That was one of the more flat 'sloped' roofs, that can barely shed water. Why believe anything else coming from Cheatle? I believe Cheatle actions were intended to at least facilitate the assassination of a former president and current GOP presidential candidate with a motley group of blended DHS personnel, including non-Secret Service agents, who intentionally failed to coordinate with state and local LEOs. A group of cub scouts could have performed a more meaningful sight survey, and planned adequate protection based on the obvious threats and sight lines provided by the structure from where the actual shooter perched, unmolested.

I think that there are other reasons. And it goes to "sources and methods" and not to put too much info out there, it seems that the shot that neutralized Crooks came from some unknown position. I think they are being careful, not giving too much info away to future would be assassins. And in that sense, I'll agree. Too much info on details of security arrangements is NOT helpful for future protection details. Unknowns often trip up would be assissins. We should keep some unknowns, and make it more difficult for them.

Although it was refreshing to see the dems on the committee asking the hard questions, don't be fooled. Their concern isn't about "what has been" but rather, "what can be" with their gal getting out there on the campaign trail. Lots of white supremicists with assault weapons out there, ya know.

They are there to keep the person safe. Period. They blew that assignment, to a level that is nearly incomprehensible: buildings that USSS should have had command of were not even guarded (one guy even sited the shooter with his scope reporting that their eyes met); the perimeter was by far too small; it obviously lacked sufficient and trained personnel; it lacked eyes in the sky; the lack of leadership coming from USSS to the extent there was no coordination with local and state forces. No one in the business can screw up this bad - and that is just the short list. They are hiding something, they are not protecting anything. It is entirely possible that they are withholding information as a means to cover-up the truth as opposed to protecting procedures. After the CIA/FBI and most of the rest of the alphabet agencies, including the security agencies I find more of a reason to shine a light on what happened so that it does not happen again. I think that there is very little value in any bad guy picking up hints from an operation as mishandled as this one. I think it is more important that we learn what happened because there are rumors floating all around that are causing people not to trust our government. It seems to me that if they are afraid to provided an appropriate level of transparency they are admitting they cannot handle every situation - which is their job. No two situations are ever the same, and, let's hope, this one will never be repeated.

While I was watching earlier this morning, from her prepared speech she was reading out of a notebook, she said she had not shorted any security for PDJT and in fact had upped the numbers as they were requesting more security. What does she call the ponytail brigade that were with the security detail on Saturday? That was an upgrade from what he normally had?

Re #8, it doesn't seem likely. From the limited info that has been released, this serious competitive rifle shooter has paid close attention to what is out there, so here is what I have been able to glean. I think this is correct. I have other ideas about exactly what happened from where with the snipers, but will leave that, it may be useful to future would be assassins if it were out there, so I choose not to discuss it. Nothing conspiratorial, just how the SS does some things. There were three bleachers of people behind and to the sides of Trump, and a huge field of people direclty in front of Trump. There was one bleacher directly behind Trump, and one to Trump's right, and one to Trump's left. These two were angled towards the centerline of the event. It seems that the firefighter that was killed was in the extreme outer edge of the bleacher to Trump's right side, farthest end from the center bleacher (camera left in the videos looking at the podium), and the shooter was in that direction, too. So, the murdered firefighter seems to have been "uprange" of Trump, so unlikely that the same bullet that went past Trump killed him. The two other wounded people reportedly were in the near portion (closer to the center bleacher) of the bleachers to Trump's left, (camera right side in the videos)....which is 'downrange' of Trump, so the bullet very well could have grazed Trump's ear and hit one of the two wounded people. Eyewitnesses in the center bleacher have reported three shots from the shooter, then a flurry of countersniper shots. This fits with the three or four videos that I have listened to, running each many times. And I have heard a lot of gunfire in competition, and you learn to count fast shots effectively. I think the shooter put two shots very close past Trump, hitting the two people in the stands past him, and one wild shot pulled to shooter's left, which struck the firefighter. Possibly this was fired reflexively as he was hit in the head, jerkin it substantially left into the other bleacher. The shooter was in the general direction of the big screen display which had the chart that Trump turned to point out details of...which saved his life.

But we are now paying for SS to protect this dumb cow.
