It’s a line we’ve heard in countless movies and TV shows. Get the picture: a terrorist group hijacks a plane, kidnaps an American, or otherwise takes over something on U.S. soil, and the country’s leaders are discussing what to do. Usually, the president or someone else in the administration says that inevitable line: “We do not negotiate with terrorists!”
If we are to believe a report from NBC, that’s not the case anymore. Or, as my colleague Ed Morrissey put it: “Old and busted: America doesn't negotiate with terrorists. New hotness: We'd rather cut a deal with terrorists than support our ally.”

Federal prosecutors have taken on a case regarding the 2021 murder of a National Guardsman in Chicago after Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office refused to charge a gang member in the killing.
The victim in the case is identified as 19-year-old National Guardsman Chrys Carvajal, who was spending time with his family in 2021 for Fourth of July celebrations on the city’s Northwest Side, CWB Chicago reported Saturday.

Law enforcement asked for charges to be brought in the case, but prosecutors claimed there was insufficient evidence to do so and said the officers needed to have more proof.

They’re not even trying to hide it anymore.
After a week where the polls didn’t give the Biden-Harris ticket the bump Democrats were hoping for, Vice President Kamala Harris escalated her criticism of presumptive GOP presidential nominee and former President Donald Trump on Saturday, arguing his conviction on 34 questionable felony counts in a Manhattan court ought to be “disqualifying.”
The speech, given at a Democratic Party dinner Saturday in Detroit, gave Harris the opportunity to up the rhetoric over what she termed Trump’s “attacks” on the justice system, according to Politico.

A new crime wave has reportedly hit the streets of New York City as illegal migrants are deliberately jumping in front of moving cars to extort money from terrified drivers.
The New York Post has reported on this disturbing trend, where migrants brazenly risk their lives in an attempt to financially exploit unsuspecting drivers. The illegal aliens have escalated their dangerous scam, particularly in Brooklyn’s bustling streets.
Dashcam footage obtained by The Post vividly captures one such incident on Flatbush Avenue South. The video shows a migrant deliberately leaping into the path of a car, forcing the driver to make a hazardous swerve to avoid a collision.

Joe Biden on Sunday spoke to reporters at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in Belleau, Northern France.
Joe and Nurse Jill laid a wreath at the WWI American cemetery. Of course, Jill had to lead the way as her invalid husband shuffled along. [Video]
Biden stopped to chat with reporters at the cemetery. As usual, Biden made it about himself – and Ukraine.
He told reporters that being in France reminded him of his uncle Bosie whom he has repeatedly claimed was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea.
Biden also brought up his deceased son Beau.
Beau Biden died of brain cancer at Walter Reed in Bethesda, Maryland in 2015.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that Abdallah Aljamal, an Al Jazeera reporter and photojournalist, was actively holding three Israeli hostages within his residence in central Gaza’s Nuseirat.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that four hostages, identified as Noa Argamani (25), Almog Meir Jan (21), Andrey Kozlov (27), and Shlomi Ziv (40), were rescued on Saturday in a daring IDF operation.
Noa Argamani was abducted while attending the Nova music festival on October 7. The young woman was reunited with her father and her terminally ill mother after being held captive for nearly eight months.
The IDF released a statement following the successful operation,

As we reported on Saturday after news broke that Israel had freed four hostages in a daring rescue operation in Gaza, the worse-than-inept Biden administration released an incredulous statement, again calling for Israel to accept an ill-advised ceasefire with Hamas.
Meanwhile on Saturday, an angry mob of pro-Hamas, anti-Israel activists converged on the White House, intent on creating as much havoc as possible. Biden's White House wasn't the only target of the well-organized and well-funded demonstrations. [Tweet]

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) may be secure in her job at present, but she might need to reconsider the sourcing of some of her campaign donations. According to an exclusive report from the New York Post, at least one donation she received during her 2020 campaign came from a former city attorney who was convicted of fraud.
A former Atlanta city attorney who was sentenced to seven years in prison over a massive $15 million pandemic loan fraud donated to Trump prosecutor Fani Willis’s campaign after applying for the government handouts, records show.

Chicago police and other city officials have been saying for months that the Democratic National Convention in August will not be anything like the riots of 1968.
“This will not be 1968,” said Chicago police Superintendent Larry Snelling. “Our response as a Chicago Police Department will be a lot more deliberate … a lot more controlled because our officers are being trained in the best way possible to respond to any level of civil unrest.”
Snelling is not wrong. Chicago in 1968 was a seething mass of anger, rage, and unrest. Riots in April following the death of Martin Luther King had torched several city blocks.

As the WNBA’s Caitlin Clark continues to face discrimination on the court for being white and straight, another outrage has occurred that has many scratching their heads. On Saturday, it was announced that she didn’t make the roster for the USA women’s basketball Olympic team for the games in Paris.
Does this make any sense to you?
According to Christine Brennan of USA Today, the U.S. women’s Olympic basketball team is "the most dominant and successful team in the world.” The last time they lost a game was 1992. Yet, despite that success, she explains, the U.S. women’s basketball players are largely ignored in favor of gymnasts, swimmers, runners,

Hartford, Connecticut’s Mayor Arunan Arulampalam (D) is denouncing residents of a predominately black community for arming themselves to fight violent crime.
The New York Post reported the residents, approximately 40 in all, are calling themselves the “Self-Defense Brigade.” The armed residents patrol the streets of their neighborhood at night and keep an eye on homes and businesses via drones.
The brigade was founded by Cornell Lewis, who told FOX News, “The Democrat machine in Hartford is either unwilling or unable, incapable, of doing it, and people are paying their tax dollars, and they’re not really getting any kind of service.
