Former President Donald Trump on Monday confirmed he would return to Butler, Pa., in October ahead of the presidential election.
The Pennsylvania town marked the site of an assassination attempt against him during a July 13 rally. He previously confirmed that he would return to the town at some point, but confirmed plans for an October event during an X space with platform owner Elon Musk.
"We're going back to Butler, and we're gonna go back in October," he said. "We're all set up, and we're the people are fantastic. It's a big it's a great area."

In a stunning display of hypocrisy and double standards, CBS News attacked former President Donald Trump when he announced his “no tax on tips” policy proposal in June and then suddenly became uncritical of the idea when Vice President Kamala Harris copied Trump on Saturday.
“Vice President Kamala Harris is rolling out a new policy position, saying she’ll fight to end taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” CBS announced in a Monday X post. However, when Trump first announced the policy proposal in June, CBS adopted a strikingly different tone.
“Former President Donald Trump’s vow to stop taxing tips would cost the federal government up to $250 billion

Government overspending and foolish Democrat economic policies are the number one concern for Americans ahead of this election, as Donald Trump and Elon Muck emphasized Monday.
With basic food items like bacon costing twice, four times, or five times more than under Trump, as Trump himself said during his interview with Musk on Twitter/X, the economy is paramount in 2024. Musk, himself a businessman, proposed slashing government spending and major deregulation. Trump agreed, saying he wants tax cuts both for citizens and businesses, reduction of debt, and especially energy independence by drilling the “liquid gold,” oil. Voters “want the American dream back,” Trump said, and he vowed

Former President Donald Trump talked about America’s energy production during an X Spaces interview with Elon Musk on Monday, focusing on how the country can compete with China on artificial intelligence (AI).
During the interview, Trump said that a Kamala Harris administration would enact harsh energy policies by pushing “Green Energy” with windmills and solar panels while hurting oil and fracking production. Later, the former president talked about artificial intelligence, which Elon Musk has been a proponent of, and how the country will not be able to compete with China on the technology if America’s energy production lowers.

Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) said Monday on MSNBC’s “Inside” that Vice President Kamala Harris could possibly win the state of Texas in November.
Host Jen Psaki said, “I want to ask you, you’ve seen a lot of presidential candidates run. Vice President Harris and Tim Walz are clearly creating a lot of excitement out there. Do you think this is enough? Is Texas a pipe dream or should people hold their hope out for Texas in 2024 or is it going to take a little longer?”
O’Rourke said, “The thing is you now see Democrats smiling. There is joy in our party. There’s electricity moving through the system. Yes

As my colleague Bonchie reported, Axios reporter Sara Fischer appeared on CNN to complain about former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump having an unfettered microphone with Elon Musk on X.
The Monday night conversation hails Trump's return to the X (formerly Twitter) platform where he was unceremoniously booted almost four years before, and it has the entire legacy media complex shook. As my colleague streiff also reported, a Washington Post reporter asked the Biden Press Secretary whether this interview could be stopped, because "misinformation," or something...

The stealing class has figured out that it’s a working-class election.
You can tell by what they pilfer.
By “stealing class,” I mean the Harris-Walz campaign in particular, and the party of big government in general.
They exist, and flourish, not by creating new wealth and ideas, but by stealing the produce of others.
In Harris’ case, that means shamelessly stealing Donald Trump’s “no taxes on tips” proposal and floating it as if it were her idea, something made less plausible by Kamala’s lifelong history of not having original ideas.
But it’s meant to show that she cares about the working class. In Walz’s case, what he stole was valor, posing as

One Israeli male hostage was killed by his guard and two women captives were seriously wounded in two separate incidents in Gaza, the spokesperson for Hamas' armed al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, said on Monday.
Abu Ubaida blamed the incident on what he described as Israeli "massacres" against Palestinians.
"The enemy government [Israel] bears full responsibility for these massacres and the resulting reactions that affect the lives of Zionist prisoners," Abu Ubaida said in a statement posted on Telegram.
He said a committee has been formed to investigate, and findings will be announced later, adding efforts are underway to save the two wounded hostages.

n a move many thought wasn't contractually possible, Donald Trump has fully returned to X after a years-long hiatus that was only interrupted by a single fundraising post in 2023.
On Monday the former president bombarded the platform with campaign messaging indicating that this isn't a one-off situation. It was a surprising, yet welcome shift in strategy in the face of Joe Biden being forced out of the presidential race, a development that has scrambled the presidential race.
Until this point, it was widely assumed that Trump couldn't post on X due obligations to his social media platform, Truth Social. That appears to not be the case.

On Coney Island, a woman is raped at knifepoint while her boyfriend is beaten with a pipe by a second criminal:
Two migrants were arrested for a knifepoint rape in Coney Island – including one who was released from jail less than two months ago after sexually assaulting a different woman at a city-funded shelter, authorities said Monday.
“Migrant” is the currently approved euphemism for illegal immigrant.
Daniel Davon-Bonilla, 24, of Nicaragua, allegedly grabbed a 46-year-old woman and threw her to the ground before raping her while holding a knife to her throat Sunday around 9 p.m. under the Riegelmann Boardwalk, cops and the sources said.

A report released Monday by USC’s Understanding America Study (UAS) suggests the use of hyperbolic terms to describe global warming has no effect on people’s perceptions of the urgency of climate change.
The study notes that climate crusaders like the UK’s Guardian newspaper have officially opted for expressions like “climate crisis” and “climate emergency” in an attempt to raise concern and convey urgency, yet it would seem that such efforts are in vain.
“Instead of ‘climate change’ the preferred terms are ‘climate emergency, crisis or breakdown’ and ‘global heating’ is favoured over ‘global warming,’ although the original terms are not banned,” the Guardian stated in 2019

Few candidates have had as successful a campaign launch as Vice President Kamala Harris, raising hundreds of millions, moving up in polls and energizing the base. The Harris campaign notched an additional $36 million in the 24 hours after announcing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate, and as the Democratic ticket swung across the country, it drew large, raucous crowds.
After three weeks of unbelievable momentum, Harris now faces the huge — and historically unusual — challenge of sustaining the energy of a fresh campaign for a 90-day sprint into Election Day. She’s growing into her new role as she faces economic uncertainty, a politically volatile
