Shocking new footage from the assassination attempt on Donald Trump shows local cops with guns drawn surrounding the building where Thomas Crooks opened fire — fully two minutes and 10 seconds before the shooting.
The video later shows a barrage of gunfire, and then the crowd’s reaction to Crooks being shot and killed by the Secret Service, with one witness commenting that it must have been a headshot because of the “big poof of hair.”
As the video unfolds, Trump can be heard in the background speaking to the crowd at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13 — but no attempt was made to get him off the stage.

The New York Times reports that Vice President Kamala Harris’s advocacy for far-left policies on the 2019 campaign trail could imperil her 2024 bid for the Oval Office.
Just days into her candidacy — after President Joe Biden was reportedly forced out as the presumptive Democrat nominee amid a behind-the-scenes pressure campaign from top Democrats, donors, and Hollywood elites — Republicans have shown they are ready for Harris’s candidacy. As Times reporter Reid Epstein noted Monday, several videos and policy visions that Harris, who has been an elected official since 2004, espoused in her last bid for the presidency have already come back to “haunt” her.

Joe Biden on Monday delivered remarks at the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act during a visit to the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas.
Biden told long-winded, insane stories about his early days in politics.
He’s completely shot.
“You get engaged and you want to change things so I kept trying to change the Democrat party in my state which is very conservative and then a group of people came to me and as my senator knows Chris Coons came to me and said, ‘look we want you to run for state senate,’ and I said, ‘I can’t. I can’t go to Dover all the time.

Polling shows that Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (OH) is more popular than presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris, shattering the establishment media’s narrative.
CNN senior political data reporter Harry Enten recently said he does not “understand” why former President Donald Trump chose Vance as his running mate, claiming that Vance’s net favorability is subpar. However, according to Wall Street Journal polling, Vance is more popular than Harris. The survey shows that 42 percent of registered voters in the poll view Vance favorably, while 44 percent see him unfavorably.
In contrast, 52 percent view Harris unfavorably,

Vice President Kamala Harris is taking a page from the Clinton/Biden playbook regarding the press at their campaign events. Harris is in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, one of the areas that will determine who will clinch the Keystone State in 2024, with Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. And they’re not allowing the press to ask attendees questions, roping them in a pen a la Hillary Clinton. The Associated Press’ Steve Peoples reported on the ground conditions there:

Is this a threat?
Joe Biden landed in Austin, Texas on Monday afternoon ahead of remarks at the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act during a visit to the LBJ Presidential Library.
Reporters shouted questions as Biden stood on the tarmac.
One reporter asked Joe Biden about House Speaker Mike Johnson’s “dead on arrival” comment about his push to reform the US Supreme Court. Joe Biden proposed a radical overhaul to the US Supreme Court – an equal and separate branch of government.

Harvard University has canceled a summer program with a Palestinian university whose faculty and students have endorsed and collaborated with Hamas and other terror groups, a spokesman told The Daily Wire.
Birzeit University, which called for “glory for the martyrs” after Hamas’s October 7 terrorist massacre in Israel, was slated to host Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s “Palestine Social Medicine Course” from July to August. But the school has moved the program to Jordan, a spokesman told The Daily Wire, “due to security concerns in the West Bank.”

Vice President Kamala Harris’s first fundraiser — occurring after Democrats informally coronated her as the Democrat nominee — was largely a dud, failing to raise close to what former President Donald Trump’s running mate, JD Vance (R-OH), raised in a single luncheon event.
The Massachusetts event at the Colonial Theatre drew about 750 people. While it was planned prior to Biden dropping out of the race, it seems Harris’s involvement failed to create a new breath of enthusiasm — at least, according to the fundraising numbers.

Vice presidential nominee JD Vance (R-OH) is not fazed by Democrats attacking him or calling him “weird,” noting that it all comes with the “price of admission” to serve the country.
Democrats have attempted to attack Vance as “weird” — a script that conservatives completely flipped over the weekend, showcasing in post after post the actual weirdness of the Democrats. Those included images of President Joe Biden appearing to sniff a child’s head, Democrats wearing odd outfits, Sam Brinton, a cross-dressing former Department of Energy official who has been accused of stealing women’s luggage, Dylan Mulvaney dressed as a woman, Vice President Kamala Harris high-fiving a drag queen, and a bare-chested

As Jim Hoft reported over the weekend, X owner Elon Musk shared an epic parody video of Kamala Harris.
The AI-generated video, put together by the account @MrReaganUSA, highlights Harris’s strengths,” including her being the “ultimate diversity hire,” a “deep state puppet,” her word salads, her imitation of Barack Obama, and more.
Thanks to Musk, Mr. Reagan’s hilarious parody has racked up over 130 million views.
(Snip) California Governor Gavin Newsom was unamused by the video’s viral success and got triggered. He whined about Musk retweeting Mr. Reagan’s video and said parody like this should be illegal.

Congressional leaders on Monday unveiled the members of the newly minted bipartisan task force to probe the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump earlier this month.
The 13-member panel will be chaired by Rep. Mike Kelly (R-Pa.) with Rep. Jason Crow (D-Col.) serving as the ranking member, according to an announcement from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
“We have the utmost confidence in this bipartisan group of steady, highly qualified, and capable Members of Congress to move quickly to find the facts, ensure accountability, and help make certain such failures never happen again,” Johnson and Jeffries said in a joint statement.

Leave it to me to plan a family cruise vacation on what would eventually become the biggest weekly news cycle in years, but that was my life a couple of weeks ago. I was driving my wife and four teenagers (I know, God help us) from our home in eastern Tennessee to Florida’s Port Canaveral, a twelve hour trek including meals and the obligatory Buc-ee’s pit stop (or two, because Buc-ee’s is freaking awesome), when my son told me from the back that former President Trump had been shot. Thank God he was OK, as we quickly learned, but that evening at the hotel was spent with eyes glued
