Sen. J.D. Vance dove head first into the media onslaught Sunday as he fielded questions from reporters on numerous talk shows.
In a pre-recorded interview that aired Sunday on ABC News, former President Donald Trump’s running mate, said he was “extremely confident” in their chances of winning the election.
When asked by host Jonathan Karl how the duo’s mass deportation plan would work, Mr. Vance said they would “start with what’s achievable.” “I think that if you deport a lot of violent criminals and, frankly, if you make it harder to hire illegal labor, which undercuts the wages of American workers, I think you go a lot of the way

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) appeared on 770 WABC’s “The Cats Roundtable” Sunday with host John Catsimatidis and dropped a bombshell: the Obamas are actually running Kamala Harris’ campaign behind the scenes.
And they were running the White House before that, he alleges:
If you’re watching the campaign now, some of Obama’s [key people such as] David Plouffe and others are now working on the campaign.
You’re getting the Obamas shifting from running the White House to now running this campaign.
The 44th president's former staff has their fingerprints all over the place:

Kamala Harris’s rise in many polls since the vice president replaced President Joe Biden as the Democrats’ candidate for 2024 is attributable to her becoming the so-called “generic” Democratic candidate, the New York Times reports.
Though the term “generic” can sound like a put-down, it is actually a coveted status, because “generic” candidates who simply reflect partisan loyalty often poll better than real candidates with real-world records and personalities.
Biden had been polling far below a “generic Democrat” because of disapproval, even among Democrats, about his job performance, and because of concerns about his age. But Harris, still relatively unknown, has rallied the party:

Vice President Kamala Harris continues to have no policies on her website — despite being in the presidential race for three weeks, and in office for nearly four years.
As Breitbart News noted last week, there were no policies on the website — even after changes were made to add Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to the ticket (and the site).
Harris is supposedly going to be rolling out some policies in the coming week. As a U.S. Senator from 2019 to 2021, she achieved the most left-wing record of any member of the upper chamber — exceeding even socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
She embraced “Medicare for All,”

It’s been a few weeks since Joe Biden’s bombshell announcement that he was abandoning his reelection campaign and was endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic standard bearer, and he’s mostly been invisible since then. He has finally made an appearance, however, sitting for a CBS interview that aired Sunday where he describes how the Dem elite essentially initiated a coup to shove him to the sidelines.
It would seem that former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi is the real power in Washington, not the president:

The United States is pursuing a high-stakes diplomatic gambit to persuade Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to relinquish power, offering amnesty to him and his top lieutenants in exchange for a peaceful transition, according to people familiar with the matter. This bold move comes as overwhelming evidence emerges that Maduro lost last month's election by a significant margin.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal, US officials have discussed pardons for Maduro and key regime figures who face Justice Department indictments. One source indicated that the US has put "everything on the table" to convince Maduro to step down before his term ends in January.

The thing about putting lipstick on a pig is that underneath the lipstick, you've still got a pig. That's the Kamala Harris campaign right now, at least according to a new report on the internal tensions roiling her operation.
There's no doubt the vice president turned presidential nominee without winning a single primary vote has some momentum. There is a sheer jubilance among Democrats simply because they have someone other than Joe Biden to vote for. Much of what is bolstering Harris isn't organic, though. It's the result of a relentless press campaign to redefine her as a talented,

Former President Donald Trump’s campaign said Saturday that some of its internal communications had been hacked.
The acknowledgment came after POLITICO began receiving emails from an anonymous account with documents from inside Trump’s operation.
The campaign blamed “foreign sources hostile to the United States,” citing a Microsoft report on Friday that Iranian hackers “sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.” Microsoft did not identify the campaign targeted by the email and declined to comment Saturday. POLITICO has not independently verified the identity of the hacker or their motivation, and a Trump campaign spokesperson, Steven Cheung,

Don’t let their sexy flannel shirts and those peppy Nirvana lyrics fool you: The 1990s were actually a moody time. The feminist intelligentsia were fiercely defending Bill Clinton’s cigar-tinted mayhem; America’s beer-drinkers had yet to lose the Culture War to the pot-dweebs; a young Dwayne Johnson was demanding we smell stuff; and Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin, Steny Hoyer, Jim Clyburn, Maxine Waters, and Bernie Sanders were all calling conservatives racists while pocketing taxpayer dollars by the fistful (well, some things never change).
The 1990s marked the end of one era and the beginning of another:

Labour Party politician Councillor Ricky Jones spoke to a "Peace Rally" on Wednesday and proceeded to call for the killing of "far-right rioters." Mr. Jones was, indeed, suspended by the Labor Party, but other speakers at the "Peace Rally" who also called for violence against the right drew laughter and applause from the crowd.
It's unclear just how much of the rioting in Great Britain last week was carried out by the "right-wing" and how much was conducted by other parties, including Muslim mobs. By midweek, the authorities were predicting "hundreds of riots." Either they were misinformed or it was a hoax. Most of the "riots"

According to security sources, Sinwar's movement area, like other senior Hamas officials in the organization, is getting smaller and smaller.
Friday's operation in Khan Yunis, as well as the activity in the center of the Gaza Strip and Rafah, may advance the IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) to their primary goal: the elimination of senior Hamas leadership. In fact, one security source estimates that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is running out of places to hide.
Sinwar is almost alone at the top of Hamas. His close friends in the senior military ranks of the organization, as well as the senior officials, have been eliminated or have disappeared:

With cigarette prices at an all-time high in the Gaza Strip, the IDF has used the opportunity to incentivize disdain and distrust in Hamas among the residents of Gaza.
The IDF dropped cigarettes from the sky over the coastal area of Khan Yunis of the Gaza Strip on Thursday along with messages warning locals against the dangers Hamas, N12 reported on Friday.
While the IDF has been known to drop leaflets consistently before striking, requesting that the public evacuate the area immediately for their own safety, some have been used to offer rewards for Hamas leaders.
