The Nasdaq Composite index fell 2.2% on Friday, putting it on track to confirm it is in a correction following concerns about pricey Big Tech valuations and a cooling economy. Hit by softer-than-expected job reports and disappointing forecasts from Amazon and Intel, the Nadsaq’s latest decline leaves it down 10.2% from its record high close of 18,647.45 points on July 10. The Nasdaq 100 index was also on track to confirm a correction territory from its all-time closing high of 20,675.38 points. An index or stock is widely considered to be in a correction, signaling investor pessimism, when it closes 10% or more below its previous record closing high.

Trump Rakes in $160 Million in September,
Set to Increase Spending It in Swing States

We're getting into the home stretch of the 2024 presidential election, and with just over one month to go, former president Donald Trump is seeing a surge in cash to help fund his final push. According to his most recent filings, the Republican nominee collected about $160 million in September, and it is likely most of the cash will be spent in key swing states, particularly on ad buys. Trump’s official campaign, joint fundraising committees, and the Republican National Committee reported that 96 percent of the donations were under $200, and the average September donation was around $60.

Jazz wrote about a new NBC poll over the weekend which showed Donald Trump was overperforming with Latino voters. Harris still won Latinos 54-40 as a group but that margin is much narrower than it has been in the last four elections. This week there have been a couple of stories about Latino voters in swing states who seem to be shifting toward the Republican Party. In Nevada for instance. President Biden barely squeezed out a victory in Nevada, in part by winning 60% of the Latino vote, but polls suggest Donald Trump has stronger Latino support than previous Republican campaigns.

Elon Musk secretly funded a conservative political group in recent years, according to four people familiar with his donations, illustrating quiet financial support for right-wing causes even before the billionaire entrepreneur in July endorsed former President Donald Trump's bid for re-election. Two of the people familiar with the donations told Reuters that Musk's contributions to the organization, Building America's Future, had started by 2022. One of those people and a third source said the donations amounted to millions of dollars, significantly boosting a group whose advertisements and social media campaigns have criticized the Biden administration and progressive political platforms of the sort that Musk himself has increasingly denounced.

Before vice presidential contenders JD Vance and Tim Walz so much as opened their mouths on the debate stage in New York tonight, they both started talking to me. No, I’m not a telepath. I’m a body language expert with over 50 years of experience — 25 of which I spent with the FBI, where I served in the national security division’s elite behavioral analysis program. I’ve used my expertise in the endlessly subtle science of nonverbal communication to help ferret out spies and put away criminals. Tonight, I used it to figure out what Vance and Walz were really thinking and feeling

X's freewheeling Grok AI is responsible for letting users countless Commie Kamala memes, and they're proving effective enough that MSNBC and Democrats (but I repeat myself) are having hissy fits trying to force Grok to stop them and Harris to fight them. Is the urge to shut down and shut up all opposition just a sort of gag issue for the Left, or are they particularly hysterical this time around because the Commie Kamala memes are proving effective at defining the candidate who refuses to define herself? Yes. Let's talk about the censorship reflex before we get to the part about why Commie Kamala has Democrats so worried.

I think most of the people got that JD Vance beat Tim Walz in the VP debate on Tuesday -- and it wasn't even close. The focus groups and even the liberal media snap polls all seemed to be for Vance, so you know there was no real question about the matter. That said, of course, MSNBC was losing their minds trying to figure out how to spin it. Nicolle Wallace had a meltdown. She tried to claim that by correcting the female moderators about an immigration issue, that he was "mansplaining." Talk about copium. Jen Psaki even said that they should "free Walz" and let him "cry."

Tuesday’s vice presidential debate between Republican Sen. JD Vance of Ohio and Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz brought together two candidates with different visions for the future of America. Their body language also sharply contrasted with one another as Vance espoused a sense of calmness and command of the issues, whereas Walz appeared nervous and overly fidgety at times, although he did manage to find his stride later in the debate, body language expert Carole Lieberman, M.D., tells Fox News Digital. "What JD Vance had that made him most likable and most trusted was that he was authentic… you could just say it in one word. JD Vance was authentic.

JD Vance turned in an excellent performance last night. He was the most coherent and, I think, the most likable of any of the four candidates who have taken the debate stage this cycle. In comparison, Tim Walz presented a sad spectacle. He got off to a terrible start, visibly nervous and largely incoherent. He got a little stronger as the evening went on, but the damage was done. And his “I am a knucklehead” will go down in presidential debate annals. But since people don’t care much about vice presidents, the real targets in the debate were Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

The debate really depressed me. It wasn’t J.D. Vance, who gave the best debate performance of any political candidate in decades. Nor was it Tim Walz because I knew going in that he was, as he described himself, a “knucklehead.” It wasn’t even the biased harpies who called themselves moderators because that was to be expected (although they angered me). What depressed me was that our political discourse has devolved into watching candidates get asked stupid questions so that they can give canned statements for two minutes and then bicker for a few seconds with each other. Let’s start with the general review.

Israel declared United Nations secretary-general António Guterres persona non grata on Wednesday, barring him from setting foot in the country because of the deep-seated anti-Israel bias he displayed after Iran attacked the Jewish state. Guterres responded to the Iranian barrage of 181 ballistic missiles on Tuesday by vaguely condemning the “broadening of the Middle East conflict” without mentioning Iran by name. “Anyone who cannot unequivocally condemn Iran’s heinous attack on Israel, as nearly all the countries of the world have done, does not deserve to set foot on Israeli soil,”

I don't know what the viewership numbers were on the vice presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, but if they're not high they should have been because that was one of the best debates I've ever watched in my time as a political junkie (which goes back a looong time). Vance, as RedState previously reported, wiped the floor not just with Walz but also the CBS News debate moderators, who did what they weren't supposed to do at least twice in "fact-checking" Vance, only to have him refuse to be silenced by fact-checking them right back.

Here are the winners and losers in Tuesday’s vice presidential debate: WINNER Sen. J.D. Vance. Donald Trump’s running mate was confident and clearly articulated his arguments, which were usually concise and on point. He was effective in addressing viewers at home, as when he acknowledged that many viewers are worried “that the American dream is unattainable.” Mr. Vance also easily brushed aside what seemed like one-sided, and unexpected, fact-checking of him by CBS’s moderators. He quickly turned it to his advantage in a discussion of illegal immigration. The Republican was masterful in a disarming way of paying backhanded compliments to the Democratic ticket.

The piece, written by body language expert Joe Navarro, explains: One of the first bits of nonverbal communication to appear in the debate was on JD Vance’s face: his beard. As POLITICO Magazine has noted before, Vance is the first White House wannabe to wear facial hair in 80 years.

Washington— Donald Trump laid the groundwork to try to overturn the 2020 election even before he lost, knowingly pushed false claims of voter fraud and “resorted to crimes” in his failed bid to cling to power, according to a newly unsealed court filing from prosecutors that lays out fresh details from the landmark criminal case against the former president. The filing from special counsel Jack Smith’s team offers the most comprehensive view to date of what prosecutors intend to prove if the case charging Trump with conspiring to overturn the election reaches trial. Though a months-long congressional investigation and the indictment itself have chronicled in stark detail Trump’s efforts to undo

Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz stunned watchers of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate as he nervously fidgeted, frowned and even called himself a “knucklehead” — while his Republican counterpart, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, gave a steady and lawyerly presentation and was widely seen as the victor. The largely good-natured forum, hosted by CBS News, featured the two candidates agreeing with each other repeatedly and expressing warm personal sentiments — avoiding the blistering personal attacks that were part of both presidential debates earlier this year. Walz, 60, who has honed a folksy demeanor on the campaign trail, was noticeably nervous and misspoke repeatedly as he wrung his hands, took frantic notes,

Some things are true — for collectivist communists and individualist capitalists, for all people, regardless of who they are. For decades now, Americans have been inundated with propaganda that the only entity that cares for them is found in the Democrat party, as collectivism has been promoted as America’s savior and individualism and individual liberty have been castigated as “selfish” and self-serving. But although there is no shame in looking out for one’s own interests, there is plenty of shame in it when you put the entire population and the nation at risk in the process, which is precisely what the International Longshoreman’s Association is doing,
