Remember how we’ve been told for years now that climate change, and hence rising sea levels, were an imminent threat to islands and island nations around the world? Well, the New York Times reported a few days ago, oops:
The Vanishing Islands That Failed to Vanish
[W]hen the world began paying attention to global warming decades ago, these islands, which form atop coral reefs in clusters called atolls, were quickly identified as some of the first places climate change might ravage in their entirety. As the ice caps melted and the seas crept higher, these accidents of geologic history were bound to be corrected

Another massive WRONG, for the ecocrazies. Things are not even remotely as they claim. Islands which they predicted were just about to be inundated by the evil results of "man made global warming" aren't being inudated.
In fact, many are growing larger. OOPS, full of baloney again!
Never trust anyone who claims to be a "climate scientist". They probably used to be phrenologists before THAT scam was finally debunked, and have moved on to a new scam. Or maybe they sold extended auto warranties, or perhaps they were used car salesmen.

And Al Gore said that Florida would be under water by now. I just called one of my siblings who resides in that state. The phone connection was clear, there were no gurgling sounds.

I live in coastal SWFL. I just checked again. Nope, no Gulf Coast lapping at my lanai. Big Mike and Stinky bought into alGore's globaloney predictions so much that they bought their MAHthas Vinyud mansion right on the beach. Well, well well, isn't that an inconvenient truth?

Anyone who went to high school in the 70's, and still has a functioning memory, can tell you how many climate flip flops have been pushed in the last 50 years.

After careful examination, most of the BS predictions by the Alarmists just ARE NOT TRUE. Their computer models, based on man-caused (anthropogenic) changes in climate, refuse to match reality. The reason? Garbage in, garbage out. The initial assumptions fed into the models are flat out wrong.
There are some additional bits of information that they ignore that are critical to their failures. First, historically, the levels of CO2, at around 400 PPM, are rather low. There is some level of warming attributed to that level but we are living in it now, and as the article points out, no catastrophes are occurring. Next, even if the levels of CO2 go to 800 PPM, the warming would be only about 1 degree Fahrenheit. This is based on physical laws. So rising CO2 is NOT the threat the Alarmists say it is.
To further bury the Alarmists, there are causes for warming that FIT the changes in climate that are NOT anthropogenic. They have to do with cosmic radiation, cloud formation (that cools by reflecting heat), the magnetic effects of the sun, and the movement of the earth through our galaxy. These four components interact to influence cloud formation and thereby regulate heat absorption by the earth. Enough studies have been done that map actual changes in temperature to correlate with the cosmic radiation/suns magnetic field/motion through the galaxy. The correlation is convincing and it has been going on for a long, long time.
AND all the above is TOTALLY outside mankind's feeble CO2 influences.
Just a little factoid. The average annual temperature in New Hampshire is 49 degrees Fahrenheit and in Florida 73 degrees Fahrenheit, a difference of 24 DEGREES (GASP!!). While the climates are different, both places are quite livable. So, if the overall planetary climate DOES increase in temperature a few degrees, WHY is that a crisis? There may be some serious problems that occur. They should be managed IF and WHEN they happen and NO ONE should be blamed for causing them. It's simply part of the realities of living on this planet.

When I went through Engineering grad school in the 80's a schoolmate was doing his EE Masters work on the "Carbon Cycle" under one of the EE Profs. I'd never heard that term before, so I asked lots of questions at our usual coffee café. At some point it became obvious this was a tremendously complex multi-variable mathematical modelling problem requiring mountains of accurate "raw" data and megawatts of computational power in order to verify. At the time, someone was putting up a bunch of money to study this, as his work was very well funded. I lost track of my friend, but it appears that shortly after he departed for Bell Labs after graduation the "Carbon Cycle" study became the, "Global Warming," or more appropriately, "Anti-Fossil Fuel Campaign" descending into public panic and abject lawlessness.
As far as I can tell, a legitimate field of study got "hijacked" by some leftist, communist, "save-the-planet" group of useful idiots whose true goal is destruction of the USA as a global power.

I remember a TV show called Mr Wizzard. (a Mr Rogers for the nerdy kids). He demonstrated how melting ice in a glass of water did not raise the level. Something I have to try and record on my phone.

You forgot one thing, poster #5. The altering of data by the Climate Cabal. Not only have they monkeyed with current temperatures (East Anglia emails), but they've (think NOAA) "adjusted" temperatures in decades past. There is ample proof of this, all to support the illusion of a warming world. Yeah, temps have risen a little lately, but nothing outside the normal ebb and flow.

#8 is correct. Water takes up less space than ice which is water with air.
As to a slight warming...actually beneficial...longer growing seasons, less cost to heat homes, etc. Another Little Ice Age is what would be harmful, even devastating to certain countries and people.

Very well said, #5. Bravo.
Totally accurate, and infinitely more sensible, factual and scientific than the typical climate crazy.
