Trump plans to stop holding outdoor rallies
after assassination attempt

Former President Donald Trump plans to stop holding outdoor rallies like the one where he was shot during an assassination attempt this month in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to two sources familiar with his campaign’s operations. The sources said current plans are to hold indoor rallies, but they also said it's possible Trump will participate in smaller outdoor events or larger rallies in facilities where entrances are more fully controlled and there are not issues with high ground nearby, like stadiums. Spokespeople for the Trump campaign and the Secret Service did not immediately respond to requests for comment Tuesday night.

He should continue as he always has but use his own security. Eisenhower was criticized for playing golf which made him a target for assassination. Ike said in this country if someone is will to trade their life for his there was little that could be done.

That was the plan all along. Keep him from holding rallies with tens of thousands of people and drive him inside where they can brag that his crowds are much smaller.

Yes, #6. The WAPO says the Secret Service encouraged Trump to hold rallies inside. It is, of course, saying that Trump bragged about and “falsely inflated” the size of those outside crowds. We can expect them to continue incessantly inflating false perspectives of a heartless, lying, egotistical, self-centered Trump, (ex., “[The rallies] usually include large rosters of speakers before Trump takes the stage, with crowds sometimes enduring the heat or the cold for many hours. The crowd sometimes departs before Trump, who is regularly late, finishes speaking.”) https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/23/trump-rallies-secret-service-change/

President Trump would have been thinking of Corey Comperatore and the other two MAGA men who almost lost their lives too, when he made the decision to take the advice to move to inside venues. May God continue to bless and protect him in his efforts to MAGA. God bless US to work as hard as he does, take nothing for granted, and help him to defeat this evil.

After the, now former, head of the Secret Service seemed to imply that the Secret Service either could not or would not provide adequate security for outdoor political events, he is prudent to hold indoor events. It is obvious that the infusion of DEI members into the Secret Service you could DIE if you depend on them for your protection. That is what happens when competence is not in the job description.

I fully understand this on several levels. Trump was very upset that people behind him were wounded and one was killed. He doesn't want that on his hands again. Also, Barron apparently didn't handle it well --- thus his missing the convention. No ... trump should hold it indoors at areas like domed stadiums and Madison Square Garden. There are numerous indoor facilities around the country that could hold anywhere from 15 to 30 thousand people. Then there are the open stadiums that could hold up to a 100 thousand people. Any one of those facilities could be controlled more than an open venue. The biggest problem for Trump is the quality of the protection. Decent protection would have never left the roof of that building unguarded, or the surrounding grounds unguarded.
