An unusual politician came to former President Donald Trump’s defense after a Manhattan jury found him guilty of falsifying business records in a sham trial. Republican Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) criticized progressive Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for politically persecuting the former president.
Romney, a long-time Trump critic, accused Bragg of committing “political malpractice,” arguing that the case should have been settled without a trial.
“Bragg should have settled the case against Trump, as would have been the normal procedure. But he made a political decision,"

When the Trump hating Mitt Romney chastises Alvin Bragg instead of praising him, you know just how corrupt this trial was.

While he should have used the term, "legal malpractice", Pierre knows Braggie and his team of junior jackals are protected from any legal claims by Trump. Why? Read as follows. This quote was taken from the Baez Law Firm website -
"Federal law does not yet properly address prosecutorial misconduct. Not only are attorneys who work in the district attorney’s office immune from being sued for their mistakes, anyone wrongfully convicted is also prohibited from suing the state unless they can conclusively prove that they are innocent (i.e. it is not enough to have been the vitim of an unfair trial)"

Agree with #7. This is legal malpractice. Mitt Romney got it wrong. This is why politics should never be allowed in the legal system. Everything we have seen has been politically motivated. Mitt Romney can still go rot. The only reason Romney came out in support of Trump was because it benefits him politically. Never mind right and wrong.

I have been thinking it would be just deserts if about 200 dimocrats each found themselves on the wrong end of a lawfare campaign. But on second thought, I would rather see about 200 prominent RINOs treated to such indignity. RINOs are just as culpable as dims, but if such a campaign was waged, we'd have the support of the MSM and the idiot dims.

Hey Mitt, ever think about using these descriptors instead; Lawfare, Prosecutorial Abuse, Legal Persecution, Abuse of Power, or simply, EVIL?
