These shady, massive, non-government agencies seem as if they're Europe's version of Soros and lefty American tech billionaires, only they're cloaked in an aura of goodness and light, whereas Soros et al. are as dark as money gets.
It also helps that where Soros's money is his own, these NGOs derive their income from?
The European Union coffers.
Neat little circle of self-interest there, no?
EU-funded NGOs are behind attempts to rally the European Parliament against the so-called “far-right”, it has been revealed.
A Brussels Signal investigation has uncovered evidence that advertising campaigns asking centrist and left-wing politicians to fight against hard-right political groups have the backing of state-funded organisations.

“Unless you want to go another round, one of us is going to have to leave, and I was here first,” said Gina Carano’s former Rebel shock trooper Cara Dune in Season 1 of Disney+’s The Mandalorian. Those scripted words from the ex-MMA fighter have an added resonance today, as Disney failed to get Carano’s discrimination lawsuit over her 2021 firing from the Star Wars series dismissed

The U.S. military intercepted several Russian and Chinese bombers in international airspace near the coast of Alaska Wednesday.
Two Russian Tu-95s and two Chinese H-6s entered what is known as the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone, North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement Wednesday night.
The aircraft were "detected, tracked and intercepted," NORAD said. They remained in the Alaska ADIZ and did not enter U.S. airspace.

President Joe Biden cast the contest between former president Donald Trump and presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in existential terms in his Oval Office address Wednesday night, telling voters that the survival of the republic would be in their hands come November.
Biden, 81, spoke for eleven minutes from about what he believes to be a fight for American democracy and his choice to “pass the torch” for the sake of national unity.
“In recent weeks it’s become clear to me, that I need to unite my party in this critical endeavor.

Addressing the nation on camera for the first time since announcing his decision not to run for reelection, President Biden said in the Oval Office that saving democracy is more important than any title, and he acknowledged it was time to "pass the torch" to a new generation of leaders.
Years ago, Mr. Biden called himself a transitional candidate, and listed Vice President Kamala Harris among the younger generation of leaders he saw as the future of the Democratic Party. Now is the time to make way for those newer, younger voices, he said, like that of Harris, whom he has endorsed for the nomination.

Rupert Murdoch is living a real life episode of “Succession” as three of his four children fight his attempts to adjust the family trust to leave eldest son Lachlan in charge following his death.
According to a New York Times report, the 93-year-old media mogul is in conflict with children Prudence, Elisabeth, and James as he tries to adjust the trust. The report comes from a 48-page decision by a Nevada probate commissioner that was originally filed under seal before being obtained by the Times. Murdoch is apparently worried about the more moderate-leaning views of his three other children and thinks Lachlan would best serve the conservative

Nine Just Stop Oil activists were arrested Wednesday near London's Heathrow Airport on suspicion of conspiring to interfere with key national infrastructure.
Airport operations were not disrupted. The arrests were made under Britain's Public Order Act.
"At around 9 a.m., seven Just Stop Oil supporters were arrested at two locations on the perimeter road outside Heathrow. At around 10:50am, the Metropolitan Police confirmed a further two had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to disrupt Heathrow," Just Stop Oil said in a statement.
The group is demanding Britain work with other nations to establish a treaty to end extraction and burning of oil, gas and coal by 2030.

NEW YORK — A wipeout on Wednesday sent U.S. stock indexes to their worst losses since 2022 after profit reports from Tesla and Alphabet helped suck momentum from Wall Street’s frenzy around artificial-intelligence technology.
The S&P 500 tumbled 2.3% for its fifth drop in the last six days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 504 points, or 1.2%, and the Nasdaq composite skidded 3.6%.
The profit reports from Tesla and Alphabet weren’t disasters, but they raised questions among investors about which other market heavyweights’ springtime results could fall short of expectations, said Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at CFRA.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu had harsh words for anti-Israel protesters in his Wednesday address to a joint session of Congress, slamming the activists as “useful idiots” for Iran and other bad actors even as they congregated outside the Capitol.
“Defeating our brutal enemies requires both courage and clarity,” he said. “Clarity begins by knowing the difference between good and evil. Yet, incredibly, many anti-Israel protesters choose to stand with evil. They stand with Hamas. They stand with rapists and murderers. They stand with people who come into the kibbutzim — into the home — with the parents and the children, the two babies in the secret attic, and murder

Elon Musk claims he was 'tricked' by the 'woke mind virus' into allowing one of his sons to become a transgender woman.
The Tesla CEO has long had a contentious relationship with daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson, 20, though that was previously over political disagreements, with Musk having called her a 'communist' who thinks 'anyone rich is evil.'
Jordan Peterson, who was conducting the interview for the Daily Wire, called Musk's initial concerns about suicide 'a lie right from the outset' and said there was 'never any evidence for that', arguing that underlying depression and anxiety cause higher trans suicide rates rather than gender dysphoria.

Tech mogul Elon Musk denied reports that he’s giving millions of dollars a month to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.
Just a week ago, the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk is committing $45 million a month to the former president. During an interview with psychologist and lifestyle author Jordan Peterson on Tuesday, Musk called the newspaper’s report false.
“What’s been reported in the media is simply not true,” Musk said on The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast from the Daily Wire. The Tesla founder clarified that he’s not necessarily actively funding the Trump campaign, saying, “I am not donating $45 million dollars a month to Trump.”

In a ruling today in Consumers’ Research v. FCC, the en banc Fifth Circuit ruled by a vote of 9 to 7 that the multi-billion dollar Universal Service Fund tax levied by the Federal Communications Commission rests on an unconstitutional combination of delegations and subdelegations of Congress’s legislative power. Judge Andrew Oldham wrote the majority opinion for nine judges. Judge Jennifer Elrod and Judge James Ho each wrote short concurring opinions. Judge Carl Stewart wrote the principal dissent for all seven dissenters. Judge Stephen Higginson also wrote a dissent.
