My last post yesterday was kind of a quick, one-day-news-tour around the wreckage #Bidenomics has left strewn across the American landscape. To wit, the inflation pressures, employment pressures, and unending social reengineering pressures.
Being subject to the progressive grifting regime has not been beneficial in the least for the country's psyche, soul, or security, either safety or financial.
One tidbit that dropped yesterday, which I only bumped up against, was the explosion of credit card delinquencies. In this Biden induced time of wage stagnation and job insecurity coupled with exploding household costs, it's not really surprising when even formerly comfortable people are feeling the pinch.

Thirty percent of black men and 11 percent of black women intend to vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024, Wall Street Journal polling found Thursday, which is a significant increase from 2020 data.
Losing black support would be a blow to President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign. Only 12 percent of black men voted for Trump in 2020, voting data shows. There is no compatible 2020 polling for black men.
In 2020, six percent of black women said they would vote for Trump, Associated Press polling found, five points less than the Journal‘s 2024 polling.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) on Wednesday explained his apparent flip-flop on a controversial surveillance law, saying that he now favors limited reforms after receiving a classified briefing.
Speaker Johnson was asked by reporters why he changed his opinion on reforming Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), a controversial surveillance law that is meant to target foreign adversaries, but often surveils Americans’ communications without a warrant. Johnson this week came out against a warrant requirement for Section 702 and moved not to allow an amendment that would have barred intelligence and law enforcement agencies from purchasing Americans’ private information through third-party data brokers. This is considered a run around

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says it is “preposterous” to suggest that President Joe Biden is importing millions of migrants to the United States to inflate political power in favor of Democrats.
During a Senate budget hearing on Wednesday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) asked Mayorkas if it is a fact “that the number of illegal immigrants that you and the president allow into our country counts for congressional district reapportionment?” Mayorkas initially responded, saying “I’m not sure I understand your question but I can surely share with you that I disagree with its phrasing.”

Tensions surrounding a potential Iranian attack on Israel appeared to reach new heights Thursday as the Israeli military said it was fully prepared for an incoming strike and as multiple international actors warned Tehran against a major assault on the Jewish state.
Israel is “on alert and highly prepared for various scenarios, and we are constantly assessing the situation,” IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said at a press
conference. “We are ready for attack and defense using a variety of capabilities that the IDF has, and also ready with our strategic partners,” he said, referring to the head of US

Perhaps the most worrisome news of the day is the Iranian threat to launch a massive drone and missile attack against Israel. Up to this time, Iran has worked with considerable effect through its proxies, principally the Houthis in Yemen, Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and — if it is not too far-fetched to suggest — Iran’s increasingly reliable proxy outrider the United States of America under the feckless and incompetent Joe Biden.
Like his mentor Obama before him, Biden is one of Israel’s most consistent and determined critics and, judging from his betrayal of Israel at the United Nations, a capricious and untrustworthy ally as well.

Iran has warned the Biden White House that if the United States interferes in its anticipated retaliatory strike against Israel, the United States will become a legitimate target for Iranian terrorism. According to the anti-American and pro-Hamas website The Intercept, "On Monday night, Iran conveyed to the Biden administration that if it involved itself in defending Israel were Tehran to undertake a retaliatory strike, it would consider the United States a viable target as well. The issue was discussed at a Tuesday NSC meeting, according to notes reviewed by The Intercept. (The NSC did not respond to a request for comment.)"

Harvard is reversing its test-optional policy, the university announced Thursday, making standardized testing once again a requirement of admission.
Students applying to Harvard College for fall 2025 must submit either SAT or ACT scores, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences said. There are exceptions for certain circumstances when applicants cannot access SAT or ACT testing, in which case alternative tests such as AP and IB exam results may be accepted.
“Standardized tests are a means for all students, regardless of their background and life experience, to provide information that is predictive of success in college and beyond,” Edgerley Family Dean of the Faculty

Arizona’s Democrat Attorney General says she will not enforce an 1864 law that was upheld by the state Supreme Court on Tuesday banning nearly all abortions.
“The decision made by the Arizona Supreme Court today is unconscionable and an affront to freedom. Make no mistake, by effectively striking down a law passed this century and replacing it with one from 160 years ago, the Court has risked the health and lives of Arizonans,” Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes (pictured above) said in a statement. “The Arizona Court of Appeals decision, which the Supreme Court has struck down [on Tuesday], was well reasoned and aligned with how courts harmonize different legislation.”

MADISON, Wisconsin — Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley announced Thursday that she will not seek another term, setting up a high-stakes fight for control of the battleground state’s highest court.
Bradley, who is part of the court’s 4-3 liberal majority, said she felt confident she could win a fourth 10-year term but that it was time to “pass the torch.” Her term will end July 31, 2025. The election for the open seat will be held next April. Brad Schimel, the former Republican attorney general, announced in November that he plans to run.

Idaho Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 538 on Monday. This means that Idaho school districts will soon have to remove any requirements that teachers use the preferred pronouns of transgender students.
The legislation enacts protections for public employees, including teachers, who are unwilling to use someone's preferred name and pronouns. Idaho Statehouse Republicans overwhelmingly supported it.
Teachers will no longer be allowed to refer to a student by a name or pronoun that doesn't match their birth sex unless the teacher has parental consent. Teachers have the right to sue their school district if they are disciplined for refusing to use a transgender student's preferred name or pronoun.

Joe Biden's former Chief of Staff and one of his longest-running confidants was caught on a leaked recording ranting against the president's current communications strategy. It represented the latest sign that Democrats are panicking over the prospect of Donald Trump emerging victorious after November's election.
Ronald Klain, who served as Chief of Staff for both Biden's vice presidency and presidency, was unknowingly recorded at a private event in which he launched into an obscenity-filled critique of the current president. Specifically, he claimed that Biden was too focused on mundane "accomplishments" and not on what Americans actually care about.
