At dinner last night with an old friend in Vienna, he proposed that many officials in the European Union are now suffering from the syndrome that Dietrich Bonhoeffer described in the 1943 essay “Von der Dummheit” (“On Stupidity”). As Bonhoeffer described it, under the pressure of ideology and propaganda, many people—including those blessed with high native intelligence—may be seized by stupidity. Literally, they find themselves doing incredibly stupid things and participating in incredibly stupid enterprises that make no sense to people of ordinary prudence who have, for whatever reasons, remained immune to the stupidity contagion.

I was suddenly reminded of the film when thinking about the way the mainstream media work and the odd way those of us not reliant on them now inhabit an entirely different reality to those of us who do get our understanding of the world purely from mainstream sources.
The mainstream media of course selectively report the news. They constantly try to focus attention in one direction, and divert attention from another direction. Everything they allow to be seen is filtered through a lens of perpetual and oppressive bias.
A federally funded research project is actively recruiting "transgender" children to study the "mental health benefits" of puberty blockers, as part of a nationwide push to reshape public policy on pediatric "gender care."
Three major U.S. children's hospitals, which all house gender clinics, are co-conducting this clinical study: Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio; Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois; and Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Since 2021, the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), an agency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has pumped over $3 million into the multi-site, longitudinal study, which was recently renewed for the 2024 fiscal year, per a repository of NIH-funded portfolios

Yahya Sinwar has been named the new head of Hamas’s political division, and congratulations are in order—mostly for Israel, which can see in Sinwar’s promotion the continuing fruits of its methodical dismantlement of Hamas.
There are three reasons for the West to find encouragement in this latest turn of events.
First, Hamas’s leadership bench is depleted, and Israel’s careful decapitation of its branches has been effective.

I did not have Christian revival on my dance card for the new millennium, but God in heaven, (literally) that seems to be what is happening across the known world. In every country and state, people are amassing in thousands, tens of thousands in various outpourings of faith. I have dozens of two minute videos to prove it. Of course no one is reporting it. The Olympics Opening Ceremony was another attempt of our vicious leadership to spike violence; instead we have seemingly spontaneous crowds on the streets of every city praising Jesus. The Olympic Village is woken up every morning with this hymn by the team from Figi:

It told me that Joseph R. Biden received 81 million votes, and it told me that Donald J. Trump received 74 million votes. Three million people also voted for the Communists, the Greens, or themselves. Well, it told me that at the time of the 2020 election, there were 168 million registered voters.

Speech can be suppressed in several ways. The left’s favorite and most often used suppression method is to cast conservatives as “unworthy” of speaking. They shout us down.
Another suppression tactic for online speech is to organize boycotts of the speaker’s sponsors. By way of example, there have been several attempts to demonetize “The Dan Bongino Show,”with limited to no success. There isn’t a conservative podcaster that hasn’t been subject to sponsor intimidation, with the intent of taking away a podcaster’s or website's source of income.

This is an official Kamala Harris campaign video. It is hard to say what the point is. Kamala ridicules white people for eating food that isn’t spicy. The commercial is a dialogue between Harris and Tim Walz. Walz plays the white guy who eats “white guy tacos.” Walz is the bottom end of this relationship: he humiliates himself by being subservient to Harris, on behalf of (obviously inferior) white people: (X) Playing to idiotic racial stereotypes is commonly known as racism. One wonders how Walz’s fellow Minnesotans will react to his claim that we don’t eat any spices more exotic than pepper.
