Many Jewish Americans preparing to celebrate the Passover holiday are still mourning the tragic loss of their brothers and sisters in Israel, who suffered unspeakable crimes at the hands of Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7. Much trauma was relived last weekend when Israel suffered an unprecedented direct attack from Iran.
Regrettably, as time has passed since October, the Biden administration has increasingly chosen to sympathize less with the Israelis and more with those opposed to eliminating Hamas. The White House’s reaction to Iran’s attack, immediately urging Israeli restraint, was likewise troubling. President Joe Biden’s initial instincts displayed on Oct. 10,

Working for then Minnesota Senator Walter Mondale in the summer of 1969, I went to hear the late Allard Lowenstein speak to a large group of interns. Lowenstein was serving his only term in Congress before he was gerrymandered out of his district.
Lowenstein asked us to go back to our campuses, do our thing in opposition to the Vietnam war, and “eschew violence.” He said the word “eschew” several times, emphasizing its Anglo-Saxon roots. The derivation is more complicated than that, but Lowenstein’s emphasis on it is why I remember what he said. In 1980 Lowenstein was himself murdered by “a deranged acquaintance,” as

There wasn’t any woman a Kennedy wouldn’t take to bed. Mob boss girlfriend, communist spy, Hollywood actress, sister-in-law, widow, intern, whatever. And those are just the ones we know about. While the sex stories have died down with the passing of pants-less Uncle Teddy, the screwing continues in a different form: they now screw each other. No, not like that – they aren’t Ilhan Omar. They’re screwing each other in metaphorical ways, symbolic ways.
There was a time when the Kennedy family stuck together. It was an admirable quality, that loyalty, even though it didn’t apply to anyone who married into the family. Well, ok, loyalty

We are now roughly six and a half months from election day or election month, depending on your state’s election laws.
Today, we’ll focus on Joe Biden’s recent polling surge, as shown in the Real Clear Politics Poll Average of Trump vs Biden. You will note Trump is up over Biden by a whopping 0.4 percentage points. If we remove the possible outlier Rasmussen survey from the average, showing Trump at +8, Joe Biden would be ahead by 0.4. Republicans might be dismayed by this, and Democrats encouraged.
In January of this year, Trump was ahead of Biden by +4. Since then, the poll average

Rep. Bennie Thompson (D. Miss.), who chaired the House J6 Committee, introduced legislation that calls for President Donald Trump to lose his Secret Service protection if he’s convicted and sent to prison. Thompson fully understands that there is a strong likelihood that the current Manhattan hush money trial or the upcoming Georgia RICO trial, both of which are open partisan lawfare rather than justice, will see at least one felony conviction and prison sentence for Trump. In other words, this legislation is an almost explicit call for Trump’s assassination.
It’s been apparent since the get-go that the myriad criminal actions against Trump are a form of election interference. Each case

Anne Kirkpatrick, the police chief for the city of New Orleans, “is one of the most tenured police executives in the country,” which is just code for: seasoned bureaucrat hired by city officials. And you know what that means? There’s a very simple and easy solution to this problem.
First though, the story, from AWR Hawkins at Breitbart:
New Orleans police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick wants gun-free zones within the city where even licensed concealed carriers would be barred from carrying for self-defense.
4WWL reported that Kirkpatrick is pushing the zones in response to the constitutional carry bill signed by Gov. Jeff Landry (R) on March 5, 2024.
Per Hawkins, Kirkpatrick said the bill

Crimes like falsifying business records, forgery, filing false statements, impersonation, certain forms of obstruction of justice or of an official proceeding (such as by concealment, falsification, or false records), and conspiracies or rackets to do any of the foregoing are all instances of “fraud type” crimes. At their essence, they all require that there be a false statement or a misrepresentation—a lie.
Some crimes are frauds per se. These crimes are committed to deceive for some purpose, usually to obtain money or property. At the federal level, wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, and health care fraud are quintessential examples of per se frauds. Prosecutors charge

Military action between the Islamic Republic and Israel have thrust the Middle Eastern region into the spotlight.
However, it is crucial to delve deeper into the intricate dynamics at play beyond geopolitical maneuvering and saber-rattling. One key distinction often overlooked is the differentiation between the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people.
Iran means the land of Aryans.
The first step in supporting Iranians is to recognize and understand the distinction between the Iranian people and the Islamic Republic. It is essential to acknowledge that the Iranian people are distinct from the regime that governs them. This understanding can help prevent the conflation of the actions of the regime with the desires

Dickey Betts, whose country-inflected songwriting and blazing, lyrical guitar work opposite Duane Allman in the Allman Brothers Band helped define the Southern rock genre of the ‘60s and ‘70s, died Thursday in Osprey, Fla. He was 80.
His family posted a statement on Instagram, writing, “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Betts family announce the peaceful passing of Forrest Richard ‘Dickey’ Betts (December 12, 1943 – April 18, 2024) at the age of 80 years old. The legendary performer, songwriter, bandleader and family patriarch passed away earlier today at his home in Osprey, FL., surrounded by his family. Dickey was larger than life,

President Joe Biden said Wednesday that his "Uncle Brosie" may have been eaten by cannibals on the Australian island of New Guinea during World War II.
Biden made the comments to the press around 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport in Avoca, Pennsylvania, before departing for Pittsburgh to speak to union steelworkers and make an election pitch that includes tripling tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum to protect American producers.
On Tuesday, the president visited Scranton and pitched a new tax plan he said would benefit middle-class American families. He later visited his childhood home before speaking at the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local Union 445.

Joe Biden is out in Pennsylvania saying that Trump got rich the old-fashioned way: he inherited it. At least that is an honest way to get rich. Trump inherited money, and he took a massive amount of risk and created a huge number of jobs.
Biden, on the other hand, got rich the same way a lot of politicians get rich. He used his powerful position in government and took his son around the world on government-paid transportation, collecting kickbacks from a number of adversaries, including Russia, Ukraine, and China. The only thing the Biden family had to sell was access to Joe.

Housing prices are out of control. As any economist will tell you, there are two ways to bring the price of a good down: increase the supply or reduce the demand.
Building houses—increasing the supply—is a complex and relatively difficult business. It requires time, labor, materials, and expertise. It is also environmentally taxing. Building lots of houses in quick succession can easily lead to urban sprawl, congestion, and unaesthetic cookie-cutter suburbs stretched out to the horizon. Residents of Dallas-Fort Worth know exactly what I’m talking about.
But there is, of course, another way to reduce the cost of housing in America—we could reduce demand.
