cannot answer it because the answer is yes. She will screw us over the moment she says the last "I will". Kick her to the curb. She sucked in 2019 and she sucks even more now. She is the poster child for DEI.

OSLO/BUDAPEST/LONDON - Bulgaria and Norway became new focal points on Thursday of a global hunt for who supplied Hezbollah with the thousands of pagers that exploded in Lebanon this week in a deadly blow to the militant group. Security sources said that Israel was responsible for the explosions on Tuesday that killed 12 people, injured more than 2,300 and raised the stakes in a growing conflict between the two sides. Israel has not directly commented on the attacks. How and with whose help the pager attack was carried out was not yet known, although so far there were possible

The Land of 10,000 Lakes may not have seemed like an electoral battleground when the state’s governor got picked for the presidential ticket. But now it may be a different matter, per a MinnPost-Embold Research poll, which shows the narrowest gap in any Minnesota survey between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, who picked favorite son Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate. And independent voters are the reason. Harris leads by just over 4 points, 48.8% to 44.6%, which is an even narrower margin than the 5-point lead she had in a poll a Minnesota TV station released two weeks

Today Kamala Harris visited the border in Arizona and proposed a tougher plan to limit illegal immigration. But of course she's also the current Vice President in the administration with one of if not the worst immigration records in US history. She is essentially promising that, if elected, she will clean up her own mess. This really ought to be embarrassing to all involved but she seems to be getting the serious headlines she wanted out of it. Harris’s proposed executive action would build on President Joe Biden’s current policy of essentially closing the U.S. asylum system unless illegal border crossings stay below 1,500 daily crossings
