Iran reportedly is considering an attack on Israel that would widen the war in the Middle East. This is from the Wall Street Journal:
Israel is preparing for a direct attack from Iran on southern or northern Israel as soon as Friday or Saturday, according to a person familiar with the matter. A person briefed by the Iranian leadership, however, said that while plans to attack are being discussed, no final decision has been made.

Earlier this week, U.S. intelligence reports showed that an attack on Israeli assets by Iran or its proxies could be imminent

If that happens, Joe will put a hold on the November elections. I guess they decided it was too soon for another pandemic, so we will have a war instead. Imagine their excitement at holding up the November elections.

Our Potato in Chief is capable of realizing (however dimly) that "war-time presidents" usually get a boost in popularity in the face of external threats. Even George Bush saw a sudden rise in his approval rating after the planes flew into the towers. An undeserved increase in popularity, along with a welcome distraction from the border, inflation, and his own corruption. What's not to like?

Let's hope they don't have that nuclear bomb that Obama and the democrat's treaty agreed to allow.

FTA:
"Ayatollah Khamenei is said to be “concerned a direct attack could backfire with the projectiles being intercepted and Israel responding with a massive retaliation on Iran’s strategic infrastructure.”
Yes, this is a very real possibility. Iran could lose a LOT more than Israel in this sort of an exchange. And it the Persians want to play nukes.....they can lose even BIGGER.

If we get dragged in, it would be an easy win if we had the will. Problem is, we dont and haven't since WW2. Its all about making war last forever and spending billions on defense toys that disappear in an instant and then you have nothing to show for it. But it still has to be paid for.

The Arabs boast and brag. We will see. I suspect that whatever they actually do, they will get 10 fold in return. Of course the Arabs will whine about an "unbalanced response" just like they have with Gaza.
This is a war. The Arabs started it. They thought they could act without cost. They have been massively wrong. Part of the scale of Israel's retribution is that Netanyahu knew he could not count on the US with Biden as President, so Israel had to go all in. If Iran attacks Israel, the same thinking will apply, that the US is useless as an ally with dems and Biden in charge. Israel must react to decisively prove the point.
I also suspect that the other power players in the world will bluster and pontificate but they don't want a big war that no one can win and the Arabs are no longer worth getting involved to an extreme. Further, a lot of the other Arab states don't like Iran. The other Arab states may not say it but a big takedown of Iran would not cause too many tears to be shed. Behinds the scenes, a crippled Iran might be seen as a good thing.

Sorry #1, I'm already seeing signs that bird flu will be the next pandemic. North Carolina is reporting it has spread to cows. Hmmm. Can the WHO organization be far behind in helping out FJB/Demonrats? May not need to cancel the elections. Lockdowns require more mail in ballots.
Re: war with Iran. Will Russia use Iran as a proxy versus US as payback for our use of Ukraine against them?

Three thousand years ago, Leonidas, the leader of the 300 Spartans who opposed Xerxes, the Persian king, with 100,000 to 200,000 troops.
Xerxes sent a messenger to tell the Spartans to lay down their arms.
Leonidas said, "Molon labe". Literally, "come and take them"
This has echoed down history for 3,000 years.
Even today, patriots quote Leonidas when ordered to disarm.
Israel against the Persians....Israel is are a lot better armed than the Spartans and there are a lot more of them. And Ayatollah Xerxes better watch his weather report. It could be 10,000 F and VERY BRIGHT if he's not careful.

The reality is that if we bloody Iran's nose, they will likely back down.
Unfortunately, we have the wrong president in the WH.
