Perhaps the most worrisome news of the day is the Iranian threat to launch a massive drone and missile attack against Israel. Up to this time, Iran has worked with considerable effect through its proxies, principally the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and — if it is not too far-fetched to suggest — Iran’s increasingly reliable proxy outrider the United States of America under the feckless and incompetent Joe Biden.
Like his mentor Obama before him, Biden is one of Israel’s most consistent and determined critics and, judging from his betrayal of Israel at the United Nations, a capricious and untrustworthy ally as well.

Let's remember we've rather depleted our firepower in many ways over the last few years.
Hnnn...perhaps they're counting on that...

I could very well be #3, but the perception of misguided directives resulting in low military recruiting, as well as massive arms transfers to Ukraine, drained oil reserves. etc., does not give me confidence.

Oil resevers....yes. You're right.
Low recuruit, yes. Right again.
As for stocks of weapons, barring a three or four year war, our stocks are fine. Huge amounts of what has gone to Ukraine in the way of weapons is stuff which is either in storage after use, never to be used again, like old Bradleys of earlier models that the US Army doesn't use and won't ever use, or a few tens of old Abrahms models, same situation. And a lot of stuff that is getting replaced with newer weapons systems.
Like the ATACMs missiles.....we are rapidly phasing them out, and giving the old ones missiles, the ATACMs to Ukraine means that we won't pay to dismantle and destroy them. Saves money. The new Precion Strike Missile is being delivered, and as the ATACMs are phased out....no loss in capability.
Similar for howitzer shells. They have a shelf life, say 20 years. So at 20 you take out "perfectly good" artillery shells, and pay a LOT to either destroy them or rework them into 'rebuilt' artillery shells. And they get replaced with new...with a 20 year shelf life. So, give shells with 2-3 years left on shelf life, or less away, is a real cost of from saving money to small cost. They were like ten day old loaves of bread....still good, but NOT for much longer.
Huge amounts of what we gave to Ukraine was absolutely surplus, old stuff, sitting in warehouses or parked in fields, never to be used again.
The amount of stored ammo is reported to meet the specified war fighting reserve requirements. I cannot personally vouch for those requirements being "perfect", and given the IMMENSE consumption of weapons of all kinds in Ukraine, I HOPE that we are steadily INCREASING our stockpiles, because use rates are amazingly high.
Do I trust Joe to do the very best things for the US military.....no, I don't. But, as far as I can tell, the overwhelming majority of stuff sent will have zero impact on our readiness. Could I be wrong, yes, they can be setting the "acceptable stockpile limits" too low. Who really knows how much is needed in any stockpile until the time actually comes? All is estimates., based on expected use rates.

this middle east conflict is prophesied in Ps 83. These 'confederate Arab nations' have attacked Israel (gaza) and the rest of the 10 are conspiring to do their part very soon. Meanwhile the feckless democommies in the woke nations of Europe and America keep on sending money to Israel's enemies and threaten to shut off our armament supplies to Israel. They continue to foll around with a 2-state solution even though Gaza proved it will not work. But God has His Plan for all these fools. Israel pays a high price but will extend its borders outward quite a bit for security.

Cripple Iran's oil facilities and they will have no money for war.

You can add GWB and his ilk to that list.

Before America can hit back at Iran, America is going to take a "real kick in the b*lls". Israel will come out swinging, but I have my doubts about the US.

I would assume that all the Dolphin subs are at sea, on highest alert. Indications are that some of them can fire nuclear tipped ballistic missiles. But Israel has never admitted to possessing nuclear weapons. They do possess the Jericho missiles. These are able to deliver heavy warheads to any part of the middle east, and that would include nukes, if Israel has them It has been speculated that they have had nukes for 40 years or longer. Certainly they have the technical capability to design and build them.
I don't think that Israel will use them lightly, but, if there is a serious danger of the country being overrun, I would not be surprised to see a bright flash over the capitol of the attacker.
Remember, Iran believes intensely in the 12th imam prophesy which requires Armageddon to happen before their 'savior' can return to defeat all the unbelievers and rule the whole world as Muslim. It seems that the mullahs do NOT fear nuclear war, but seek it.
Muslims are an extremely dangerous death cult.

All of this is so unnecessary. At the end of Trump's first term, Iran was broke This idiot gave them billions of dollars to build up the military again.

Thanks for your comments, DVC. You provided what amounted, at least to me, some interesting 'inside baseball' that I was ignorant of. And yes, the Iranian mullahs and their followers are a death cult. But I'm not sure that the rest of the populace is necessarily in sync with their 7th century suicidal nonsense. Hopefully another Iranian revolution is in the offing at some point down the road where the Iranian people rise up and throw out the crazies.
