Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman lost his primary bid in New York’s 16th Congressional District on Tuesday against Westchester County Executive George Latimer, according to The Associated Press. Bowman, who has served in Congress since 2021, lost to Latimer, who has received support from The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the AP projected. After many scandals and controversies, Bowman is the first member of the progressive “squad” to have been successfully toppled by a moderate challenger.

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert comfortably won her Colorado primary on Tuesday night after switching districts and despite a slew of scandals. The Colorado congresswoman switched from her third district, where she barely etched out victory in 2022, to the the more reliably Republican fourth district after Rep. Ken Buck retired. After handily defeating five other Republicans, she is now comfortably positioned to win with a 13-point GOP advantage in November. Victory came after a rocky year of embarrassing scandals for the 37-year-old grandma.

Judge Cannon on Tuesday held a final day of hearings on Jack Smith’s classified documents case against President Trump. President Trump’s lawyers filed a flurry of motions to dismiss Jack Smith’s case. Judge Cannon scheduled an expanded hearing to allow both sides to present their cases. Cannon did not issue any rulings after Tuesday’s hearing concluded. One of Jack Smith’s prosecutors threw a tantrum and accused Trump’s attorneys of “hijacking” the hearing.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Reproductive Freedom for All announced Tuesday they have endorsed U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Cleveland, for reelection in November. [Snip] Both organizations cited Brown's "steadfast commitment to protecting abortion rights," according to the Brown campaign. Brown "stands with the majority of Ohioans who believe women’s health care decisions should be between them and their doctors," while his challenger, Republican candidate Bernie Moreno, "supports overturning the will of Ohioans with a national abortion ban and has said he's '100% pro-life with no exceptions,'" according to the Brown campaign.

New Yorkers headed to the polls Tuesday to cast their votes in primary elections for members of Congress, the state Assembly and state Senate. Polls statewide closed at 9 p.m. The big race to watch is in the 16th Congressional District covering parts of the Bronx and Westchester, where Westchester County Executive George Latimer looks to unseat embattled far-left Rep. Details have emerged about two individuals at the heart of an FBI political corruption investigation in Oakland, California, which saw the raid of Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao’s home last week. HOUSTON, Texas — Little Jocelyn Nungaray fought back against her attackers after she was lured under a Houston bridge and assaulted for two hours — leaving scratch and bite marks on one of the illegal migrants who is accused of killing her, prosecutors revealed Tuesday. Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, still had the marks Jocelyn left on him when he was arrested, Assistant District Attorney Megan Long said in a Harris County court. Rangel Martinez’s alleged accomplice, Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, told cops he tried to convince Rangel Martinez to stop but he allegedly refused and climbed on top of the girl and strangled her, according to Long.

The detectives were in their own separate vehicles and were not struck.

The gag order imposed on former President Donald Trump by New York Judge Juan Merchan in the case brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has been partially lifted. The change comes three weeks after a stacked New York City jury found Trump guilty on 34 felony bookkeeping violations, which attorneys plan to appeal at sentencing on July 11. Trump can now speak about witnesses and jurors, but not prosecutors, court staff or their families until sentencing. Despite the trial being long over, the gag order has stayed in place.

A tiny baby girl died after being left in the back of a hot car just two months after her adoptive parents took her home as a newborn. Diana Sofia De Los Santos was found unresponsive in the SUV outside her parents' home in Santee, San Diego, about 12.20am on June 13. She had been left in the car for several hours in 63F weather when a family member found her and called 911. The baby girl was rushed to hospital but did not survive. San Diego County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating how Diana was forgotten in the car and who left her there. No charges have been filed. Studies show temperature

Oklahoma’s state supreme court ruled on Tuesday that the nation’s first publicly funded religious charter school, St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School, is unconstitutional. Charter schools are required to be “nonsectarian in their programs, admission policies, and other operations,” the court wrote. Oklahoma’s Charter School Board approved St. Isidore’s application to become a virtual charter school in June last year, and the school was slated to open in fall 2024. “This State’s establishment of a religious charter school violates Oklahoma statutes, the Oklahoma Constitution, and the Establishment Clause,” the court wrote. “St. Isidore cannot justify its creation by invoking Free Exercise rights as a religious entity. To recap, the child, Jocelyn Nungaray, was found strangled to death in a creek in Houston, Texas. Two illegal aliens from Venezuela were arrested for her death. They are Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26. Pena Ramos had his bail set at $10 million. The two illegals reportedly lured the girl under a bridge and assaulted her for hours before she was killed, which Townhall covered.

CNN defended its debate co-hosts from critics on Monday after they came under fire for being biased against former President Donald Trump. The statement came after the Trump campaign ripped CNN for abruptly ending its interview with Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt. CNN’s Kasie Hunt, a former MSNBC host, suddenly ended the interview when Leavitt highlighted CNN’s Jake Tapper’s long history of criticizing Trump. Tapper is co-hosting Thursday’s first presidential debate with Dana Bash. President Biden’s latest student loan bailout was blocked Monday by federal judges in Kansas and Missouri following a lawsuit from several Republican-led states. The nationwide preliminary injunctions issued by US District Judges Daniel Crabtree in Kansas and John Ross in Missouri – both appointees of former President Barack Obama – prevent the Biden administration from canceling any more federal student debt for borrowers enrolled in the Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan. The 81-year-old president’s Education Department will also be barred from implementing new SAVE plan provisions while the litigation plays out. The judges did not call for debt relief already handed out to be clawed back.
