Joe Biden finally returned from his never-ending vacation for a meeting in the Situation Room about the situation in Israel and the killing of an American hostage. Instead of condemning Hamas for killing an American, he criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said he hadn't done enough. That took some gall since it's been Biden who has stood in his way of finishing off Hamas.
But when he came out of the meeting, he had nothing more than what he's said for months. They were "very close" to a deal, yada yada yada. So basically, it looked like a photo op

Kamala Harris seems to have learned something from Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton: how to make things up to appeal to your audience.
Hillary Clinton pulled out the hot sauce story and a fake Southern accent. But Biden plunged headlong into fantasy, specializing in phony stories to connect with his audiences. He was everything to everyone instead of just being himself. It's great evidence of his basic insecurity.
I'm not sure what's going on with Harris' changing accents. Some think it's about appealing to the audience; others speculate on other reasons she might be behaving oddly. I wrote about this before, and you can see the wildly different comparison

Senator Elizabeth Warren apparently calls this the "tax doom loop" which is a pretty twisted way of framing things. The "tax doom" in this case refers to the fact that, given a choice, most Americans would rather not pay higher taxes. As for the "loop" part of the formula, that arises from the fact that we have a two party system in which the Republican Party is able to run on this issue of taxes and occasionally even cut taxes, leaving progressive Democrats with a major problem. How can they keep spending money they don't have?
It goes like this: Republicans pass huge tax cuts that are, at first, only temporary.

When then-candidate Donald Trump engaged in a war of words with Gold Star father Khizir Khan in 2016, the news media savaged Trump. The Clinton campaign featured Khan at the Democratic National Convention. Many on the center-right, myself included, publicly criticized Trump -- or at least questioned whether that particular battle was a constructive one. Eight years later, multiple Gold Star families are now responding passionately and harshly to a public statement from Kamala Harris, and many journalists who lavished Absolute Moral Authority upon Mr. Khan are either ignoring them or even implying they're liars.

The Justice Department is charging several top-ranking Hamas terrorists for their role in perpetrating the October 7, 2023, mass slaughter of Israeli civilians that jump-started the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind October 7, and five other senior Hamas officials are facing federal terrorism charges for orchestrating the October 7 attacks, the Justice Department announced Tuesday. This will be the first official step towards holding Hamas criminally accountable almost a year after the massacre took place. Hamas terrorists killed more than 1,000 innocent civilians on October 7, including over 40 American citizens.

New York— U.S. stocks tumbled Tuesday to their worst day since an early August sell-off, as a week full of updates on the economy got off to a discouragingly weak start.

Meanwhile, the threat of a destructive post-election lame duck session that will empower Democrats and pave the way for all manner of legislative sins looms ahead.
Republicans can use the September 30 funding deadline to tackle both of these issues by attaching the SAVE Act to a funding extension into 2025.

A policy that allows school staff to keep a child’s transgender status a secret does not violate a parent’s fundamental rights under the New Hampshire constitution, the state’s Supreme Court has held. The conventional wisdom is that Kamala Harris is trying to separate herself from the Biden-Harris administration's record. On the economy, the border crisis, and even Israel, Kamala desperately wants to brand her potential presidency as a "new way forward" and turn the hyphen in "Biden-Harris administration" into a ten-foot pole.
So why is Joe Biden joining her on the campaign trail? Biden took a break from his vacation to appear on stage with Kamala Harris in Pittsburgh. Perhaps the theory is that "Scranton Joe" will help her in the Keystone State, where recent polling for her doesn't look so good.

The latest craze among lazy people is “quiet quitting.” That means they quit working, but don’t tell their company. By doing it that way, they continue to collect their paychecks.
It’s easy to “quiet quit” in an age when objective measures of productivity are out of fashion because they reflect badly on bad employees whose feelings must be spared, and it’s especially easy when employees “work” from home.
In my opinion, it’s theft.

The Kamala Harris campaign is collapsing across the board. That was the case even before the horrific news from San Francisco.
That news is that the first-round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers was just shot in broad daylight in a “safe” and “upscale” section of San Francisco. As the initial information about that shocking crime filtered out, I heard from three political operatives that this would reflect very badly on Kamala Harris. Their immediate reasoning is that former President Donald J. In her one and only interview of the presidential campaign, Kamala Harris claimed she is “very proud” of the economy she and Joe Biden have presided over for almost four years.
Her rosy view of their management of inflation echoes Biden’s tone-deaf boasts about what a great job he’s done, while Americans struggle to pay for groceries.
“I’m very proud of the work that we have done that has brought inflation down to less than 3%,” Harris told CNN last week.

Irish teacher Enoch Burke has been jailed for a third time after he was arrested outside the school that sacked him for refusing to 'call a boy a girl'.
The Evangelical Christian was yesterday placed inside a Garda vehicle outside Wilson's Hospital School in Ireland's Co Westmeath. [SNIP] Justice Michael Quinn jailed him for contempt of court after the history and German teacher refused to give a 'yes' or 'no' answer when asked if he intended to return to the Westmeath school again.
As the order was passed, Mr Burke told Justice Quinn: 'You will answer to God for imprisoning me for my religious beliefs.'

He can’t help himself.
Joe Biden traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to participate in a Labor Day campaign event with Kamala Harris.
“Harris and Biden are scheduled to talk around 4:45 p.m. at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 5 on Pittsburgh’s South Side,” CBS News reported.

Biden traveled to Pittsburgh separately.
After taking more than two weeks off for an extended vacation, Joe Biden landed in Pittsburgh, immediately beelined to the baby, and went in for a sniff.

James Talarico is a Democrat Texas rep. and a ‘progressive’ Christian.
During a recent appearance on MSNBC, he lectured Christians who support Trump, complaining that they are ignoring Jesus and worshipping at the feet of Donald Trump. That’s not very Christian of him, is it?
Apparently no one has explained to Talarico that many Christians support Trump because he respects their beliefs, unlike the left which does nothing but demean and insult Christians.
From Twitchy:
Listen to how he tells MSNBC he voting for Kamala Harris over the impeached insurrectionist, convicted felon, and adjudicated rapist Donald Trump “out of love for his neighbor.”

The Philadelphia Eagles made headlines after advertisements that seemed to depict the team endorsing Kamala Harris appeared plastered all around the City of Brotherly Love on Monday.
The misleading ads showcased Harris in an Eagles uniform and included text that falsely claimed to be an official endorsement from the popular NFL franchise. Additionally, a URL link directed viewers to the Philadelphia Eagles’ official voting information page.
Fans of the team quickly took to social media to express their outrage over the team’s seemingly shocking political stance.

Teamsters Union President Sean O'Brien is not a happy man.
The Teamsters were not given a speaking slot at the Democratic National Convention. The big Democrat brains (yes, I know) organizing that event won't tell Mr. O'Brien why they didn't give him a speaking slot. His members, he maintains, are not happy about that. [Tweet, video]
That's funny, because only a few weeks earlier, Sean O'Brien spoke at the Republican National Convention, becoming the first Teamsters Union president to do so - ever.
O’Brien said that since he took the union’s top job, he’s been happy to find growing support from Republicans,
